Let the games begin! the Opening Post is up and we are ready to go. I work nights 5 days a week with alternating weekends off. I will do my best to post as often as I can, but I am a method-poster kind of person so it can take some time. Hope we can all have fun!

JUMP CITY NEWS

Hello, residence of Jump City! it's me, Chester Stevenson, with your daily highlights. Today has shaped up to be a beautiful late spring day with temps in the mid 70's, and sun, sun, sun! The downtown area is, as always, a prime spot for your recreation this afternoon with many of the outdoor cafes setup and ready for the warmer weather. If you find yourself in the waterfront parks keep a look out for the starting of the summer festival! The carnival on Jump City Pier will be opening soon and they love to show off their attractions along the parks. as for traffic in the busy streets we can see some light build ups through the grids, and construction on Main Avenue North in front of the 3rd Street offices and the Jump City Post has that end of town all stopped up. That will cover the highlights of today, but do come back this evening and join us for the latest scoops on the controversial reopening of the Lex Corp Research and Development labs that just two years ago was responsible for the widespread power-grid issues in the suburbs south of the city, and after that the Jump City District Attorney, Gregory Roberts, will be making a statement about the recent case against Pino Maroni and the findings of the investigation into his acquiring of several warehouses that were found to be housing illegal items. That and more tonight!

"That is something that we can look into on our side, thanks for the heads up Cy." Robin said sitting at his desk on a call with some of the original Titan members. "I am sure that STAR Labs will have something public to cover it up, but we will see what we can find on the back end." Robin cycled his console through a couple screens of news and business articles as Cyborg signed off before continuing. "Beast Boy, I need your team to look into the images from the Watch Tower of the Congo Basin. It looks like there may be activity around an abandon mine there that were closed off after Deathstroke withdrew. Recon and report back." He sent a few files to Beast Boy and then he too signed off. "Raven, if your team is settled in alright I would really like you to get with Zatanna on the project I sent you. Keep your distance, but I want a heads up if there are any more anomalies." She then signed off shortly after Robin's instruction. That would conclude Robin's review of the overnight reports from the other Titan teams and their monthly briefing.
Powering down his console he leaned back in his desk chair. Looking over some miscellaneous papers and clippings on his desk, he stood up and looked over to "The Wall" as it had been termed in the past. The Wall was a large portion of one of the walls in his room that was covered with bits of news papers, pictures, and other documents that were connected with strings of various colors like a tydie spiderweb. No longer used he kept it up more as a memento to the past successes of the team, and a way to keep vision. Looking over the various pages and plucking some of the strings he thought back on the days when he had last used this web of information now out of date. News articles about robberies, missing property and shipments, and some of sightings of monsters, while others were headlines of the teams victories. He found the most recent article on The Wall: a factory explosion headlined Titans Coordinate Sting to Apprehend Terrorist Cell the article talked about the efforts the team went through over the years to track down, expose, and attempt to apprehend the terrorist villain Deathstroke and those that worked with him. This article was two years old at this point and Robin had yet to hear anything of Deathstroke. the next news article in line with that was one of the Titans recruiting new members with the help of the JLA and splitting up to seed new teams around the globe. The news clipping had a picture of the team; Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, and Cyborg, standing shoulder to shoulder with other young meta humans. That was the last time the team had been all together.
Taking a step back from the wall he sighed. Has it really been that long?. Shaking his head he sat back in his chair a moment. Save for Starfire, the others had went out to help establish and coordinate these other teams. They check in regularly and occasionally make it out for briefings on special projects, but it had been years since they had worked together. Robin gathered some documents and filed them away in an attempt to clean up his desk, forever buried in papers. Reaching for his Gotham High letterman jacket Robin paused a moment before passing it up and leaving his room to go to the kitchen where he would find some food before talking with the team about some leads they would be looking into for the week.

I put up a shortened timeline that leads to the start of our story, the opening post will have more pertinent information on the stetting and current state of the story. I am just about ready to post it up I just need to finish some polishing on it and hope to have it up by tonight or tomorrow.

Unique Physiology:
Due to a military enhancement procedure, Slade Wilson's physiology was changed permanently. First, the procedure crippled his mind and body. Then, the experiment rebuilt his physical and mental faculties further than a human could process or build. These enhancements make Deathstroke an enhanced human, not superhuman and afford him the enhancements.

Enhanced Intellect:
Able to think 9 times faster and utilize that much more of his mind than your average human for information processing and sorting, Deathstroke's mind is virtually a computer built for strategy and problem-solving, one that works at optimal ability even when under stress and fatigue. He is also ingenious in devising solutions against superior aspects of opponents, can observe and exploit, and can calculate distance, speed, and time at lightning speeds; his sense of timing is superb, bordering on perfection.

Enhanced Reflexes:
Deathstroke possesses enhanced reflexes. The speed at which he reacts allows him to dodge fast-moving projectiles such as arrows and bullets. He can usually out-react even the fastest humans, no matter how well-trained.

Enhanced Speed:
Ability to run at speeds of up to 30mph and long distances far out-performing any Olympic athlete.

Enhanced Stamina:
Deathstroke can exert himself at peak capacity greater then any human could.

Enhanced Strength:
His entire muscular system was hardened and strengthened making Deathstroke many times stronger than an average human to the point of tearing off an airplane door and twisting steel with his bare hands.

Enhanced Senses:
Deathstroke's senses have been augmented to higher levels of ability. He can perceive things better than a normal human. This includes, but is not limited to:

Regenerative Healing Factor:
With an enhanced ability to heal damaged tissue, the rate at which Deathstroke's body recovers from injury and capable of being repaired before death. As such, Deathstroke's body can take a tremendous amount of punishment before succumbing to death. Simple gunshot and stab wounds, cuts, and broken bones can heal faster than normal. He was once impaled clean through his chest, and it did nothing but slow him down but cause great pain leaving scars

Enhanced Immunity:
Deathstroke's regenerative abilities have some affect on his body's ability to process through harmful, foreign substances and he has become naturally immune to deadly poisons and illnesses.

Slowed Aging:
An important aspect to note is that while Deathstroke is apparently aging, he does so very slowly, appearing younger than he actually is.

Tactical Analysis:
Deathstroke is a great strategist and tactician. Always calculating his opponents moves before hand; he even single handedly defeated the JLA roster that lacked the "Big Three". He has been compared to Batman in terms of tactical methods. Even against metahumans he has proven more than a match for them all at once with time to prepare. Roy Harper once claimed the Deathstroke was, "The worlds greatest tactician." Using his superior problem-solving skills, Deathstroke can work out a battle ahead of time for many possibilities and predict enemy movements and tactics after the battle has engaged by recalling and utilizing memorized mannerisms acquired through past experience on a moment's notice.

Hand-to-Hand Combat (Advanced):
Deathstroke trained in hand-to-hand combat and when he was in the Army, he proved himself to be one of their best fighters.. Later he received martial arts training in various styles. After mastering these martial arts he furthered his studies when he sought an assassin known as Natas to train him in the ways of Ninja and had studied assassination techniques. His physical prowess is so great that he has defeated Batman in hand to hand combat.

Swordsmanship:
Deathstroke is a highly trained swordsman; he is able to dual-wield a pair of katanas and to use them with deadly accuracy and an almost-superhuman speed.

Weakness

Missing Eye:
Deathstroke only has one eye, though he feels confident enough in himself to allow his opponents full knowledge of this weakness with his mask.

Human:
Even with all his abilities Deathstroke is still human and very much vulnerable to magic, energy, ballistic and weapon based attacks.

Personalty:
Deathstroke is a man who will do whatever he wants by whatever means he sees fit to use. unusually cruel to his enemies and harshly critical to his allies, it is sometimes hard to know which one you are. It takes some time, and a lot of abuse, but if you stick around him long enough you can sometimes get past his shell to know what he really is. This will also grant you his trust and protection more than others.

Bio:
Slade enlisted in the army at 16, lying about his age, and fought in the Vietnam war some years later. After volunteering for an experimental drug that was hoped to make soldiers more resistant to truth serums, he was changed in ways more than just that. After waking from the coma the drug induced, he found that it increased his mental capacity, strength, agility, stamina and durability. He tried to be reassigned into the army but was denied. after being denied he decided to go into hunting instead and quickly became a famous safari hunter, but he was also leading a double life as a highly sought after assassin/mercenary. He was not only the best at this job, but also hunted by many people who wanted him dead or information on his clientele.
An incident with his ex-wife, who was grieving the loss of their second son Joseph, that caused the loss of his eye led him to leave the safari business to focus on his mercenary work, and did this successfully taking up titles of Terminator and the now infamous Deathstroke. His success and ruthlessness warranted the attention of even the JLA who have on many occasions tried to put a stop to his endeavors with several close calls. This however was not the end of his troubles though, as he initially turned down an assignment given to him by HIVE to kill the Teen Titans. HIVE then turned to his first son Grant who took up the job in his father’s stead. This assignment proved too difficult for him and ended in Grant’s death which devastated Slade. Blaming the Titans for his son’s death he returned to HIVE and took up the job of killing the Titans, but now taking the assignment on a personal level his mission is not only to kill them, but to tear them down as heros.
After some time of observing the Titans and testing them with various hired teams, Slade started to make his move against the team. He showed them that while efficient against average criminals and metas they have glaring weaknesses that are easily taken advantage of. These weaknesses he not only exploited to defeat them in 5 on 1, but told them that it was not enough to best them in combat, leaving them battered and disappeared for some time. This led the team to take a closer look at their abilities and how they could have lost to a single combatant.
Slade spent the next few years leading the Titans on a drawn out and exhausting investigation, making sure to stay several steps ahead. Slade set up a confrontation with the Titans that they did not expect and were caught somewhat off guard by. The battle however took a turn against Slade and he was forced to withdraw for a time. Slade did not take this defeat lightly and took time to learn from what had happened in order to return stronger.

Personalty:
Strong, steadfast leader. He will always stand by his friends and team through the worst. He will never ask his team to do anything that will put them in extreme peril without him being there. He is quick to introduce himself to new meta humans, and is always willing to give them a chance.

Bio:
Dick Grayson lost his parents at a young age and was taken in by the millionaire Bruce Wayne. For some time he lived with him not knowing of Bruce's night job. After discovering where Bruce was going to at night and for prolonged periods of time he was taken in under the alias Robin.
For years Batman mentored Robin until he became skilled enough to go out on his own. Finding a good start in Jump City Robin found a few meta humans that he helped find a place in society through the formation of the Teen Titan’s. For many years the team fought to protect the city, and in many cases the world from the evils that wished to claim it. Among these villains one stood apart and seemed to ever vex Robin, Slade. In the encounters with Slade that followed Robin became more and more obsessed with the capture and understanding of Slade, but has never been able to accomplish either.
The team went up against Slade early on in their career and found that they were no match for his intellect and physical prowess. In each encounter he bested them without any trouble and in one fight left beat them and left them helpless. Robin took this encounter to heart and learned from it that they can not fight him alone any more. He spent the next few years keeping tabs on Slade’s movements and trying to make sense of his plan while his team gathered more allies to aid in the capture of Slade.
Now with a secret team of heros in reserve Robin decided to go all in on their next chance to capture Slade. The opportunity arose and Robin had everything set up and in place for the attack. While the fight did not go in their favor to start, Slade was even more ruthless than ever this time, their plan was a partial success. With the other heros they had assembled they were able to best him in battle, but he still managed to escape, destroying his HQ and much of the evidence that Robin was looking to retrieve. The absence of Slade caused many of the gangs and mobs to fight over the caches and strongholds that he had left behind. Robin after consulting with the JLA decided that the heros assembled would divided into teams and placed in areas of high criminal activity to aid the JLA in keeping peace.
Robin was not quite the same after their final brush with Slade and couldn’t quite shake the feeling that he was still watched even without being able to find any trace of him.
