The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

@Aspen Wren I lost a dog to cancer earlier this year, so if you want to talk about it, you can PM me.

@Aurliena Nova I should have a post up either later today or tomorrow.

@FallenTrinity

Looking up at Sulleykaar from her slumped position, Lainie listened to his answer. Fear was the most dangerous thing? Wasn't recklessness far more dangerous? Surely some level of caution was sensible, especially for someone like her. One slip, and she could lose herself. She could hurt somebody, or worse.

"B-But I... this magic, you saw what I let it do to me... I-I've got to be careful," she answered, and instantly glanced down, regretting how she'd answered back.

Something, though, seemed to be whispering to her. Her other side, telling her Sulleykaar did have a point. Why had she lost control earlier, right after the nightmare? Why had she had the nightmare in the first place? Fear. She'd been afraid of herself, this side of herself... but how was it possible to overcome fear when there was a good reason for it?

There had to be some middle ground. She didn't want to be that person, the careless, volatile, destructive person the magic turned her into, but she didn't want to be the way she was now, either. If only she could be somewhere between the two extremes.

Struggling to her feet, she looked at the red mark on her arm. Not too severe, but painful. "I'll have to go to the nurse," she said. She'd have a lot of explaining to do.
♪♫♪ Cecilia "Cici" Taylor ♪♫♪

Location: Central City

The meadow was peaceful, the only sounds the gentle rustling of wind in leaves, the trickling of the stream, the calls of Pokemon, and a soft melody carrying through the air. On a rock by the water sat a young woman, strumming a slow-paced yet bright rhythm on her guitar.

It wasn't any song in particular. Cici did this when she was thinking - improvising music helped her to plan, and right now, she had a lot to consider. What Pokemon to catch, where to go next, what her long-term goals as a trainer would be. So many options... The rhythm picked up, reflecting her growing excitement at the adventure that awaited her.

A squeaking noise at her feet pulled her from her thoughts. Looking down, she saw a Whismur bobbing to the song, as if dancing. She let out a laugh. "Hello, there," she said, switching to an even more energetic tempo. The Whismur started bouncing around. Cici's smile widened. Rather than just observing Pokemon, she couldn't wait to actually start befriending and training them.
@Balthazar007 Missions? Sounds good! I'll try to make my first IC post today.
@Aspen Wren @FallenTrinity Argh! I was unexpectedly busy yesterday and couldn't post, sorry about that. I'll have plenty of time to reply today though.
@Heckno12 @Iatos Yeah, Team Rocket's plans aren't the smartest. I do like the whole Pokemon hunter thing you're going with Iatos, though (as long as you don't let things escalate too quickly), do the other hunters he works with have some kind of tech that lets them control stolen Pokemon or something?

Also, I seem to recall Team Plasma successfully stealing and controlling somebody's Pokemon in Black and White, how did that happen again?
@OtomostheCrazy @AbysmalDemon Sophia's going to regret that snarky comment she made to Alex about Beldum the previous day.
@Heckno12 @OtomostheCrazy @Iatos Whose turn is it to post?

@AbysmalDemon Did Alex see that? This is Wooper and Beldum all over again, only it wasn't even supposed to be a battle in this case...
@Iatos Please make sure Kero actually returns the Pokemon, Heckno12 and I kind of want to move things along fairly soon.
That turned dark.
