The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Emeth: Then I'll be that friend who's the opposite kind of annoying, whispering "Do it, you know you want to..."

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio
A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.
I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.
Running after Vivian and Leisy, Ella came to an abrupt halt and gasped at the sight of the garden. She knew this place well. Growing up, she'd often stay here when things became particularly difficult at home. Now, the plants that had always been so well tended to littered the lawn, uprooted and crushed.
"How could anyone do this?" Her voice trembled as she stared at the mess. She spun round to face Vivian's parents. They were both in a terrible state, Viv's mother in tears, and her father badly injured. "Are you going to be alright?" she asked Viv's father, wincing at the sight of the gashes. "Who did this?"
She put her hand on Viv's shoulder. "Hey. It'll be ok," she tried to reassure her friend. "We'll find them."
Great, now the slacker girl was preaching at her too. Sophia huffed. "It's Sophia. And yeah, I know about Sabrina. She's pretty well-known in Unova." In recent years, the Kanto gym leader had made her mark on Unova due to her roles in a few movies. As much as Sophia admired and respected powerful psychics, though, she couldn't deny that the slacker had a point. "I-Ive got to get stronger, though," she said. She knew Nyxx was talking about finding a balance rather than contradicting Oscar, but still, she had to make sure people knew where she was coming from. "I have to be who certain people want me to be."
Leaning back in exhaustion, she looked at Oscar again. After what had happened, after what Lan had told them, they couldn't just continue as if nothing had happened. "Count me in," she said. "And..." She gave a small smile, her tone much, much gentler. "You don't have to be sorry. I don't blame you."
In a flash of light, Gothita reappeared, climbing onto Sophia's lap. The mud didn't seem to bother her, at least not as much as seeing Sophia and Oscar so distressed. "Hey. Sorry about the mud," Sophia said, every trace of harshness melting away. "And we're going to be ok."
Were things going to be ok, though? This adventure was already turning out nothing like she'd expected.
Amber Pine
In the ambulance
Amber felt the corners of her mouth crease with concern. "Just going to say, be careful, both of you." It went without saying. Considering their stories, their reasons were perfectly understandable, but they were planning to go up against the team that had nearly obliterated the entire group with just one Pokemon attack.
In no way was this something that could be ignored, though. Especially after that maniac's threat. And they all did have to become capable of at least defending themselves.
"Although..." Her face was solemn as she looked from Oscar to Sophia. "You have my support."
@AbysmalDemon Hey, I noticed you've come back :) Feel free to bring Alex back in, if you want. We could give you a summary of everything that's happened so far.
