Current It's actually kind of annoying how easily franchises like Lost Planet can be spun off into PvE TPSs like EDF and HD2.

Thank goodness! For a second there I thought they were about to release a new Star Fox game.

It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Why doesn't anyone come around here and IC-bait a Metal Slug RP? Sure they'll probably still bail like the rest, but at least the fans will enjoy that for a moment.

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

Alright, I finally bothered to reread the posts and realized that the bit between Kaz and Drake was actually taking place "across the city" away from Superman, Green Arrow, Nightwing and the Hoodie Man. (I have trouble keeping track of these guys) I believe Nightwing is on the scene with the appearance of Mr. Old Bat, so that's where the call to assemble is coming from. I edited my last post at the end accordingly.
Cecilia nodded simply as she listened to Aki. Cloud watching sounded appealing on its own. But the thought of shaping the clouds like they were another artistic medium really intrigued her. She trifled around with few strands of hair. There were plenty of good days, yet it felt difficult to pick and choose a single event as being the best. Still, simply saying she couldn't decide didn't feel right either. "Hmm... I'm not sure if I'd say it's the best memory I have," she admitted, pondering where to begin. "It happened while I was in middle school. I was new to the school and hadn't told anyone about my power at the time. I was trying to lay low for the first couple of weeks, not really trying to draw attention to myself. After classes, I always passed by this large oak tree and I would often see this one girl play around it. Her name was Rebekah and she was kind of a loner; the only time I ever saw her having fun was while she was playing by herself around that tree. Then one day, a group of boys were playing roughly with the tree, tearing pieces of it off and marking it, things like that. I just stood there watching them..." She sounded somber for a moment, evidently not very proud of herself. "But after they left, I noticed Rebekah go back to the tree. She looked sad, climbing the tree and... well it looked like she was comforting an old friend. She hugged it even talked to it. She was sweet like that..." Cecilia recalled fondly. "When I saw that, I finally worked up the courage to talk to her. It was the day we became good friends," she concluded, happy that she had the chance to share the story, all things considered.

"Hello Aki. It's nice to meet you too," Cecilia responded with a friendly smile, waving in his direction. She wasn't at all expecting such a "involving" demonstration of his power. That said, at least it wasn't overly forceful. "I'm Cecilia. Don't worry about being late. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine here," she continued, certain anyone with his kind of interests in the "great outdoors" will definitely like it here.
Varen

Even though he didn't mind joining people he had never met before on an incursion into <<Laughing Coffin>> territory, there wasn't a doubt in his mind that they weren't loitering around the tower for him - the shady looking guy that arrived after him sure, but not him. But rather than point it out, he thought it would be a hoot to play along. Even if they should turn on him, it should make for a funny anecdote to tell people later. Whereas most would recognize Akemi as the elegant leader of the <<Guardians of Hope>>, Varen hadn't a clue, not being one to bother following in-game politics and events not directly affecting him. As long as they stayed out of his way, he was good. Yet he could tell she was at least used to being an authority figure with the way she carried herself. Nothing of seemingly lasting importance stuck out to his besides that, it wasn't exceptionally likely he'd see any of these people again in any case.

"See any PKers, just go with the meta, STR at front, AGL at side, as you all know~~"
Noodles

"Yeah, yeah, of course I know all this stuff. I mean, who do you think you're talking to?" Varen said in a purposely unconvincing manner, more to pass the time than anything. "I've totally killed some of these guys before, like a lot of guys. All in self defense, of course. Am I right, buddy?" he joked as he turned to Enyo, winking profusely.

"But it's not like I'm some kind of sicko who enjoys killing. No, I have dreams that go way beyond fighting player killers and clearing floors. Me and my old lady are going to retire to the countryside and raise ourselves a farm," he would have gotten bored with his shtick if it wasn't for their arrival onto the grinding spot, hostile hogs appearing and livening things up. He readied his spear, the middle of the shaft resting under his right arm. "Oh yeah, we're gonna have cows, some tasty chickens and especially... pigs!" he continued as he sidestepped one of the creature's opening charge, his spear head slashing upward against its abdomen through a trail of red. His body moving in a counterclockwise motion, he repositioned to fiercely arc his spear upward again in a savage blow that ultimately saw the entity soaring a several feet into the air, its fragments dissipating into oblivion. Varen didn't waste any time in engaging another hog, running atop a seven foot long stone jutting out of the sand and intercepting his victim with a devastating strike, planting the weapon down through the monster's neck clear to the other side, despawn then following. "(Laughing) Anyone else getting hungry? I know I am," the spearman japed with the shaft resting squarely behind his neck, enjoying himself.

It was then that he witnessed the <<Laughing Coffin>> team incoming, to which he took a few determined steps forward, unequipped his spear and held his hands up in a similar fashion as he had before. "I surrender. Please spare me. I want to live," he declared loudly, trying to sound serious, but eventually failing, as the edges of mouth curved more and more until he gave up, erupting in a fit of less than appropriate laughter. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding, hehehe... Let's go murder some fools," he exclaimed rather flatly, despite him grinning widely as he rebrandished his weapon.

Searching for the other STR builds to move up front with her. "Everybody brace yourselves, <<Laughing Coffin>> inbound! Isamu, get ready to harass and ensure we can't be encircled! If any of you are also an AGL build, then get on the side. Your only goal needs to be keeping them off of us! Other STR builds, on me!" she commanded, the confidence in her voice showing that she had faced threats like this before and lived to tell the tail.

"Whatever you say, 'fearless leader'," Varen responded with a sense of mirth more than any hint of detectable sarcasm. He stood to her side and two steps back, spinning his tool about in a pointless flourish before gripping it with both hands, ready for a fight.
The enormous, tourist attracting Ferris wheel know as the London Eye had been rapidly spinning out of its operator's control since the beginning of the ordeal. Although many people had escaped, managing to exit their respective capsules when they passed by the passenger loading platform at the base, some remained, injured or otherwise unable to leave to safety. When Talos arrived on the scene, it seemed apparent to him, by the way two particular capsules would sway unnaturally from the center at the rightmost edges of its counterclockwise rotation only to repeat another revolution in the same manner, that the capsules themselves had come to life and were trying to break free from the wheel's rim. Of course, this was behavior only characteristic of the two, likely meaning they still had living individuals inside them - if the bus incident was anything to go by.

Talos approached the base platform, then standing a few feet away from the passing cars. He locked on to the first set of riders: a young girl with her father and another young man. He called the young man on his phone, texting him that he will forcibly enter the capsule and that they needed to take cover behind the bench in the middle of the space. They did so, just as their car made another pass, Talos crashing through the sliding doors, debris flying about the cabin, the severe crashing sound competing with their screams. As the capsules made another rotation, the android continued ripping and kicking away at the bits of door still clinging at the hull to make for a cleaner exit, turning to the bruised, frightened occupants and asking, "Out of the three of you, who is capable of using a parachute?"

In the end, nearing the apex of the rotation, it was the father who wore the emergency parachute, standing at the open exit, looking back at Talos sternly, apprehensive over the automaton's responsibility over any crazy stunt he himself would have to perform. The young man was suffering from a banged up shoulder while the daughter had a light concussion, forcing Talos to have to rescue them himself. Just a second before Talos would consider pushing him, the man jumped from the cabin, those watching at ground level gasping in shock before he pulled the ripcord, the deployment bag giving way to the parachute canopy, catching the wind and guiding him down steadily.

Now, with the young man in his arms and the daughter on his back, her legs under his arms and her good arm around his neck, Talos calculated when he would need to exit the capsule, leaping off onto the platform with quick precision, the police there to help them get to safety. The android looked back and caught the site of the last passenger: an elderly lady on a wheelchair, now struggling on the cabin's floor. The machinery around her capsule creaked, the framework warping under the pressure. Talos shot a line from his arm, making contact with a spoke near it. A split second in mid air, he fired again, reaching the edge of her car just as it broke free from the Eye, descending gently down into the Thames and skidding across the surface, broadside first.

Talos received the call to assemble while he forced his way inside the cabin, finding the senior citizen dazed and confused from the ordeal. Once the car reached land again, he forcefully opened the twin doorway, then lifting her over his shoulder, escaping the living prison and landing feet first on the pavement. Noticing a paramedic team standing in awe of the large capsule rolling helplessly over the street, Talos left the woman in their care, taking to the rooftops with a launch of his grapple. He arrived to overlook the old man emerge from the swarm of bats and face the League.
@Xiro Zean
Hey there. I couldn't have imagined that you'd reappear just after I gave up hope - very mind boggling. Still, it is good to see you again. All the same, neither the originator nor the GM has left any of us with anything to go on. There was nothing the rest of us could have done. Ultimately, I believe everyone would be happier on other projects, especially after a bout of family problems, eh?

Anyway, take care of yourself.
Welp guys, I guess this one's pretty much over. We had virtually no run whatsoever, but I like to think we made a difference this past month or so. May you all go on to make something special in RPs worthy of your talents.

Me? I really don't like the idea of making Lucia for nothing, so I'll probably repurpose him for some personal story later. project//Godslayer belongs to the originator, GM and Co-GMs, but Lucia belongs to me.

If I learned anything from this, it's that if I become the GM of anything, I'm definitely sharing everything with the Co-GMs. Additionally, I'll add a rule that, in case of me disappearing for a certain amount of time, the Co-GMs are to assume the lead and creative control of the project. Guess that's something.

Anyway, take care guys.
Waiting sounds fine to me. I'm just happy to be here.

Anyway, I've been working on my CS on and off. My experience in MMORPGs is pretty negligible and I think it shows. But here's what I got so far for @Jabber the originator.

All right some things.

1 - I'm trying to tackle the tinker class in a way acknowledging that they aren't "standard" if that makes sense. Unfortunately what came up was the concept of an early quest with a special item as a reward. These accessories aren't meant to be the only way to become a tinker. All tinkers don't even have to function this way. Suggestions?

2 - If the quest item idea works out, I'm willing to center the writing sample around it or something.
Cecilia was moderately unnerved when Valencia intercepted the ball via telekinesis. But said girl didn't seem openly dismayed afterwords as she read and answered the question, which though peculiar, was sort of a breath of fresh air in light of the probing or personal question it could have been instead. She knew it was illogical, but Cecilia still felt a little responsible for Valencia being called out by the twins. She sighed, looking up and finding that the flaming bird had mysteriously disappeared. Reasoning that there's no use in worrying about what she couldn't control, she contemplated the question, having not eaten jellybeans very often over the years, but remembering a standout when she had. "For me, I have to say watermelon. Especially during the summer," she said, smiling in her reminiscence.
@Vampy
Cecilia marveled at Ivy's feats of pyrokinesis, especially after realizing that she wasn't going to accidentally set anything that shouldn't be set on fire well... on fire. However, once the fiery manifestation left her hands, reshaped into a bird and flew around safely above everyone, Cecilia thought that it was still Ivy making it happen. So when she looked again at Valencia, she saw her peering at the flaming bird like everyone else. The young Curtis smiled; the mysterious girl didn't seem like such a loner now. Maybe the first step for the girl to feel comfortable and make friends here would be to participate. Cecilia gulped, but ultimately adopted a determined expression. The girl may very well dislike her for doing this, but that's a risk she'll just have to accept. "Hey um, Valencia?" she called out to her, a tad loudly to overcome the general sounds of astonishment from the other campers at the blazing spectacle. "It's your turn, alright?" she stated while motioning with the ball to visually convey that she'll be throwing it to her. Acting quickly before her nerves ran out, Cecilia lightly tossed the question covered ball to Valencia.
