Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Niesha

location: dead teen, near medical garden--> courthouse building one

Niesha allowed herself on brief moment to stare down at the teen. Maybe there would have been a chance to save him, to bring him back from death, but she knew CPR would be next to useless. And there were other kids to think about. But she would always wonder. Shaking her head, she wiped the knife on her shirt, and began to usher any lingering kids towards the courthouse, figuring orders be damned. Victor would just have to put up with her presence there, although she could avoid the infirmary.

She called out for any children hiding, and when she couldn't see anyone, she followed the last of the children to the building, constantly glancing about, as if by looking she could summon Sophie. Sighing softly, Niesha gave Kristina a wave when she saw her waiting. She looked back once more, wishing she didn't have to leave the dead teenager behind. Right then though it was for the living.

She looked about at the children. She was surprised they had held up so well, and saddened that despite the relative safety here, they didn't really get to be children. She looked to Kristina, and gave a sigh. "The teen was dead, there...there might have been a chance, maybe, but I couldn't risk it, could I?" Her voice was full of desperation, as if she needed someone to tell her it was okay. She dashed her hands furiously at her eyes, pressing them to her eyes, as if that could stop the tears.

"I...I had to...had kill the brain, didn't I?" She cleared her throat, and managed to get control of herself, wiping furiously at the last few tears. "I don't know if Sophie is okay...and there were four shots. What if theres a newly turned resident stumbling about?" She kept her voice as low as she could, looking over the children again. She gave a heavy sigh, and drew in a deep breath. "Hey kids, do you want to sing a song?" Perhaps it would take their minds off everything, at least it would give them something to do.
@dabombjk
Kalinda smiled as Kyle struggled for words, finding it cute. She made a sound as he put her down, but managed to keep her feet. She shook her head and said "I don't care if I get in trouble, I want to check up on Zack and Griffin. I can't just abandon my friends for fear of getting in trouble" She said, "besides, you didn't skip. You ducked out early, and you had your fight. You'll be okay" She said, trying to be reassuring.

She gave him a smile, and said "Besides, I don't think the teachers will be too worried about leaving class early, with everything that's gone on"

@KatherinWinter
Phoebe gave Katherin a hug, relieved she was okay and glad to see her after so long. "I don't think it's any student, and the way the teachers have been acting, it isn't them" She said, looking about them, but it seemed everyone had broken the illusion.

"I'm sure Dad is getting things under control, but...something doesn't seem right"
Excuse me, miss @Caits? We would appreciate your presence in the Black Knights White Starts PM.

Thank you!

I'll check it out in a little bit

I spent a mostly sleepless night trying not to panic because I couldn't breath when laying down. So if I fall asleep at my tablet and don't respond hats why
As Gerswhin moved her, Caits thought one why Gerswhin had chosen to let her live. Why? Was it a morals thing? Or was she doomed to live with the knowledge that she had sent so many people to their deaths? To live with the knowledge that it was her fault Dioxide was dead? Or was it merely a choice for Gerswhin? Caits had seen the humanity in her eyes. Did Gerswhin's abilities work...based on sin?

What she could do was certainly...avenging like. It was...uncontrollable. It was death in the most violent of ways, and Caits found herself...not numb to it, not even revolted by it...but she couldn't say it pleased her. It was...shocking. It was disturbing. But Caits couldn't say that the doctor didn't deserve it.

The doctor was more of a monster then Gerswhin could ever be.

She didn't worry for a moment she had unleashed such violence on the world. She was beyond that, right now. And from what she had just seen...Gerswhin could pull herself back. The cries of soilders reached her, but Caits was beyond pitying them. Yes, they were doing what they were told, but they could revolt. They could stop.

As slowly the anaesetic fluid wore off, Caits looked about. The blood and core horrified her, but it wasn't enough to stop her regretting what she had done. When she could stand, she did, retriving her guns and weapons, she stumbled towards the door, but had to lean against the wall.

Cody sang as he walked. Any obsticales that came in his way, he took down. He tried not to kill where he could help it, often trapping soliders and agents behind light cages, but occassionally there were times he had to kill. the few times he was hit, his body healed quickly.
I'll shall post...soon
Kalinda stirred at the kiss. Since she had developed her empathic abilities, skin to skin contact was generally a high risk for her. Such intimate things like kissing, Kalinda had never thought to have. Yet for one shining moment, it was just Kyle. All Kyle. She responded to his kiss, returning it, an overwhelming sense of...it wasn't happiness, or joy...satisfaction? Flowing over her. For a moment it seemed like their emotions mixed perfectly, and she was scared, just for a flicker of a second. She broke away before anything more could happen, wondering what that had been.

"Well" she said after a moment, "that's certainly one way to wake a girl up" she managed a smile, but she was still quite pale. And besides. It was nice being carried by Kyle.

She gave a soft, contented sigh. Her first kiss, and she was half comatose. Still, she was sure this was how a satisfied cat felt like. "Maybe when I'm more aware, we could try that again"

I do want to point out that Nathan's victim mindset and general withdrawal from the people around him isn't something that I intend to keep permanent, but to change over time as his character develops. He's stuck believing that he's nothing but a freak, someone that people get uncomfortable around, which is what he's been dealing with from non-mutants for the last 17 years. Thanks to Connor especially, I think he'll start to see that maybe he isn't as segregated from those around him as he thinks he is.

Also, @Caits, I think it'd be good for Nathan if he and Kalinda developed a friendship, a big part of his social dissociation is due to the fact that he thinks he's more machine than man, someone who can sense the emotions of those around her might be able to help him understand that he is an actual person, not just a robot. I don't want to try and force it, just figured I'd bounce it off of you to get your thoughts.

Sure we can do that ^.^

Is this woman who appeared also an illusion? Like, can those who have broken out of the darkness still see/hear her?

Good question.

It would be little bit more then an illusion, yes. But still an illusion. Kinda like...astral projection.

Not really something that could be broken...yet
@Caits, sorry to be a massive pain; but I still haven't heard back from you about the CS' I posted a while back.

Whenever you get a moment, here they are.

I so sorry

rubs eyes

I haven't been well the last week.

Anyway, they seem okay to me
I'll post tomorrow, things kida just got overhwleming.

Ah. Where'ever his cell is, and perhaps two halls over.

Oh, there will be a reaction. Call it shock first up, and the next one will be more...expresssive. That's why I wanna wait till morning to post XD

Cassandra

Interacting with @KoL

Cassie looked up at the sound of a somewhat familiar voice, frowning slighttly as she saw Itsuko, once more it seemed at the mercy of Chiyo. Without a thought, Cassie went over to Itsuko's defense again, expecting trouble, but at this point she didn't really care. "Hey! I wanted to catch up with you again! Jeez, you're having the worst luck, aren't you?" She said, approaching Itsuko, and for now seeming to ignore Chiyo. She wanted to pull Chiyo's eyes from Itsuko first.

Cassie wasn't particularly worried about what could happen to her-it wasn't like she herself had any standing, nor had anything valuable. She wasn't even particularly skilled in Deep ground. Cassie just knew she couldn't stand about and let someone feel terrorised. She didn't give a damn about anyone's standing. People had a right to be treated like they were human.

Besides, she was tired of being scared.

"Accidents happen, right?" She kept her voice calm, and unafraid. A mistake, perhaps, yet she managed to sound even marginally respectful.
