Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Joshua and Life are the only two who've responded to me.
Crimson Flame hasn't been on in quite some time, 21 days in fact so I am now NPCify-ing Timothy Wolfe for use as anyone's character.
Malboro, Hero turned Highwayman

When Dylan and Syrena entered the top of the guard tower, they found the bandit leader waiting. The man looked suddenly older than he had when he'd been at the bottom; he bore the sagging visage of a man who knew he was about to die. However, his black eyes glittered fiercely, and they held no trace of mercy in them. When cornered, a beast would fight to its final breath.

He upturned his sword and jammed it into the wooden floor before removing his axe, evidently knowing enough about weapons to prefer a hatchet against a lance-user. This iron weapon he leveled at the pair, and spoke in a strange, toneless voice, “I knew death would come for me sooner or later. But if you think I'm going to let you take me easy, you're wrong—dead wrong. I'll show you how a former Hero fights.”

Snarling, he rushed at Syrena, swinging his axe in from the side. With a weapon advantage over Dylan, it seemed, he wanted to eliminate the potential problem first.

Sanguin, Westroad Village

After an exchange of blows, the masked woman had the advantage. Her adversary, obviously intimidated not only by her opponent but by the whole situation itself, was unable to properly leverage the advantage given to her by her weapon. As she stumbled back after delivering a glancing blow, Sanguin charged forward. A surge of adrenaline pumped through her veins, and she yelled, “You're out of time!” The myrmidon leaped into the air and with her scimitar cleaved through her opponent's shoulder, finishing her in one shot.

She hadn't time to celebrate her victory, however. Sanguin felt a hard jab in her hip, and a moment later after she'd recoiled, the familiar trickle of blood across her skin. She whirled to face the soldier who'd attacked her and backed up out of the reach of his spear, nearly backing into Thunderclap as she did. A glance at the cavalier astride her convinced her that his help for the moment would be appreciated given her diminished vitality. “Yakob! Help me a second?”
Damnit you mean I could've used those hours to do my homework instead of trying to get things down and then procrastinating?

Er, I suppose, but even if we were doing the early deadline you would have had another week.
After some consideration, I'm going to let the 31st deadline for the contest stand.
I don't know if any of my recent activities with Invidia warrant khookies.
Invidia, the Liaison

Truly, it seemed that at every opportunity, Vestec could not help but burst out giggling like a human child. Did he truly find everything so amusing, Invidia wondered, or could he think of no other physical action to inject into his blathering? The outsider held its hands behind its back, as if it were attending a sermon. “Fear is a phenomenon my kind do not share. We were not given the capacity, and we are the stronger for it. All I have is observation and probability, and it is upon those that I rely. I am simply more careful around mortals because I have the power to react against them and influence them, which I do not have against the High Ones. For your ilk, the only say I have is whether or not I submit to yours. The other High Ones may not fear you, but more than a few already despise you. Should you attempt something radical, it would take very little to rally them against you.”

For a moment, the outsider seemed incredulous. “Kill the communion? But the communion is overbearingly human. If your Anju will murder men as well as outsiders, then they're petty murderers, and not the poetic hunters you paint them as.” To his knowledge, Invidia knew little of the slaying of Communion monks. Well-armed, never alone, and extraordinarily tough for mortals kill due to their lifeblood consumption and constitution, they fell far less easily than lonely outsiders.

Upon hearing Vestec's offer, Invidia would have smirked, had it a face. “Your perception of my Communion seems rather obtuse, for a being gifted with magical knowledge. Through consumption of lifeblood, the monks have become different from normal humans. Huge, predatory, or disfigured...many possibilities. I will reveal myself to them, and none will bat an eye, for we are all monsters now. But you will have to worry me for a good deal longer, Execrable One, before I'm pliable enough to make a deal with the devil. I do not fear those with whom I am bonded by blood, but I will not humor your fetishes. The Anju and outsiders have reached a balance, evidently, one that I can live with. We do not need your meddling to continue taking six eyes for an eye.”
@Lugubrious So, do you have control over the bandit leader or can anyone control him? Because I am working on a post that will end up with Gaius fighting him.

I'll control him in this instance, but go ahead and move Gaius to fight him. Also, you're clear to develop the dancer whenever you wish.
