@Holy Grail - Hm, well, let me think about it... when you explain it that way, it doesn't seem so bad, but I want to decide if it both fits the lore and it's something I'm willing to take a risk on. ^^

Edit: Simpler for sure, yeah. Might have as many challenges socially as your language idea as well.

@Holy Grail - I don't feel like that's enough of a balance to justify just summoning things so big... the only drawback is that they can't talk normally? That's frustrating and inconvenient, but that's about it. Also, how would wizards make up a language like that? That's sort of far fetched, especially given the current magical language origins is largely unknown - only rumors exist. The concept makes sense though.

Character Summary

Having grown up in the Sheolan Empire as an orphan, she had been bullied and picked on her entire life, mostly because her peers were jealous. This lead her to pick up some unsavory skills. Her elders would often praise her for her unique gift however, a personality trait that very few shared, which that could only describe as an unusual and acute resolve. Having grown up on tales of fantasy and heroism, she often sought to grow up and become a knight, even entertaining the idea of going to Wresta in her teenage years. To this end, she trained day in and day out to be the best swordswoman she could be - fate however decided to deal her a heavy blow when Zeph came into power and one of those she loved was killed in the sweeping take over. Ever since, she has sought any means necessary to take the tyrant down so at the very least, her love's life was not taken in vain.

Personality: Sofia is uniquely gifted with the personality trait of absolute resolve in whatever task she is putting her mind to, which gives her somewhat famous fearlessness. While it becomes obvious when spending time with her that she often thinks her plans out, she is at times hellbent on completing her goal. Still, beneath the hardened surface of a soldier, she is a romantic at heart and has a kindness to her eyes, though as lonely as they seem. Maybe it's the combination of determination, confidence, and kindness that often draw people to her, despite that she keeps most people at arm's length.

• Swordsmanship (Master): In particular, she has mastered the art of her short sword and shield, though her training can be generally transferred to any bladed weapon. Taking advantage of her small stature and agility, she can be seen spinning, deflecting, and slicing as if guided by the wind itself.
• Stealth (Apprentice): From her younger years, she can still recall the basics of sneaking through dark alleyways and stepping quietly in a forest.
• Lockpicking (Apprentice): Only able to really get past average locks, she can still remember the basics and some higher techniques on how to get around the need for keys.
• Parkour (Expert): The art of acrobatics for the purposes of travel, she can fluidly move through her environments whether it is the cities of Sheolan or the forests of Otadica. To some extent, this can be applied to combat as well.
• Spirit Blade (Master): A unique magic given to her by her bracelet, she can produce various, unusual magical effects from her blades. While it requires a blade to use, the trade off is versitily and power.
• Gather Information (Journeyman): Through both her youth and her recent fight against the Empire, she has learned to gather information without raising suspicion. This mostly relates to playing off as just an average citizen and listening to talk, paying off informats, and using her slight stealth skill to glean pieces of a bigger picture.

Magic

A listing of favorite or unique spells, if any. If using the alternative magic, one spell must be replaced with the artifact that gives it. Maximum of four.

• The Sapphire Star: A silver, strangely simple looking bracelet that is nearly skin tight with a single, ghostly blue sapphie emedded into it. When it accepts a wearer, it practically fuses with said individual and grants them special magics that are activated by the use of a bladed weapon.
• Statis Sword: With a swing of the weapon, a ghostly blue ice seems to fly towards the intended target, cutting them in dozens of places. If the target is particularly unconditioned towards the cold, they find themselves moving noticably slower.
• Hallowed Bolt: Slicing in front of her causes the air around the target to electrify suddenly, temporarily making it difficult to speak and move as their system is jolted from within and without.
• Ruination: The swing of the blade causes a bright flash to surround the target, burning them with magical energy, making it by far the most damaging technique.

Childhood: Most of her childhood was a mix of being bullied and verbally abused with dashes of elder praising her unrelentless determination. She also spent a significant amount of time learning how to picklocks and sneak around. When she had to run away from trouble, she'd offer the city her graceful moves.
Adulthood: Falling for a woman named Ovelia who was killed in Zeph's rise to Emperor. Her absolute training in swordsmanship after this fact, making her go from a decent swordswoman to a master in her craft. She has also been recgonized several times by the rebllion leader, Corda.
Special Moments: Sneaking out to some ruins with Ovelia during a sunset, finding it the first time she fell in love. The moment she found the Sapphire Star amongest the same ruins, a year after Ovelia's death.
Current Events: They wish to take down Zeph and nothing more. She doesn't care to rule and only hopes the wish granted will make sure someone caring will take the throne.

@BubblegumQueen I'd say just explain her magic a bit more... like is it Verbal or Somatic (I'm assuming Somatic). Also telekinesis would be more alternative magic I'd say. Even reading thoughts, but since your version isn't very impacting.. I think it's fine being a 'normal' magic. =3 Actually... scratch that - I like the idea of dancers being to Somatic spells like bards are to Verbal spells... "special." ^^ So you don't need to change anything, just explain it's Somatic spells.
