We had hoped the enemy would duplicate himself, which is the fastest manner of training Delta. When that plan failed, we attempted to gain a sample, which self-destructed.

You must forgive Delta; he lacks the articulacy of his sister. As for that mission, we had intended to both gather information and improve Delta's hand-to-hand combat, which was successful. Echo was there as well, but to provide Delta with a way of escape.

Not on my person, sir, but I can obtain it rapidly. Phase 2 entails moving these generations further and tweaking their characteristics as much as we can without genetic modifications.

Hm... I would not mind the protection, while at the same time reserving them for special ops. Once they become older, they can leave the military and continue the experiment.

It would be overrided. What they dont know is how much power I actually have in this government. I allow things to continue on their current path for now, as they are staying within the guidelines. Should they even consider straying, I would know. And then they would know that I know. I know their every move. Sometimes even before they know themselves. I dont deal kindly with orders of any kind made to directly benefit only the leaders of a government.

Ah, the council. Thinking they know everything once again. I built this government from the ground up and yet they dont think I've planned for everything. I know they are corrupt. Power does that to weak people. You and I, though, we arent weak like them. They can try as they might, but legislation will prevent them from killing any of you in any circumstance. They arent some form of all ruling entity that can kill whomever they please, thats not democratic. They are merely figure-heads of a General Congress that seems to have over-inflated egos. They are only in place to make sure that i dont stray from my way, just as I do for them. They cant and wont hurt you, as long as I live...

Basically, even if they were to, per say, somehow get a hold of Delta, Echo, and the others for example,... the council would be dealt with before they could utter an order.

Sir... I do not know if you are aware, but the officers have, in general, determined that assuming your position is a death sentence. The council will dispose of any of us who they do not approve of.

People with natural powers... they arent as rare as you may think.. I know a few. I... I am one, myself. These are things you will need to know, leading the EDB. You will encounter great threats keeping the people safe... god level threats.
