Once geting assent from Vanessa, Cassie led the boys to the kitchen, glancing about. Since she was a child, she had been cooking meals for her Aunt and herself-Her aunt's idea of a meal was peanut butter sandwiches, and she often got creative. At least she made edible food.

She smiled at both boys, beginning to find her way around the kitchen, gathering food and gear she said"What say 45 minutes? We should be able to cook something in that time" She said brightly. looking to Gage especially.

Cody tilted his head, as if listening to the approaching soliders. There was something different to them...he hummed to himself, pondering it for the barest of seconds. He walked into the hallway, unconcerned.

The reinforcements didn't bother him. Beyond the fact that he could see their shapes, due to the light of their beings, he could hear them. Their breathing, their movement, the creak of their armor.

"So...I don't imagine this is a dinner party"

His voice seemed to echo, but he didn't seem to notice that. Beyond, he could hear the fighting, the violence of Gerswhin's attack. He tilted his head the other way, thoughtful.

"I'm disappointed. Even now, your boss hides behind you. Is he just a coward? Afraid that he will indeed fall to me? Such a shame. Maybe he thinks I'll be weaknend and he'll win easily"

He had no doubts that Big Boss could hear him. His tone was calm, and neutral, and he gave a sigh.

"Oh well"

He began to weave light, creating cages, still seeking to contain rather then kill, but if pressed, he would kill. As he did this, he began to form balls of light, which he shot at the reinforcements, testing right them, the extent of the reinforcements strength.

To answer the question more thoroughly, Yeah, there will be a small time skip, just for a bit of jolly stuff, for christmas!

Probably only a couple of days, really, and then another time skip of about 4 months. This will then lead into the island arc, and some...fun stuff.

And then there will be the massive, two year time skip.

Paulina's always down for researching people's abilities, so, we could say that in conjunction with the Academy's researchers they figured out a fairly good idea of how Ashleigh is able to sense people's emotions at all, and then Paulina wrote an enchantment that acts like a pair of mental earplugs, suppressing her senses enough that she could easily ignore others emotions even in a large crowd. Since the enchantment has to be written on something, it could be attached to an accessory that she wears, or as a tattoo that she has somewhere on her body.

I prefer it would be an accessory. Like a bracelet XD Just cause a tattoo is kinda permament, and she might have need of the full use of her abilities
