Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Niesha

location:Kris's apartment.

Niesha gave a soft sigh, contemplating going to get some ice while Kristina was in the shower, but she didn't want to leave her alone, in case she got into a bit of trouble. She listened as kristina spoke, squirming slightly. For Niesha, the prospect of telling anyone she liked them was a hard one. It wasn't something she had ever really done before. She always came up with excuses, always figured that the person didn't like her like that, and what was the point of risking heart ache and embarrassment?

"In my experience, sometimes the knowing is worse" Niesha said softly, remembering her troubled teen years. She seemed to drift off for a minute, unable to stop the memories that she'd rather just fade away, but were as sharp as if they had just happened. She shook her head, as if she could wipe it as easily as an etch a sketch.

As Kristina hoped about, Niesha watched her, ready to help if the other girl needed it. Sitting down with the bandages, Niesha gently, but tight enough to provide support, wrapped Kristina's ankle, doing so to provide the ability to still bend her ankle, while keeping it supported. It was really a simple bandage, and Niesha was doing in mere moments, checking the perfusion by pressing Kristina's toe nails, and watched the white rapidly turn to back to red. She did the same above and below the banddage, a little over the top but Niesha wanted to make sure it was okay. "I haven't exactly had good experiences with telling someone I liked them. The only relationship I had kinda just...faded back into friendship, and that relationship only happened because she wouldn't just let me be" Niesha had gone to college, mute and a troubled individual that had trouble with emotions and explaining herself, and come out little better at emotions, although she spoke more often.

College was easier to dwell on then high school and her childhood, but still those times were over. "I'd rather have friendship with Sophie, then nothing. Sometimes the risk is too great. And...and I can't protect her. I couldn't protect my community, how can I protect her? I let her get bitten. I should have been watching. I'm too...unworthy" Checking the blood flow once more, Niesha was satisfied and she stood up, "I'll help you to the infirmary, I'm not going to let you hop down there" She said, managing a small smile. "I don't know if there's any pain killers, but Ice will do you well. I can try and get some from the mess hall. Miss Sally will hopefully give us some. But I'll get you to the infirmary, first" She had hoped to avoid the infirmary now, but Kristina was more important to her then her own pride. She offered a hand to Kristina, and said "You can use me as a crutch. I won't collpase" she promised, managing another smile.
As the bell rang, Mimic strode into the classroom, glancing over the class and noting that some students weren't in the room yet, he gave a sigh, but that was to be expected on the first day. He'd just have to make sure they didn't make a habit of it. On his wrist was a watch like appliance, although it was clear that it was not a watch. If anyone had been paying attention while walking the school grounds, they would have seen that every teacher wore one of these. Yet another example of the new security measures in the academy.

Mimic made no reference to it, as he addressed the class. "Power development is a compulsary class. That means you cannot drop out of it. The name can be misleading, many people think it is about developing your powers and some of you don't particularly have those extra powers, but have other skills and don't think you should be doing this.

That is a common misconception. In power development we develop your skills, not just your powers, as well as your super identities. Here, we learn what it is to be a super and how to stay hidden in the world."

He looked over the class, recognising some students from the previous year, and new faces. The rumors obviously hadn't detered students from coming, which was always a good sign. Still, they had to be trained, and that was his job. "Today, I will be testing your abilities, and that means you shall be fighting me. I don't expect any of you to win, nor do I expect we will get through this today. This is merely my way of learning what you can do, and how to develop your skills and abilities. However, I have been surprised before."

He looked over the class again, "Some of you have done this before, and know what to expect. However, there has been a break and it will be interesting to see how you have developed over that. Today though, the new students shall have a go. Feel free to offer your experiences, for now, who wishes to go first?"

Phoebe looked over to emily and said "it's actually a common misconception that you need powers to be in power development. I think the name should be changed to super development or something. It's more about developing your skills and abilities then it is about powers. The dorms are just around by the cafeteria, but we really should get to class" She said "I can show you around later, if you'd like"

She smiled at Tsura, and said "don't worry. there were times when I didn't have full control over my powers. Now though I have better control over them, and have expanded my abilities. Part of that is having my mother teach me, but the school helped too." She said

She looked back to Emily and said "there are a few students without powers that have developed their other skills through power development. I'm sure you will meet them soon. But as I said, even if you don't see the point of attending the class, it is compulsary for all students"

Back in his office, Bruce paced the length of it. Clark however watched the monitors, the constant survallance over the grounds flickering over them, the constant data from the security measures rolling over the screen. Half of it he didn't know what it meant, but that was why Tony was there. Tony was standing at a monitor, eyes darting across the screen as the data rolled over it. They expected an attack today, to follow the hacking in the early hours.

The monitors flashed blue, and Starks fingers flew across the keyboard faster then Clark could follow, but it had the effect to stop Bruce from pacing, approaching a monitor as well. On their wrists, the screens flashed blue as well, an indictor to teachers in classes that there was a minor breach, and to be aware of something more serious.

Connor made his way to power development, troubled. Listening as Mimic spoke, He couldn't help a chuckle, as he remembered the first day of class last year. He doubted that trick would work again, but he now at least had some indication of how to fight, even if he wasn't particularly good at it yet.

@dabombjk@KatherinWinter

Kalinda caught the flash of annoyance, but merely smiled. How could she explain that, while she had control, so many strong emotions might cause her to...lose control and her powers were stronger with higher emotional strength. She was purely being selfish, while trying to help.

She sent a flash of caution, with a little bit of fear when Kyle gripped her arm tighter, before dispersing it. In otherwords, she was trying to tell Kyle that it was purely for her benefit. "He's wonder Junior, really" She said, "and seems to be prone to theatrics, that are quite entertaining" She added, before saying to Zack and Griffin, "I'm glad, I would have missed you guys"
For an RP that's in it's beginning phase, this one's moving at a slow pace. While I don't lack the patience to quit after 2-3 days of no response, nor am I the type of person to lose interest in a jiffy, this is an indicator that this RP won't last long. I'm not interested in participating in a roleplay that is gonna crash before a proper takeoff.

I'm leaving. Good luck to all of you in your endeavours.

Lydyn has made it perfectly clear that she has had a lot going on. Yes, while it is in the begining phase, and moving slow, that is not an indicator that this is going to crash. I am in a couple of roleplays that are slow at the moment, and have come to the conclusion that it is merely the time of year. As this generally happens about this time, given the last two years.

I, for one, am going to make sure it doesn't crash.
I shall have something up soon

Maybe when I've woken a bit more

Luna Stevenoson
24, 5'4, Female

[ S Y N O P S I S ]

Luna is an easy going woman, however she can be strict. She gives her whole life to her career, that being a nurse, despite the fact she knows more then a doctor. She does what is required, and finally had the chance to join the expedition/s to explore the unknown, providing healthcare when required.

[ A P P E A R A N C E ]

With light brown skin that indicates a mainly indoor existance, with some time outside, Luna has deep green eyes, and short black hair, choosing to keep it short for practicality, then looks. She typically stands tall, showing that she won't bow down easily.

She wears a pair of small earings, reseaved and mostly there because she likes them. True to her trade, her nails are bare, cut short and typically wears clothes that are easy to move around in.

[ P E R S O N A L I T Y ]

Despite her small stature, Luna is nevertheless a very present invidiual. She typically lets her opinion be known, and will protect those that are unable to protect herself. She is a bright, cheerful individual. She can be sarcastic at times, but this is generally when she has reached her ability to be patient.

She doesn't particularly get angry easily, however there are times when she reaches her breaking point, and you wouldn't want to be around her when this happens. With her patients, she can have a stern yet caring bedside manor, and with those she interacts with, she can be cheerful and friendly, but this can change when she reaches her breaking point.

[ H I S T O R Y ]

Luna is no stranger to hardship. Conceived as a result of rape, she was born to a mother who didn't know how to deal with what she had been through, and didn't have anything to give her. So for the first few years of life, Luna grew up in a cold, unloving home, kept alive more as a result of duty then anything else. When her mother killed herself, Luna was essentailly left to herself. Only four years old, she fled the house that had never been her home, Lost, she fell asleep in a ditch that was just big enough for her small body.

She was found in the morning, but a homeless man who had never but the clothes on his back, and a small collection of food. Yet he took Luna in, caring for her, and giving her more love and care then her mother had. She soon learned how to steal, and in time they had a home. Small, run down and dark, it was nevertheless a home. As she grew, Luna learned how to make the place bright, and as her adoptive father would stumble to work each morning, and stumble back, she would cook meals, even as she studied.

She was known as the tramps daughter, and was thus shuned by other kids at school, but she never let this get to her, and soon won the other kids over, with her charm and cooking skills. She soon had a good group of friends, and was doing well in school. Going to college was something she had never dreamed off, and getting in was the best thing in the world for her.

Unable to pay the fees to study to be a doctor, Luna decided to become a nurse and work her way up. Throughout her studies she proved again and again that she was incrediably smart. Upon her graduation, she had many offers for employment, and soon she was working. She proved time and again that she was an exceptional nurse.

Applying for a position on the expedition, Luna's life changed once again.
