@zellected I didn't explain it well before, but what I want you is to completely redo your Gift description.
Make it clearly state: What you are summoning (name, physical characteristics). What its capabilities are. How many of them you can summon at the same time.
Yes, you can summon more than one creature at level 1 but only 1 creature summon will have a real, tangible combat presence. Anything more is a distraction and more than 2 or 3 will have the endurance of Naruto clones. More than 10 will be just a smoke screen, too weak to even hurt the enemy.
To make an example, here's how I would redo your gift (you don't need to copy this, it's just an example):
Yami can summon half a dozen demons. They vary in shapes and sizes, but their shared characteristic is that they are incredibly grotesque to behold and are not larger than an adult human. Demons possess moderate speed and strength and their main form of attack are their claws and fangs and they can also walk on walls. If a demon dies it will take a day before Yami gathers enough energy to recreate it. If all six of them die then Yami can't use his gift for a day.
Or you can start with one powerful demon and add more with time. Or have one demon and keep buffing him. It's your choice, just be clear on what your power does.
Is it possible to start with the ability to summon two weaker than average monsters to summon? I had an idea for a character who has two familiars that act as scouts more than actual summons to face in combat.
Yeah, sure.
The most important thing is to clearly state how much and what kind of summons you have. Rule of thumb is that the more summons you have the less powerful will they be individually. You can even have a summon that is like a swarm of rats where each rat is weak but the whole group is dangerous. @zellected's is too open and thus difficult to balance.
@FernStone@ZiBoth of you are accepted. Glad to have you on board!
@zellectedYou can start with only one monster to summon. If it takes too much damage in combat you will feel exhausted and wouldn't be able to summon it again soon. The beast shares attribute with you. As you grow more powerful you can either improve the monster you already have or gain more monsters.
@ThirdHourIIIThe character is cool, but I want to clarify something about his gift. Teleportation is short range (like, up to 10m/30ft) and you can only use it once per 2-3 posts, depending on the pace of the action (like, posts in chase scene will usually take longer IC time, while CQC combat will probably take a second or two per post). As you get more more powerful you'll get more ports in a chain, but not an increased range. If you are fine with that, then you're accepted as well.
@FisticuffsYep, open until further notice. Feel free to drop a CS.
