Current To those I RP with, I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth, just had a mental health crash but am recovering. Now to catch up on posting.

The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Emeth: Then I'll be that friend who's the opposite kind of annoying, whispering "Do it, you know you want to..."

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

Emma

@Aurliena Nova @Argetlam350

"Thanks," Emma said, following Graeden, still out of breath. As soon as she saw Eun-mi, the words came out in a rush.

"Darthun... he needs you, he isn't well... I-I tried doing something, I cast a spell, Maia tried to teach me, it went wrong, I said it wrong... plants wouldn't stop growing, Darthun helped get me out, but..." Emma stopped babbling and took a deep breath. "He's outside, with Maia. I think he's just tired." She clung to the hope that it was nothing serious. She'd never imagined things could go sour this quickly.

She turned to head out again, waiting for Eun-mi to follow. Now, parts of this world seemed just as dangerous as they were fascinating. What had she expected, really? The rest of nature could be described that way, why would anything be different here?
@Laach @Heckno12 Yeah, it'd be in character for him to decide the journey's too much work and give up on it.

@OtomostheCrazy The only positive result of that battle is everyone should still level up. You're closer to having your Hoppip be able to attack.
@Aspen Wren Sorry to hear about your dog. :(

@FallenTrinity I should have something up either today or tomorrow, sorry for the delay. Hopefully later. I'm co-GMing a roleplay, and real life stuff has been pretty busy.
@Iatos Squee! ^_^ Yep, kittens always help.
@Iatos Yeah. This is so intense, I was actually shaking slightly as I wrote that last post.
@Iatos Maybe we should wait for some of the others to post. I kind of want to see how Rheese reacts, and if this is the point that Alexis wakes up...

I'd planned for Sophia to have a breakdown at some point, but not this early. I'm intending to write her as still fairly arrogant for a good while, and being prideful is probably always more or less going to be a part of her, but she's going to be much more cautious about battles. The cracks in her facade are also going to be more obvious. This is the start of her character development.
@Heckno12 Wow. This has taken a massive turn for the darker. It's only Day 2 and someone's already had a panic attack. I'm especially glad I brought in Amber now. We need some more light-hearted scenes.

@Iatos, Kero just completely and utterly terrified a psychic. That wasn't a good idea. And she may or may not have accidentally picked up something from him, something about his darker side... She doesn't know for sure, though. The fearing for her life thing may have just been her own terror at the whole situation, and her abilities aren't exactly reliable right now.
Sophia Danvers

On the way to Pokemart

@Iatos @OtomostheCrazy @Heckno12 @AbysmalDemon @Kalek Nord

Sheer, blind panic took over Sophia as, without warning, Kero grabbed her shoulders hard enough to bruise and yelled in her face. This was a completely different side to him, nothing like the calm and collected, if annoying man she'd met earlier. For just a second, as she looked into his eyes... It may have just been one of the terrified, irrational thoughts racing through her head, but for that moment, she feared for her life.

Her legs nearly gave way under her as he let go, taking her Pokemon as well as the other girl's, and left for the Pokecentre. Her breath came in gasps. It was as if something was squeezing her ribs. Her surroundings blurred, dots of light dancing in front of her eyes as all sounds became distant except for her thudding heartbeat. She tried to force more air into her lungs, but she couldn't shake the grip that the cold, sick feeling had over her entire body. All she could do was tremble violently. Kero was right. Maybe she didn't deserve to be a trainer. What had she just done? What had she let happen?

A boarded-up shop window cracked. No, no, she inwardly screamed at herself. The crack grew, the board inside splintering. "S-Stay away from me!" she shouted at the group, half-running, half-staggering a safe distance from them before slumping to her hands and knees, still hyperventilating. A street lamp shattered, showering glass onto the path.

No, she couldn't let this happen, she'd done enough damage... She struggled to slow her breathing. Finally, the gasps evened out. Her tense muscles slackened. Weakly raising her head, she looked around her.

Thankfully, nobody else was hurt. She tried to stand up, but flopped back down like a broken doll. The panic attack seemed to have consumed all her strength, and had given way to a numb sense of disbelief. Her psychic powers very, very rarely went out of control... This had been one screw-up after another. A stuck record of some of the more hurtful things her mother had said to her repeated itself through her mind.

Even though the others were probably too far away to hear, and the girl was still unconscious, she muttered something. It was something she barely ever said, except to family members. "I'm sorry..." She felt tears sting her eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."

Meanwhile, Staryu, the only one of Sophia's Pokemon who hadn't been taken, spun over to the passed-out girl and attempted to wake her with a gentle splash of cold water.
@fer1323 If you're saying you're going to get Shroomish, Ralts and Croagunk while you're on your way to Vareena, then that sounds reasonable, most other people will probably have full or nearly full teams by then. Not sure if there's going to be a Moss Rock around this early on though.
@Heckno12 Yeesh, Rheese wanted to see a battle... What's he going to make of the whole mess?
