Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

As Gerswhin rushed to him, hugged him, Cody let his arms slide around her, trying to comfort her, to try and make things better simply...he was probably fooling himself. How could he say it would be better? They were being hunted. Who knew what had been done to them? He sighed softly, at her words, and reached to stroke her hair, his touch gentle.

"I'm not going to let you be hurt again, if I can help it, Gerswhin. We're safe here. My light cannot be broken"

He spoke with confidence, knowing it was true. By creating walls of light, Cody could keep the room safe, even if the walls were taken down. He could keep them safe, so long as there was light he could replenish himself with.

"It will be okay"

He would make it okay, no matter what it took. He would make it so they were safe, so that they wouldn't have to fear being taken in again, or killed. So they wouldn't be hunted again and again, for the rest of their lives, no matter how short that was. Because the alternative was to just lay down and die.

"I promise. I will make it so"

He didn't know how. But he would. He was briht, intelligent. He could figure it out. He could do this. Even if it took everything he had, he would do it. There had to be something. Anything. He closed his eyes, weary. Drawing a breath, Cody began to softly sing. It was all he had right then, and he sought to inspire hope.

His voice rose and fell with the song, something meaningless, really. Yet often it wasn't the words, but the tone, the feeling of the song. And a part of Cody always put his soul into a song. He trailed off slowly, the music seeming to hang around for a moment or two, before disappitating. He weaved light a moment, around the stairs, the walls to strengthen them, He would keep them safe.

Swallowing, he looked down to Gerswhin, to see how she was.

Maria was just contemplating the pros and cons of throwing something into the screen, for a second, as she gripped her desk tightly, digging her fingers into the desk. She looked up as Viccar entered, her expression blank, the fury toiling within her hidden. Which was probably more dangerous then normal. She rose slowly, smoothly.

Her nostrials flared, the only sign of anger she let show. "Talk to them? Pray tell, Viccar, who will talk to them? No one can get close, the one person that did, thanks to those Russian Assholes, screwed up, and is now running around calling herself "Destiny", while the team sent to secure two children has now screwed up so much, that exposure beyond anything we can deal with has now been seen by the world.

Who will go talk to them? You?" She laughed, shaking her head
Callie was oddly pleased as he looked at the charm braelet. She was proud of her work, at times it had taken a long time to prepare, and the charms could work for anyone, although she tended to keep her charms to herself. Not because she was worried they'd be used on her, but because they were all unique, and she'd made them, designed them, herself. She smiled, and shook her head, "No, I'd never use them against you"

Steak? For breakfast? It seemed a little odd, until she remembered they'd spent the morning hours...well, happily. And she was hungry. "Steak sounds positively wonderful" although the thought of going out, reminded her she had very little money. She bit her lip, thoughtful. She needed an income...

Kalinda flinched as someone appeared by her, grimacing at his emotions, so close. It felt like it was vibrating through her, and she glanced away, the emotions causing her to feel a little sick. Uneasy, she glanced back to the boy, and then away, sighing to herself. "I'm fine." She said, regusing to say more, and glancing away. She felt weak, tired and ready to explode, but aside from that, fine.

phoebe hurried along to catch up with Katherine, giving her friend asmile and saying "So, want to be job buddies?" She asked, "We could work on our skills together and stuff. And we make a good team" In fact, a simulation had once shown just how deadly they could be together. Smiling, she waited for Katherine to answer

Niesha

building Five, Fabrication----> Building E, Sophia and niesha's apartment.

Niesha watched Sophia sign them in, glad to be rid of the grease, she waited for Sophia, before following after her, back towards their apartment. Niesha was grateful to be in their semblance of home, and she took off her shoes before entering, not wanting to drag in muck. She'd clean them later. Gathering some clothes, Niesha glanced towards Sophia, hesitating. She realisd that they could be there all night, arguing over who should have a shower first.

Hurrying into the shower, Niesha cleaned as much of the grease and gunk off as she could, feeling much better for it as she dried and dressed, coming out to let Sophia have a shower, Niesha ran her fingers through her wet hair, glad to have the mess off her. Knowing they'd have to have their clothes washed, because they were a resource unable to be thrown away. Grease Stains were a heck of a lot better then blood stains. Which the clothes had today, anyway.

Now that they were home, and getting clean, she really didn't want to go out again, but Niesha would, for Sophia. Aside from the fact, she wanted Sophia to be happy, she knew that Sophia had been stuck in the infirmary without much outside stimulus. Going to the play with her would be good. "Your turn"

Charmander-Meintja, watched the scene with the Levitar, Kaiser. She shifted, wrapping her tail around herself, she let her gaze turn to her flame. A captured pokemon. She gave a sigh, and rose smoothly once Rasa had introduced her, managing a smile for the other pokemon. "Hello. I'm...Meintja" The name felt odd on her tongue, and she hesitated over it, but if she was going to be a captured pokemon, best go with the name given her. "A pleasure to meet you" She may as well get friendly with Kaiser-the bat wasn't going to be a friendly companion after all.

Shifting, Meintja looked to Rasa again, as she offered the baked goods to them.Shaking her head, Meintja said "I ate a little before the battle. I'm good." She hesitated a moment, looking away, "I need to speak with some people if I'm not going to be around, let them know I can't do the jobs I use to for them"
