No problemo! All of the lore is here, feel free to ask questions about anything specific or if you need to know more for your character.
I'm going to allow as many characters as you can manage for now, and feel free to post the application here in the ooc so I can review it before I give you the good to go to put in the character tab.
Form on Earth: He has many forms but his favorite is an old, wizened man.
Powers: The Death Shepard- Absolute power over the mortal life cycles. Death is a natural state of all living things, and he is the caretaker. He can end anything within a single heartbeat, or prolong it forever. Shape shifting- Death can take many forms, from the smallest of ants to the largest of creatures, save those that are not mortal. Intangible- He can go into a state of being where nothing can physically touch him.
Weapon: His weapon of power is a large ornate Shepard's hook. It allows access to the the Underworld and all that encompasses the place, acting as a key of sorts.
History(Before Earth Bound): Death came into being knowing precisely his role in the grand scheme of all things. He would rule over the Underworld, were souls would come to rest in peace after their mortal toils. Even though he would rule, his tasks were more akin to that of a caretaker. He did not not hate his tasks, he did not love his tasks, he simply did them because that was his purpose.
Within time, he would come to see that every living creature was precious. That every living thing had a purpose of their own, but they got to choose how their lives played out. Whether by instinct or choice, mortals did not have a predetermined role and for that he loved them. The one certainty in a mortal life is death, and he would be there to carry them away whenever their time came.
When Humanity was born his feelings only grew. They were different from the rest, free to live anyway they wanted and die from a plethora of reasons. They truly were the Sun and Moons greatest gifts, for he had never cared for the Gods as much as he did for things of flesh and bone. So he watched the humans with great interest, theirs was a struggle unlike anything he had seen before and it fascinated him, until they came. In droves, and droves other Gods finally took an interest in what the Sun and Moon had created and they did nothing but defile them.
For centuries he saw humans live a pitiful existence, broken and battered by those they could never really beat or overcome. The gods were a cruel lot who used humanity as toys, sowing chaos with their schemes and wars. Millions died but they did not care, why would they? They could not choose how their lives played out, Gods had a determined role in the grand scheme of all things. Perhaps it was jealousy that guided them or pleasure, Death did not know but he cared so greatly that he knew it must end. So in a place where the light did not exist, he forged a lock and key from the bones of the forgotten, the broken and the damned.
The Gods would never stop abusing humanity, so Death locked them on Earth for eternity. He did not lock Heaven's gates out of malice or spite, but of pity. Pity for the gods who were damned to their one fate. They could not be humans, but perhaps they could learn to be like them. One day, whether be himself or another, the gates would open again, as it was the in the grand scheme of all things but perhaps it could be avoided for a time.
History(Post Earth Bound): Deaths watch was eternal, it always had been, it always would be. Yet, he was diligent in this task, because watching could bring answers to questions unknown. After the gates were locked the Gods howled in rage for years, still grasping onto the ancient ways they lived as Gods for as long at they could before they ceased to be them. It was a cruel fate, but a necessary one.
As time went on, the humans grew, expanded, and to his horror, they adopted the ways of the Gods. The parallels were all the same. They were cruel to one another, plotted, schemed, and had hate in their hearts. Some still strove for balance with their home, but more and more greed was overtaking the minds of humanity. It sickened him, but he did not see a way to fix such a problem but let it run its course. Whether or not that course ended in tragedy, he was not.
Then Hollow arrived and ruined everything. It was too soon, too soon for their return, humanity was not yet ready and he was not sure most of the Gods had moved on. The key to the lock was hidden very carefully, yet somehow one spirit had found it and then used that key to bring back their powers. Now was the time to act and he was afraid.
Other Gods
Amos- "Oh Amos... His purpose was to protect Heaven from all incursion, and he always succeeded. I pity him the most, for he has wandered without purpose since the fall. He probably hates me, and I don't blame him but he saw mankind's plight from high above- and he did nothing."
Fiala- "Mistress Luck, helping humanity since the dawn of their time. Fiala was always the trickster in the Heaven's and down on Earth, only problem was humanity made an easy tool for laughter. I wish she had left some of them alone, but I am glad she's tried harder then most to live."
Hiraga- "Hiraga is the protector of the mortal realm and I failed her the most. By taking away her powers, she's watched humanity tear apart the planet she is bound too. I hope one day she can forgive me for my transgression, but it was necessary at the time. And one I do not regret."
Goehearth- "Somewhere along the line, Goehearth decided that I was his friend. Perhaps I was too kind to him, but anarchy is seldom loved by others. Who better then death? I know all to well what anarchy can bring, but anarchy is in the Grand Scheme of all Things and I am no judge."
Brod- "Brod has worked beauty over the centuries, weaving and molding objects to his desire. His origin is unknown but I have my guesses. He is extremely good at what he does, but by nature he will never find perfection, and that's necessary."
Stjerne- "The Star God has worked wonders up above. It is a realm alien to me, but I find myself enamored with their beauty. He was fortunate to be born in a time of peace, when the Stars could grow without consequence. But I fear that we overlooked something, something terrible."
Zencrux- "The storms are another beauty of the mortal world. They take and give life, without them ecosystems would die off. Zencrux is the embodiment of the storm and I am glad he has cooled down from his tempest of youth."
Cyl'Nyarlith- "This one has always perplexed me since the day of birth. The last child of Solaria and Lunus, yet so different from the others in many ways, one might think they were not related. Cyl's magical tendencies has been the bane of many humans. I wish they had never taught them magic, it did more harm then good."
Huseror- "He is an old one, coming from a time when Solaria and Lunus were but in their youth. I have not a clue where his dark nature evolved from but I know he is not the first, nor will he be the last that call the darkness home."
Vetra- "She knows too much for her own good, but I suppose it is only in her nature. One day she will learn that not everything is boring. All things have a place in the Grand Scheme of all Things. I will take great satisfaction on that day."
Regales-
Iratze-
Demigods
Hiyori Kozlovsky- No opinion yet.
Keyla Harms- "Keyla has a strength she finds herself lacking, if only she knew how compassionate she was. It could truly change the world, I have seen it."
Jericho- "The son of his father, Jericho's path has always been one of anger. His heart is strong and in the right place."
Nemeria- "A twisted soul, she does not think highly of her father but deep down she knows that she cares for him."
Shirley- "Another of Hiraga's offspring. Gluttony and lust, what a combination."
Luke Favaro- No opinion.
Mortals
David Turner- "Just another mortal, living his life the best way he thinks he can, I admire that."

Important News
God applications are closed until further notice. We need more demigods/humans to even out the rosters. God applications will be opened up once more when the time is right.
Age: Looks like he is in his thirties, but his real age is unknown.
God status: God of Valor
Personality: -Unknown-
Parents: The Sun and Moon
Sexuality: Straight
Form on Earth:
True Form:
Powers:
Divine Strength – Has enhanced strength, even more so then other gods. Divine Weapons – Has incredible mastership of weapons and there attributes. Lightning magic – The ability to use weaponized lightning. (ex; a lightning bolt)
Weapon/Attribute: He has a heavenly sword called Cerbanis, which is an extension of himself and can be called upon at any time. (Unless it is de-powered). Cerbanis itself grants the user spectral wings that allow flight.
History (Pre-Earth bound): Being one of the eldest born to the Sun and Moon, Amos had much responsibility in the Heavens. His main focus was protecting it from all incursions of hostile intent. Monsters fell time and time again to his blade, powerful spirits were banished with his lightning and all looked to him as Guardian. His own personal Angels, the Final Furies, were his stout warriors who helped him in his endeavors. They were a fanatical bunch, who listened to no one but Amos and held his teachings to heart.
Because of his responsibility, he neglected his siblings often but that did not mean he did not care. No, he told himself because of what he did, they were at least safe. When Humanity was created he did not care about them as much as the others did. In fact, he was pleasantly surprised that his duty became easier as more focus was put on Earth. Not many creatures of Chaos attacked the Heaven's now that there was easier prey. Rarely did he mettle in the affairs of mortals either, he always felt if he left Heaven then a calamity would surely strike.
History (Post-Earth bound): He attacked Heaven’s gates for what seemed like a century with no avail, not even a dent was put on those impregnable walls. The worst thing imaginable had happened to Amos and that was being locked out of his own home, powerless to stop anything from happening to it. He was lost in his rage for even longer as he could not grasp the concept of why? Why would someone keep them out of their home? During this time he wondered Earth, occasionally mingling in human wars, killing droves of them before leaving again. Eventually, Amos realized his powers were abandoning him and he had to move on begrudgingly.
For for the rest of his cursed existence he wandered the lands, never staying in one place for too long. One of his favorite past times was participating in the many wars that the humans waged with one another. Even without his Godly powers, he was never outmatched when sword fighting and he greatly enjoyed this time spent in Europe, seeing civilizations rise and fall through the sword. He was forced to watch time progress, humans get old and then die, and centuries pass. Where one minute swords were the only weapons used, it quickly turned to guns, then larger and larger weapons. It seemed the humans had an inflated ego when it came to weapons and the biggest one won. Now a days, he can be found in North America, wandering about as usual.
Other Gods
Desious- "I hate him for what he did to me. Trapping me on this planet, obstructing my purpose, stealing my powers and everything else, for what? I shall beat him when I find him, and no one will stop me from seeking justice for the crimes he has committed."
Fiala- "Fiala Goddess of luck right? I can really only remember her being a Goddess of trickery, always with the pranks. Once the humans arrived, I haven't seen her since."
Hiraga- "Hiraga is a kindred spirit. While are other siblings had their tasks, none have been greater then hers and mine. She is the planet or so they say. It must pain her greatly to see what the humans have done to it- to her. She has my sympathy for being powerless, when you are needed at full strength."
Goehearth- "I have never liked him. Chaotic nature sours my mood, but I've never had a problem teaching him a lesson or two about Valor. I've always been a fan of putting entropy in its place."
Brod- "Brod? Wasn't he a creation deity or so they say? Had a kid with Hiraga right?"
Stjerne- "Here is another who shared a greater responsibility in the Heaven's. The stars were his domain and beautiful they are but his fascination with humans has always seemed a little peculiar to me. Why would someone so far above care about something so far below?"
Zencrux- "After the fall Zencrux followed me for awhile, learning what he could while we were depowered. I admire his tenacity as a warrior, but he wasn't that good. He always preferred brute strength, a weakness in its own."
Cyl'Nyarlith- "Cyl. He or she, I could never tell honestly, has always seemed apart from the rest of us. Perhaps being the last born changed something inside of them, or perhaps it is what my parents wanted all along. I do not know, we never really talked much then the humans came and they vanished."
Huseror- "He's just a bad memory of a forgotten time. It was written that my parents cast him out of the physical realm and he has been locked away, just like us in a way. I don't really think he will ever prove to be a threat again."
Vetra- "Ahh Vetra, the know it all Goddess. I was never fond of her, she always thought of us boring and followed Goehearth around on the notion that anarchy wasn't boring, but exciting. She is a great fool."
Regales-
Eyeris- "The messenger Goddess my parents created? She did her job well throughout the years, always so punctual and behaved. I always admired her ability to do her task with no fuss."
Demigods
Hiyori Kozlovsky- No opinion yet.
Keyla Harms- No opinion.
Jericho & Nemeria- "Twins of Anarchy. I pity them for having Goehearth as a father, he is not even worthy of caring for a dog."
You Fell. So long ago. For a crime you may or may not have committed.. How sad. The Human's Earth was yours once, or was it? I can't really remember. You were a God once, but steadily weren't. Living among them has probably changed you. For better or for worse. If it hasn't, he'll be disappointed. But I won't care. I shouldn't be doing this, but it'll be oh so fun! Come now ye Gods, welcome your old friends! What was lost is now given back anew! Your powers return! And so do you!
Premise
Hello and welcome to Godfall! A world full of possibilities. Be a God, Demigod or even a human, there's plenty of room!
If you haven't read the full lore(which I encourage), I will summarize whats going on. You were a God once, with an aspect instilled into you upon your creation. You lived in the Heavens for Eons, or maybe even the Earth and everything was in balance until the Sun and Moon created Humanity, then went to sleep. Some Gods abused these new found creatures, maybe even ate them and this chaos resulted in an unbalance of the mundane world(Earth), and as a result, Death wasn't happy, so like an angry parent he grounded the gods on Earth and locked Heaven up.
Eventually all of their powers left them and they were forced to live a cursed life. You could never die by humans means, and if you somehow did get into a serious accident, you always woke up perfectly fine. Now in the present time, a spirit decided to play a prank on death and turned the key halfway, allowing the gods powers to come back. Now, through word of ear, everyone knows about the spirit and you are in a race to find him, or Death. Maybe to get some answers or revenge? Only you know.
The Primordial Law
1. There are three main dimensions: The Heavens, The Earth and The Underworld.
2. All gods have three powers of their own, plus a weapon of some kind that can be stolen and used by other Gods/Demi-Gods.
3. The rulers of the Heavens were the Sun, Solaria and Moon, Lunus. They had several children with one another and those children would go on to be greater deities in their own right.
4. Demigods were created between a union of man and god. Once the God's power dwindled to nothing they became normal humans, but now if a such a Union happened currently, demigods will have powers of their own. Demigods only get two powers to call their own, however every single one has enhanced reflexes, strengths, and stamina.
5. All manner of creatures existed at one point another and with the Gods return, maybe even they will?
6. On the death of gods- Yes, gods can die, but it is by no means easy. Gods are powerful entities who basically exist to uphold an aspect of creation. By killing a god you're basically killing the aspect that they uphold and leaving what remains of said aspect, broken. It'll still work but it won't be upheld to the fullest. For example, lets say The God of War and the God of Peace got into a battle. The God of War overwhelms Peace, and kills him. Peace gets sent to place that not even the Gods know and War is the victor. Ever since Peace died, the Human's world has been at war on and off with only small time periods of relative peace. It doesn't have to be a full scale war to suffice either, even a small border skirmish counts.
7. It has been said that humans can obtain demigodhood, but such a process has not been seen in centuries.
How It all came to be
Long before humans crept into the light of the sun, or slept in the shadow of the moon, above the Earth sat the Heavens. It was a myriad of regions, realms, and kingdoms that expanded as far as the divine eye willed. Each God and Goddess had an aspect that they held dominion over, given at the moment of their creation and tasked with interpreting until the end of all things. The Sun and Moon ruled the Heaven's from their thrones far above, and from this union came children, the greater aspects of the Heavens. For untold time, the denizens of this place lived in relative balance with one another, upholding the primordial laws and keeping any conflict with one another, isolated. Then one day, everything changed.
You see, during the time before humans, the Earth was a place full of potential. Nature Deities had worked wonders in many ways, changing the landscape to fit the needs of the fauna but it was, as many Gods put, mundane. The Sun and Moon's greatest creation yet, was overshadowed by the Heaven's boundless energy. Centuries of habitation by the Gods had leaked their divine essences into the very foundations, and there was no need to go to Earth. That was until humanity arrived. The Sun and Moon were enamored with Earth, and not wanting to waste such a home, the created humanity. They realized the one great mistake of the gods, they were bound to their aspects and lived forever to uphold them. So they gave humans a bit of the dark, and a bit of the light with no restraints but one. They lived a natural existence, a mortal one like the world they now lived in. This effort, almost killed them, so they withdrew into a hibernation, one in which they still remain. With the Sun and Moon gone, and humanity living, growing, and dying, it attracted the attention of the Gods.
Many did not care about them, many were infatuated with them, and many hated them. For the next several centuries, humanity would live in a world of chaos, something that the Sun and Moon could not have anticipated. Most Gods treated humanity as toys. Most were enslaved for a variety of reasons, or just outright eaten. They multiplied so quickly that there always seemed to be an endless supply. But this chaos was destroying the balance of the mundane world, and worse, it upset Death. Unbeknownst to the Gods, Death had fallen in Love with Humanity for reasons they could not comprehend. So he wrought a lock made of the bones of innocents, and placed it on the Gates of the Heavens. In an instant, the Gods were cast out. There was confusion, infighting and suffering and for years most looked for Death himself but he could never be found. As time when on for the Gods, their powers began to dwindle slowly. From school books, the past can tell us what some of them did throughout history. Forming pantheons, religions, great epics and powerful names come to mind, before their power became nothing and they were given a cursed life. They could not die by humans means, and lived eternally, one of the only lasting effects of Godhood. But not all hope was lost for them.
The year is now 2018, and the Gods are myths, but they still walk among humanity doing who knows what. However, something was about to happen that would change the course of the world forever. A mischievous spirit named Hollow thought to pull a prank on Death himself, so he nicked the key to the Heavens, leaving a rather funny note in its place. Hallow traveled to the Heaven's gate full of laughter, and turned the lock halfway. Death became instantly aware of the theft at that moment, for energy from Heaven began to flow outwards once again, flooding to the ones it had not seen in ages, the Gods. Now Hollow could not contain his excitement and began telling spirits of all varieties of his prank on death. Word quickly spread, and the race was on to find the key, or Death or anything for that matter. The world would change, and all because a spirit wanted to play a prank.
The Rules
1. Most important out of all of them: Have fun! Regardless if you are in IC or OOC, respect each other and be sure to have fun. 2. Ask Questions if you have them! 3. Seeing as this is within the casual section please do post at least a somewhat decent paragraph with spelling and grammar that is appropriate for a casual RP. 4. If at any time you are going to be inactive for more than three days please do give everyone a heads up so that no one ends up stuck. 5. This RP is open to suggestions so if there are any please do come and talk about it with the GMs before going on with it. 6. This one is an obvious one, but no godmodding, power playing or meta gaming. No one likes it, so don't do it. 7. This is a mature RP, now this does not mean sex everywhere, it means there will be swearing and some mild violence, please keep it civil and do not try to traumatize another person through descriptively gory violence. 8. Last but not least respect the words of the GM and Co-GM.
