Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Righto, Person. Either way you know what you heard.
Neat. So here's the results.

@rush99999

Angus with his nat 20 can definitely hear the trogs outside trying to either set an ambush or get inside, however for whatever reason they seem to leave en masses suddenly during your watch. You're not entirely sure why, but you heard scraping of metal-against-wood, like someone unsheathing a sword. It's very brief however, and between the trogs scurrying about and the leftover rain water dripping against the stone it would be easy to miss. Being a warrior-like person, you can tell from the sound alone that this is a big sword. Greatsword sized at least. And for the trogs to run instead of fight against someone like that, even when they outnumber him vastly as you know they do, must mean whatever this person or creature is, it's not one that can be defeated with numbers alone. However you can't be too certain if it left or not by the time your watch is over. It never made a sound coming nor leaving, and you haven't heard anything similar to the unsheathing since.

@Riaxh

Raugar doesn't notice anything that Angus doesn't inform him about. Nothing really goes on within the temple itself aside from the flames from the fire place wavering. You know it won't last to morning without more wood at least. The Wraith never shows up even if you try to look for them.
Cool, if you are going to do anything during your watch go ahead and post it. Or you can wait until Raugar rolls so I can tell you both what you might notice on your respective watches.
Since you're both actively trying to stand watch, both of you roll me a Perception Check.
And so Orchid kept running. Torch held aloft, making her easy to spot. Try to draw the attention of the enemy. Or possibly friends. It was hard to tell who was who here but she knew one thing for certain, she can't stay. Rattleskull has no brains for any sort of commanding and she wasn't interested in joining a new gang of brigands to take over the cave. True, she needed friends, but not like this. There was a better way they could have gone about this but everyone was so gung ho that no one was going to talk until the bodies piled up. Orchid couldn't say she's innocent; she got swept up by the madness too. But all the more reason she needed to get away from here and figure things out in relative peace.

With any luck, Orchid would find that lizard before the slime catches up. Even if he did, Orchid would rather face him somewhere she knew well, than where the rest of his buddies were. And if he left her alone so be it; she'll be back later. She did wonder what would happen to the other goblins but she had a lot of mixed feelings for them; she stuck with them because she thought they could help her, but they were all just a bunch of tools. Tools to her and tools to Rattleskull. None of them questioned, none of them really thought for themselves. Sure they aren't mindless, but they're ignorant. Instead of trying to take over the Bonfire immediately, they go after literally everything else in the cave so they'd have to fight everything without having a base to run back to. Orchid was no military mastermind, but even she knew how stupid an idea this was. Rattleskull might've thought they weren't unified enough to fight back, but the fact they were was why the goblins got pushed out in the first place. The fact he couldn't realize that hammered in the point that he was all brawn and no brains.

Soon Orchid would see the large growing crystal she had rested near the night before. She didn't know who else was here but she slowed down, high alert. She called out to anyone who could hear her. "Hello? Lizard lady? It's me, the goblin from yesterday! I never did get your name. But I need to speak to you!" She called out, hoping her voice would be recognized.

Looking at the other two, Goro tried to get a feel for them. This Nkosi's fellow seemed like a rough sort, reminded him of his old captain who taught Goro seafaring. Had a certain air of intimidation but control about him, like a steady ship in a tempest. Still, he also seemed the type to serve his own interests rather than the group, something that Goro didn't like. That sort of mentality is why he left Ulayh in the first place. Plus some other things he disagreed with. "I expect danger, I ain't worried bout dat. But only a git calls dere ignorance bravery, mate. I don't know wot's at Bel'kin, an knowing wot is can help us prepare accordingly. No sense in goin bushwhacking wif only half a sack. In order words, be prepared." Goro learned the hard way of what it was like to go on an adventure unprepared. Indeed the journey here had been quite a struggle because of poor preparation, and that didn't even involve any dangers with brigands or beasts. The trip had been peaceful, but the lack of food, not knowing local medicines or poisonous plants or even where to find shelter in rough weather had did a number on Goro more than any blade or fang has.

As for the other, Goro had his suspicion. Granted, they were racist suspicions. Something about her from her long dark hair, pale stone-like skin, and general sophisticated demeanor made the orc think she was a witch of some sort. His mother would tell him bedtime tales as a child of women with such duality of beauty hiding ugliness, luring young foolish men to their dooms with their sweet faces and kind words. Of course Goro had grown out of such fears, but he would be lying if they didn't make a sudden resurgence looking at this girl. He had to keep himself in check however; last thing he wanted to do was make an enemy of her, witch or not. It was just good business. Otherwise she seemed respectful enough. She enjoyed the fruit and spoke well towards Winter. A bit too much for Goro's taste; it reminded him a lot of the toadies back at home. But at least Winter likely earns that respect.

What did catch Goro off guard was how emotional she got eating the pineapple. He knew it was good but damn, to drive a woman to tears? "Ah. Good ta know. Nice ta meet ya, Lady uh... Lady Liliana." Her following declaration of acceptance towards Winter made Goro really wonder if this lady was off her kilter or not, but then again maybe this was normal where she came from. Goro's people were much more brusque and boisterous when they weren't kissing up to their superiors, so this sort of flamboyance was simply unfamiliar to him. He tried not to think about it too much; as long as Liliana did her part Goro wouldn't mind how she acts. He finishes the rest of his coffee and puts his tome inside of his bag, tightening the straps around his hook hand and moving his club from his backpack to his belt for easy reach. When Liliana was done talking to Winter she turned to Goro and Nkosi, mentioning her inexperience but eagerness for fighting. This got a chuckle from Goro.

"Let's not go lookin fer enemies now. Last thing we need is fer people lookin into magic like us get a rep fer violence and such. Now I don't mind fighting if I gotta, and I ain't not stranger to war, but dat don't mean every confrontation's gotta end in blood and guts. Remember dat Lady Winter is sendin us ta research da magic stuff goin on in Bel'kin, not slaying monsters or taking out a rival gang of lads."
Livia

The drow man didn’t seem to react to Livia sitting at his table, focused solely on his drink. When she asked him about Nemuno he thought about it for a moment before finishing his bottle. ”Vaguely. I know she delivers food for Underhaven. Mostly meats. I’m a vegetarian so I’ve never dealt with her personally. I stay out of her way, she stays out of mines.” He seemed to be finished and leaves to go get another bottle of booze for himself. The kobold takes his empty bottle to dispose of while the front door opened. It was that monstrous blond girl, though no longer floating in the air. She didn’t seem to notice Livia or Katherine as she went to sit at the bar with a book and read from it. She looks almost… Normal.

Ethan

Ethan’s escort nodded his head. ”Something like that. It’s the storehouse. It’s where we put all of our grains and goods for harvest before shipping it back to town. Someone there might be willing to sell goods too.” The man narrowed his eyes at Ethan, tightening the grip on his axe. ”But today it’s closed, due to the bandits. No one goes in or out. If you want anything you’ll have to talk to the chief.” Ethan wouldn’t need to ask where the chief, soon a group of men approached him. From the center of the crowd was a rather young man, only a little bit older than Ethan, but with a somewhat more sophisticated air.

”Hello. First, I apologize if the men have been treating you roughly. As you might have noticed we’ve had a bit of a bandit problem and everyone is on edge. I understand that you have some business with our village? I’ll do what I can to help you along so you may leave. I’d hate for you to get caught in our troubles.”

Antaeus

Antaeus’ pick dug into the stag’s hide, blood spilling forth from its wound as he ripped a hole clean into its side. And yes the beast still here want done yet. Blinded and pinned to the ground, it wasn’t going to let itself be taken out like some young buck. As the silver haired girl was about to try and slam the stag again, a hoof was planted against her chest and she was thrown ten feet away through the air, slamming into a tree and falling to the ground. The struggles back o to his feet and let out a blood curdling roar, showing that even as bloodied and beaten as he was, he wasn’t about to go down just yet. The stag faced Antaeus’s general direction, still unable to see him but knowing that he is nearby. The wounds on the stag was starting to weigh him down, and it was very possible he could be defeated. But the girl had taken a rather solid blow and was in the process of bleeding out, and was entirely unconscious as well.

What would our hero do? Shall he slay, or save?

Katherine

As Katherine was taking a breather the strange looking tiefling from the other group approached her. He had a certain swagger about him that made him seem confident yet casual. Like he was walking up to an old friend instead of a complete stranger. [Well howdy, Angel. I hear you’re looking for Lucilia, just like my group is. Since we're all waiting, why not join us and have a chat? May as well use our time wisely. My boss is especially interested in you.] If Katherine turned to look, she could see the blond blue-eye bombshell looking right at her, giving her a little wave and a smile. Next to her was the pinkette gnome tinkering with a helmet and mask. The snake man was filling up vials with his own venom.

[If there’s anything you’d like to drink, I’ll see about getting I for you as well. Least I could do for a friend.] He said with a wide, demonic grin. Without any eyes, lips, or anything on his face aside from his teeth, all he could do was smile and smile wider.

@Pyromania99

”Hmph. You guys really are…” Mamoru closed her eyes and had to think really hard for what a good prank would be. It can’t be anything too childish, but simple was what Mamoru did best. She tried to think of something, anything, that might work with everyone’s. She had on solid idea and it was about as solid as a straw hit. ”Alright so… If we have to prank Amane or something, I have one kinda good idea. It’ll need JoToru’s healing powers to work, and you two doing your wire thing. So like… I don’t know if Amane knows me, he probably doesn’t, but I’m sure he knows I punched him in his black hole. So I bet he thinks I’m like, crazy or something. So JoToru, You should go find him and say that I want to challenge him to a rematch or something. Then you lead him through the school and towards the cafeteria, but make sure you go to where that pillar thingy in the middle of the hall is.”

They might know what Mamoru was talking about. There was a roundabout area near the cafeteria with a pillar at the center of the room. Flyers and posters were often attached to it. It was only about five feet in diameter but because it was so close to the cafeteria it was a hotspot for school advertisement. Plus it was a huge hall too, perfect for gatherings. Or a big prank.

”So like, Lysandyo and Psycho-Seiko should do a pretend challenge or something nearby. Maybe like, make weavings or something with your wire quirks. Basically make a net and try to not look suspicious. When JoToru brings Amane nearby you guys ‘accidentally’ let your nets fly out and trap Amane. And if JoToru gets caught, he can just slice himself out or something. And then I’ll kick Amane in the nuts.”

”Mmm.” Donny said quietly as he continued to wander off. He began to wonder if he’d ever find Yukari’s room when he actually stumbled across it. He noticed a couple of others here but he wasn’t too familiar with everyone. Certainly not while he was still dazed from his injections. He knocked on the wall to make his presence known. ”Yozakura-San… Are you okay? I’m okay. It’s fine now. Are you feeling alright?” He says as he takes a seat nearby.

By the time Mina arrived Donny was starting to sober up. His form looked more solid as he formed his skeleton, though he was still tired and hungry. His speech seemed somewhat more stable as well. ”Kasuke-San. How did you find out about the a-a-attacks?”
With everyone settling in, they would have no disturbances as they waited out the storm. Roughly six hours would pass before the storm would finally let up, but it was now nighttime. The grounds outside was wet with only the moonlight illuminating anything that wasn’t hidden in the ruins. And even then, it seemed like the slightest bit of cover created an absolute darkness capable of hiding all sorts of monster.

The party can choose to wait until morning to travel forth again, or proceed onwards into the night. They have effectively gained all the benefits of a long rest, they they won’t gain anything further if they continue to wait until morning. Angus’ fire would still be going fairly strong by the time the storm lifts, though it won’t last entirely throughout the night. More wood would be needed to keep the flame lit.
