"Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.
Hi, I'm interested in this, but I've got a couple of questions before I jump in.
First, can someone with only a passing knowledge of DC and marvel play this game without much trouble, or will I end up lost and confused most of the time / have my character do dumb things because they don't know some basics of the universe?
Second, is there somewhere I can find a summary of what went on in the first year of this game?
1. Yes you can do this without much knowledge! Before this roleplay I didn't have much, and used google a lot!
2. Yes there is and I shall get the link for that shortly! Thanks for reminding me!
@RumikoOhara I just woke up but j shall have a look at the CS shortly
I spent most of the day in hospital yesterday after suffering a car crash (I wasn't driving, never will i take a carpool again) and came home with a concussion.
I'm trying to catch up on roleplays, while catching up on uni stuff i missed because of it, but am finding it a little hard to concentrate.
I know I'm only on day three, but thought I'd get it out there now! I'm gonna try and post tomorrow though, but just in case I don't, this is why.
Okay guys! I'd love if new commers could post their CS here, in the OOC first!
I have to edit my guys, but I'll have them up soon!
I will be using Phoebe, daughter to Bruce wayne and pamela Isley, Connor, Son to tony Stark and Pepper, and I do have another character I will be introducing but she doesn't actually have super parents
Casual is the best, really. Honestly, you get people that write advanced level posts there, but don't think its worth doing advance cause yeah, no one commits.
Casual people tend to commit, and that's all I need!
This RP takes place in an amalgamation of the Marvel and DC comics universes. Most of the heroes and villains from these comics have either retired or died. Some, however have decided to teach the next generation of superhumans how to use their powers. At a facility known as the Academy, the children of heroes and villains are given the training necessary to help them achieve their goals, whether those goals are benevolent or nefarious
Summer break is over, and students are once more returning to the Academy. New students are beginning, and old ones are finding their way back. After the events of the first year, school officals hope for a quieter year, but with rumors of a powerful individual beginning to rise those hopes are diminishing fast. One thing seems factual though, that they are a recent graduate of the Academy. This throws into light the ability of the school to train students, as many believe it to be a school simply to train heroes, and not villains.
School leaders seek to smooth things over, and make the school year as calm as possible, yet it is clear there will be troubles. Just what, no one is sure. Yet with the school already broken into over the summer, records open, teachers are worried some students maybe recruited by the individual.
Between Bruce Wayne (Principle), Tony Stark (benefactor) and Charles Xavier (Teacher) School secruity has increased, but will this be enough, not just to prevent this new rising power from attacking but to also prevent students from harm, it is not yet known. Things are tense, and they can only become more so.
Rules:
1- No Godmodding. The point of this school is that the students need to learn how to use their powers. They can't show up and be bad***** within a week. If I feel that you're godmodding and I ask you to tone it down, please listen. Three strikes within a month and your banned for a month. When you come back, if it happens again, you're banned for good.
2- Keep cursing to a minimum.
3- Keep romance PG-13. Anything else needs to be taken to PMs.
4- If two people want the same parents for their characters, the person that joined the RP first decides whether or not they share.
5-there is a two post rule, meaning you have to wait two posts before you can post again
Schedule: First period-Power development second period break third period lunch fourth period-gym fifth period
CS format-
Name: Allias Gender: Age: (13-24) Parents: Powers and abilities: Personality: Bio: Optional Appearance: (Either a picture, or very detailed description)
current parents that are taken-if you wish to have these parents you must ask Bruce Wayne Tony stark Pamela Isley Barry Allen Raven ragdoll Mystique Peter parker Amanda Waller
NB Some of these parents may be avalible, depending on if people come back. year one summary
Details about the Academy:
The students can either live in dorms on campus, or live at home with their parents.
There will be three class that are mandatory for the entirety of the RP. They are a daily Physical Training class, a Powers Development Class, and a weekly Battle Simulation class, which utilizes a VR room. One other class will be a temporarily mandatory Alias Creation class. This class will be where the students develop their costumes (?) and unique hero/villain names. I will control the teachers of the mandatory classes. Any other class your characters attend are up to you. The first person to introduce a class may roleplay as the teacher if they wish. Otherwise, someone else can be the teacher. Any questions?
In this RP all of the major superheroes and villains have revealed their secret identities, but it was done without a civil war.
