Just to let everyone know, I'll be taking part in a craft fair this weekend so might not be able to post, but will squeeze in a reply if I can.

@OtomostheCrazy Even with just Maractus, he'd be better prepared than Sophia... You might want at least one other Pokemon though.

@OtomostheCrazy The fire weakness is the worst because it's a sun team, so if Sunny Day is active, I have to wait until it wears off before I send out Whimsicott. It could be used against her all too easily.

Oddly enough, she can usually counter Bug and Flying types with her stat-boosting and status moves.

@Heckno12 I was just wondering how she could fit a sun team better... Oh well, she's one of the strongest Pokemon in this team anyway, it's just the Fire weakness that's a problem.

@Heckno12 Yeah, Stone Edge would've wrecked my team. Though the sun team's doing better now I've added Torkoal, and made some other adjustments.

It's a shame Whimsicott can't learn Synthesis. She could have Chlorophyll as an ability, but Prankster is more useful for her, so Sunny Day doesn't help her at all, it just makes things tougher for her. She fits thematically, Sun Stone and all, but still... I had to give her an Occa berry to offset the Fire weakness.

I'm wondering whether to give her Solar Beam, but she kind of needs her other moves.
