It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. @LiegeLord "I think so too," she agreed as she noticed him moving away from her slightly. She meant what she said, even though she didn't want to rely on James so much that she'd be helpless without him. Still, she hoped James wouldn't think she was weird for telling him so. She wondered if now might not have really been the time to say it and that was why he gave her space. He didn't seem that put off however. At the time, she meant it in a more friendly end of the spectrum. But as she took a moment to think about it more, she smiled shyly towards the fire pit. She supposed there was more to it than that, more than she was ready to say currently. Right now though, she just hoped to not embarrass herself while canoeing. To that end, she considered that it might be best to be positioned behind James for the activity, lest she possibly end up accidentally paddling water at him if he was behind her.
@KatherinWinter I believe for the most part. If UnknownScarlet4 comes back, their two characters are already able to partner up. Arya10108909 may have trouble finding a partner should they return.
@LiegeLord "Hmm?" Cecilia's cheeks reddened marginally. For some reason, James saying he didn't want anything bad to happen to her made her feel really happy in an odd way. "I-I can swim, but I'll be careful," she said in a bit of a whisper also, fully mindful of how close he was to her. She didn't dislike it. In fact, she thought James looked rather cute, especially in times like this. She tended to casually break eye contact now and again, not wanting to catch herself staring like earlier that day. "Though I have to admit, I feel safer knowing you're with me, James," she said warmly, looking at the fire and then at him. She had no reference to know whether what she just said was odd or meant far more than even she may have intended. She just knew it was the truth and now felt like an appropriate time to say it.
@LiegeLord "(giggling) Okay then," Cecilia replied merrily, feeling more at ease. "I appreciate that, but I get the feeling that if we're on the same boat, it's possible that if I fall into the water, I might just tip the canoe over and make you fall in too," she noted playfully. "I'd never do it on purpose of course, so if it happens just know it'd be on accident." She was sincere in saying that she wouldn't do it on purpose, and although she didn't seem too serious about it, she kinda hoped James wouldn't think she'd do something like that to him, no matter how potentially funny it'd be. She was curious about Neric's past, but she knew it could be a sensitive topic. The Void seemed to be comfortable around her, and she didn't want to do anything to cause him distress.
@LiegeLord "I don't actually. I'd love to go with you James, i-if you don't mind having someone who hasn't gone canoeing before," she responded gladly. She looked around, finding that the others were pairing off as well. After the counselors stated the rule regarding campers not going in cabins of the opposite gender, she was glad that kind of separation didn't apply to group activities like this. She wondered if a change of clothes would be necessary for canoeing, but she figured, if nothing else, a life vest should do in a pinch. Turning back to James and Neric with a growing smile, she believed her inexperience wouldn't have bothered them that much. But there was always a chance that they had a competitive side she didn't know about.
@LiegeLord Cecilia nodded, smiling a little more. She knew he was trying to cheer her up and, with Neric at his side, may be safer than she'd think, although she wasn't a fan of all the damage being directed at him. Even a "normal" fight didn't exactly sit well with her, but saying so might make her sound like a buzzkill. Edmond and Helena sounded more into the idea, but Cecilia imagined that she'd be nervous watching them fight as well. Things could get out of hand so easily. "Okay, but whatever happens, just try and be careful, alright?" she said lightly, but still marked with genuine concern. After hearing about his past, she wasn't in a hurry to see James hurt in any way. Her response to the couselors' reprimand isn't worth consideration, but she was intrigued by their mention of canoeing and the need for partners. She was sitting near James and wondered if he had a partner in mind. "Um James? Do you know who you'll want to go with?," she innocently inquired. She would like to go with him, but wanted to see whether or not he would rather partner with someone else first.
@LiegeLord@1Hawkeyes@SoulEater Cecilia turned her attention to James, a slight glance at Neric, but mostly at James. "Y-yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking, that's all. It's nothing really," she tried to assure him somewhat passively, but it was clear she was contemplating something. "W-well actually... I was kind of thinking about what I would do if you guys really did spar with each other. I was wondering if watching might help me be less afraid in the future but... I guess the thought of yo- a-anyone getting hurt was making me feel uneasy... M-Maybe I just worry too much," she explained as best she could, smiling a little, though minutely and inexplicably anxious.
@1Hawkeyes@LiegeLord@SoulEater Cecilia's subtle apprehensions were allayed for the time being as it appeared as though there would be no fighting today. Chances were fair that things wouldn't have gotten out of hand, yet she would find herself breathing easier as she walked along with them to the fire pit. If something had happened to anyone, especially James, she couldn't begin to imagine what she would do. Now at least, she could contemplate lighter matters, like what sort of activity awaited them at the pit.
Hey guys. Just to let you know that I'm gonna be gone for much of Sunday. If it matters, Cecilia will preferably be at the sidelines, quietly conflicted and dismayed depending on what happens.
