It's actually kind of annoying how easily franchises like Lost Planet can be spun off into PvE TPSs like EDF and HD2.

Thank goodness! For a second there I thought they were about to release a new Star Fox game.

It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Why doesn't anyone come around here and IC-bait a Metal Slug RP? Sure they'll probably still bail like the rest, but at least the fans will enjoy that for a moment.

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
Dose antone need more time for breakfast? Is there anything specific anyone wants to do?
I don't have anything specific in mind, but I am pretty much finished with breakfast and ready for anything. I can have Cecilia join everyone else very easily. I'll see my way to posting something after I get some sleep.
@cloudystar That could complicate things if they're also hungover to within an inch of their life as it is, unless of course he's/she's that amazing of a healer. XD
If Viranti was at the inn, he'd just as soon carry em to the gate himself. But I'm sure you'll think of something. :)
I may not have too much time tomorrow, so I didn't want to keep you guys waiting (hence Cecilia perhaps taking a small break). Additionally, I'm wondering whether or not some of us would like to move on from breakfast to the next activity. I mean: I'm fine either way. But if around half of us have pretty much done all they planned or wanted to do for an activity, I wouldn't mind moving on along for them, you know? I'm just putting that out there. I'm fine either way. :)
@LiegeLord “Oh? Well i-if you think so. I’d hate to interrupt… but maybe it wouldn’t hurt to say hello at least,” Cecilia granted, slowly pulling her hand away from James’ and to her other hand in front of her, then immediately thinking of something, speaking her next words delicately while maintaining a cheerful smile, her right hand coming over her blushing cheek. “But... maybe I should um… calm down… first…” her voice lowered to a near hush and she looked away. “I’d like to make a good impression, so I think I’ll freshen up a little. You can go ahead though. I can even take your tray if you’re done eating. I don’t mind,” she cordially offered, standing from her seat. She was willing to take their plates to the kitchen, intending to take a few minutes for herself afterward, but if he refused, she’d be fine with it. “I’ll catch up with you in a bit, okay?” she said, smiling widely.
@LiegeLord Cecilia had just about finished her food by this point, appearing to pause with the last bite in her mouth when she heard the last words James said. She swallowed, her eyes turning down to her empty plate. "I'd like that very much..." she agreed, her voice not very ardent at all, yet quite earnest. Her hand squeezed his deftly, a subtle reassurance while she looked up at him and smiled again, her head tilting playfully. "But until then, let's enjoy our time at camp as much as we can, okay?" she said, livelier this time. "Look, the day just started, and Neric's already making friends." She smirked as she turned her head to Neric conversing with the new girl. "I wonder where he gets it from," she chuckled airily, content to spend the rest of the meal time like this with James.
@LiegeLord "Th-Thanks..." Cecilia's voice stammered as she imagined the embarrassing face she might have been making. She too resumed eating, having an easier time of it than him while still a little self conscious of how she was eating, careful to do so as competently and as nonchalantly as possible, though with only marginal success. Her smile widened a tad when she thought of perhaps helping James with his food by feeding him herself. But she had the feeling that doing so might be going too far, especially since he didn't seem to mind as far as she could see. "You know... In all that time I spent moving from place to place, I couldn't even keep in touch with any friends I did make... and eventually I couldn't get that close with anyone... And now here I am," she spoke softly before chuckling lightly as she slightly lifted his hand in hers. "And I have you to thank for that, James." She wanted to keep the mood light, yet she was sincere in what she said.
@LiegeLord James did find her empty hand, and Cecilia looked fairly surprised for a second before turning her own hand around to hold his, her thumb lightly kneading the top of his fingers and even the area further down the back. She hoped that between her hand and her warmhearted expression, he would be less inclined to dwell on how flustered she also was. There was little to no doubt she enjoyed this, although James is looking to be the only person that can steal the spotlight away from breakfast for her and if this continues, she may forget that she still had a few more bites left. "Me too..." she spoke softly, immediately thinking she should have breathed in before speaking, so she could have sounded more composed.
@LiegeLord Cecilia nodded silently during Neric's explanation, her mouth full at the time, but she reckoned that she'd keep quiet regardless. She'd just as easily assume a Void would rely on what their partner takes in as nourishment, but it seemed that their diets were as considerably varied as their appetites were massive. It made sense when she considered all the amazing things they can do. Her curiosity satiated and then some, she gladly watched the shrouded monkey go for seconds. It was nice that Neric wasn't adverse to simple questions like hers, but she felt the need to quit while she was ahead. Besides, she didn't want to possibly spoil his breakfast with too many inquiries.
Giggling more than a little after Jame's comment about Neric's appetite, she was caught with a slice of canadian bacon in her mouth and held her left hand over her mouth until she swallowed. From the sounds of things, it was likely very hard at times for the two of them to make it on their own, Neric's reference to the power lines reinforcing this point. But she took encouragement that after all the trouble they may have gotten themselves into, they can still enjoy themselves like this. "Well I'm glad to hear it. This has been a great morning for me," she said sprightly. "Honestly, that was probably one of the best night's sleep I've had in a while."
It was at this time that Cecilia thanked him for last night and looked quietly at his response. He had always seemed more calm and collected than she was the other day. Of course, she may just not have paid close enough attention, more concerned with herself and how she was reacting than his side of things. But seeing him now was a cause for flushed pause, her eyes turning down to her plate before raising affectionately to him. "I... really enjoyed being with you too. You really know how to make someone feel special," she said delicately yet genuinely in return, her face reddening as well. She felt her feelings were a bit more clear, and seeing that James may feel similarly made her really happy, even if she still worried at saying the wrong thing. She was still new to this, after all.
@LiegeLord "Good morning you two," Cecilia greeted delightfully as she looked up from her tray (she was always careful when handling sensitive things like this), her expression brightening as she smiled between them. "And sure, I'd love to sit with you guys." She carried her breakfast and set it down on a table for the three of them. She turned her head to Neric momentarily while she lowered to her seat, more intrigued to see him "consume" peppers and sauce than him taking a new monkey-like form. She mulled her next words over, already guessing as to what he'll say, but wanting to inquire anyway, as banal as the question may yet sound to him. "I didn't know you eat, Neric. How did you like it?" she asked in genuine curiosity, her fork coming over and slitting the yoke which spilled over the hash brown - a wonderful consistency.
Cecilia began to dig in, the egg on hash just too enticing to not take a bite of first. She uttered a pleased little "Mmm...", glad that the dish tasted as good as it looked and she'd even admit better than any she herself had made, though not aloud. She was very impressed with the new girl who had been so bold in addressing Kyle and Ivy prior to seating herself with them. Cecilia pondered whether or not to introduce herself, but thought that now might not be the best time, although she may have been more worried at saying the wrong thing to her or embarrassing herself in a number of different ways than making the new girl uncomfortable. And being in a crowded room only made Cecilia more anxious and heightened the stakes should worse come to worse. So she left it for now, turning her attention to James and smiling warmly. "Thanks for seeing me to my cabin, James. It was very nice of you."
