The body guard didn't really scare Cassandra-She stared right on back at him, then gave a bored sigh. She shook her head, wondering if perhaps it might be a good idea to invest in some self defense lessons. She gave a small smile and said "Well, if you wanted to dance, all you had to do was ask, but I'm terribly clumsy and my knee might just slip...into a delicate area" Where was this boldness coming from, this bawrdy sentance? It wasn't merely anger at the situation, at once more perceived power and station being more important then being nice. It wasn't just that not even a month ago, she wouldn't have even been an ant on someone like Chiyo's radar. Or maybe it was.

She let her smile grow, and said "Did Chiyo hire you after the other day? Well, it wouldn't be the way I'd go to deter people thinking I was weak, but then what do I know? I don't need a body guard" Glancing about at the punch, Cassandra curled her hands into fists. How could people just stand there, and watch someone be abused, be attacked like that, for a simple accident? But someone did. The boy stepped in, and Cassandra watched as he moved past the bodyguard, and stood up for Itsuko.

"Not to mention the security cameras...won't the offical's just like the good show you've given them, I can practically see the headlines now, "Chiyo resorts to violence like a no good hoodlem over a spilt drink!" or maybe "Chiyo cares more about clothes then the citizens of this city". Wouldn't that reflect nicely on Mommy? You know, if you've done damage to her, the medical staff will want to know how...and I'll tell them, if she doesn't" Cassandra didn't care that she was threatening Chiyo. Things would change, if people just let them happen. Darting around the body guard, Cassandra quickly grabbed Itsuko, carefully.

And it seemed like it was only the boy who was stepping in. Had people become so accostumed to this sort of thing, to the lessons Deep ground taught them, that they just didn't care about each other anymore? Was life all about success now? Had it always been this way? Maybe that was what made Cassandra go to Itsuko's rescue to begin with.

"Are you okay?" She asked Itsuko, concerned.

Cassandra frowned, studying the marks on their hands, a little...uneasy about it. "What-?" did that mean she had a brother? It didn't seem possible, wouldn't her mother have told her if she did? Wouldn't someone in the school have told them? It seemed something too shocking to keep hidden from them. Shaking her head, she said, "But...how? Wouldn't my mother....what is going on?"

Jamie listened to the intereaction, quite full of pride herself for Amelia. Staying silent, Jamie glanced about them. For once, everything seemed quite in the city. "It's getting late" Jamie said softly, wondering where the time had gone. One minute it seemed like an early lunch, late breakfast and then it seemed to be merely mid afternoon.

Gabriel didn't really have time to react to what was going on, his dragon seemed to take things into his own hands, bucking Gabriel off his feet, the dragon caught the young mage on its back, and circled higher and higher around the abomination. Gabriel didn't know what was going on, and the only thing he could do was hold oto the dragon, as below he heard Leo chuckle with amusement.

what am I meant to do when my own spirits treat me like a child?

He knew that chances were the dragon was merely trying to keep him safe, but it darted in, begining to rip frlesh from the creature, darted back, and in again, over and over again, until Gabriel was covered in gore himself. He had absolutely no idea what was going on, but he knew it wasn't good. How could you defeat something that didn't seem to feel pain?
