Summer of 1816 ~ June
1814-1815
Queen Mariana Varejão-Medellin II was turning thirty-seven years old on June 16th. Her family members planned a gorgeous celebration in the palace and throughout the city of Millares. The civilians knew that their Queen's birthday was coming and planned for several small events all over the city. The wealthy helped with getting the food and other things needed to make a party well-known for future generations to read about. But, the Varejão-Medellin families used most of the country's money for the party. It would cost twelve million dollars to make the Queen happy during her birthday. The wealthy of nearby nations soon heard word of an exquisite party for Queen Mariana. Hundreds of wealthy families began their trip to Millares for the party.
The Queen soon realized that the birthday party was being planned. At first, she was frustrated and angry at the fact that her birthday was going to be expensive at twelve million. Her family managed to convince their Queen that she earned the party for her "determination to making this nation better." She let them plan the birthday around the city. After months of planning, Queen Mariana's birthday was finally here. Civilians all over the empire arrived to Millares. Many of them were celebrating at local bars or on the local squares. Market places were filled with people buying supplies for the week long event. And the wealthy for several other countries soon arrived at the palace.
The event began with a big lunch inside the palace with donors and the wealthy foreigners. After the lunch, the Queen went out of the palace and went to different parts of the city. She met with locals and entered a bar to have a drink. After that, she went back into the palace for the dinner and the night party. Before dinner could start, word soon spread to the guest that the Kingdom of Dallin declared war on Madeira. The declaration of war wasn't a surprise to Mariana because of claims made by Dallin to annex the port city of Portimao.
The wealthy Dallins and Madeirans were in a heated argument about the sudden declaration of war. Things were about to get bloody as one of the Dallins pulled out his pistol. The Azrekans were right behind the Dallins and started to pull out weapons as well. Queen Mariana intervened in the argument and called for the "immediate banishment of all Dallins and Azrekans out of the palace." The Royal Guard started to escort the families out as they protested the Queen's decision and cursed at Madeirans. Once outside the palace, the banished groups started to head back to their rooms to leave the country.
Some, however, stayed behind and demanded that they return to the party at once. Those Dallins and Azrekans were drunk and upset at being kicked out of the party. One of the men threw a wine bottle at one of the Royal Guards while leaving. The bottle landed on the man's head and he suffered cuts all over his face. The guards went towards the group of men and demanded for them to stop. When they refused and kept walking, the angry guards arrested all of the fifteen men for attempted murder and causing harm to a military official. A massive brawl broke out as the guards tried to arrest the wealthy men. It only lasted two minutes before backup arrived to stop the fighting. After the brawl ended, one Royal guard and two drunken men had died. Now, the men are facing with additional changes that could get them sent to death. The Queen didn't know of the brawl until she was told about it after the birthday party.
Besides the fighting, both the dinner and the birthday party went on to be remembered in the history books for it's beauty and amazing detail around the city. The week long party wasn't over for the civilians, but the Queen went back to work to deal with the situation between the Kingdom of Dallin and Madeira. Mariana viewed the declaration of war as "the only way that King Adelius Odrimus VI could fill his hunger for power." She issued a statement towards King Adelius that questioned the declaration and warned that this war could "spell disaster for their relations in the coming years.” However, the Queen didn't want to go to war and ruin the country's growing economy.

Winter of 1815 ~ October
1814-1815
Two years had passed since the October meeting with the Queen's ministers in her palace. Since that meeting, things haven't improved that much. Due to several mistakes made by local government officials, nothing was done to accept any trade agreements or improve relations with other nations. Queen Mariana Varejão-Medellin issued new government officials to replace the "old, lazy officials." It came to be known as "Batigefaléan Laziness" to the country. After clearing up the mess, she talked about the economy to the people in the coastal city of Bonete. Even known the economy stayed the same for two years, she ensured the masses that it was only "temporary until better research is done." Most of the people were still generally confused by the Queen's decision to do nothing about the economy.
Rogelio Alvizo, the Minister of Interior, defended the Queen's plan on the economy and said to the public in Millares, "Our country has been in wars and a civil war, we can handle another year of economic decline."
Their words led to several small protests in the capital city for five weeks. During that time, the Second Takervian Uprising and Squall's End Riot happened in the matter of weeks. The Queen didn't want to give out any statements on the matters and left international news alone. Until the uprising got more interesting as Deli Husrev Pasha was captured and taken as a prisoner of the rebellion. The Queen, once again, didn't want to be trapped into one side until a clear winner presents itself. Things stayed quiet for the two years as the country slowly rebuilt itself once again.
They requested trade agreements to Azrekan Kingdom and Gilbradia again and waited for their agreements to be approved. This trade agreement was made to Gilbradia again as soon as the "Batigefaléan Laziness" ended, hoping that will in some way influence the return of the Ávila family. The government waited for the right moment to demand the return, not pushing too early or too late. They wanted the remaining Ávila royalty to face punishment, even the children weren't saved. The idea of their punishment was public humiliation and then a public hanging. Afterwards, the Varejão-Medellin families will host a public celebration to proclaim the change in the country. Of course, no-one knew about the plan at all besides the families and high ranking officials. They didn't want the Gilbradin government to turn them down because of the plans. Only time could tell if the government got their request.

Since the 20th century, mankind has made advancements in technology from medicine and televisions to nuclear weapons and long-range missiles. Before the 21st century, the world's best scientists and researchers met in Paris to discuss the possibility of human augmentation. Plastic surgery and implants were becoming more common as the century was ending. The conference discussed the ethical and moral quandaries of human augmentation only being made available to wealthy, developed countries. It also discussed the “need” and “want” in human augmentation, and the potential for human augmentation over the next century. After the discussions, The Code of Ethics on Human Augmentation was showed to the world.
The code created standards for a form of technology that is still in its infancy. World leaders at the time were too forced on the second major period of globalization. And scientist became too focus on the global warming to care about augmentation. The world soon forgot about the code until the year 2025.
The entire world has changed for better or worst. The Digital Revolution is still going strong as holograms are becoming popular as a form of entertainment. The Middle East is still suffering from terror attacks and ISIL is still a problem in the world. More cities suffered from terror attacks from Portland to Tokyo. NATO–Russia relations are still strained because of the annexation of Crimea and several other issues between them. The gap between rich and poor nations is getting worst as third world countries are suffering. More countries have left the EU.
However, the world has advanced technologically and more countries are adopting social politics like same-sex marriage into their country. Then, augmentation started to become popular in the world. It started with making your ears look like an elf's and then advanced into prosthesis. The world was witnessing something big as cyberware was becoming more common in the world. Many countries realize that Transhumanism was becoming more popular with the youth.
Russia and several Central European and Baltic State countries banned Transhumanism and cyberware among with augmentation. The citizen, that have augmentations, are facing discrimination and police brutality. These people that are augmented are now outcasts from their friends and family members as they live in separated districts and often don't talk and see normal people.
Our characters will be living at Budapest, Hungary. One of several nations that left the EU behind, Hungary is still a secondary power; but, they have improved since the Second World War. The country was the first to ban augmentations and started to discriminate against the agumented. Other countries, like Great Britain and Germany, weren't happy with them and requested that the United Nations investigate the country. But with the situation in both Africa and the Middle East getting worst, they didn't have the time to investigate at the moment. For now, Hungary and other countries are allowed to discriminate.
Either we are both augmentations or one of us is just an average human. But, we will start the roleplay off by the laws that Hungary has approved being in effect. Meaning that we or one of us will be dragged off towards one of the newly built districts in Budapest. We will live in a country that doesn't treat people with augmentations with any respect at all. This roleplay will also involved some mature themes since I am now eighteen years old. And we will have to wait until the United Nations finally responds to the situation in these countries.

@NecroKnight, alright mate. I took a hard look at your character and realized that she doesn't fit in with everyone else. I understand that you want to be in this roleplay and put in hard work on your character. However, I can't accept her at all. She can't be on active duty and it can't be altered. I'm also concerned about her interactions with others—as you stated that she's "introvert at best, and lone wolf at worst." It implies that she will have little to do with any of the other characters in this roleplay.
As I said before, group effort is the important point of this game. Lone characters in this game are likely to die sooner because they won't go up to everyone. I thank you for your hard work, but she can not be accepted given the base foundations of her character.
