A small town with no more than 400 people within it's borders. Your family and your friend's families have been situated in their homes for years and years. Not much change happens in Dixie. Most of our time consists of fishing, farming, going to school, and just trying not to die of boredom. But since its summer break, the real fun can begin- or can it?
A group of younger kids were down by the bridge, digging out a canal from the bayou so they could make themselves their own little private "pool" to hang out in when all of a sudden one of the kids picked out what appeared to be some human remains. Shocking and terrifying the younger kids ran to their older siblings to take a look at what they found just to make sure that it wasn't just their active imaginations. Turns out, it was a young woman's remains after all. The picture of her mangled body still engraved in their thoughts and dreams.
Dixie Inn's police force was not the ideal team to have on the case but they took quick initiative to try to find the reasoning behind the young woman's murder. Would this be the first of many? Did the murder have a motive? These questions were not just on the mind of the police force but also in the minds of the kids who originally found the body.
I guess this summer will have some excitement after all.

Thomas Dredger has been the town's mayor for many years. He has a very fair view of life, but often is considered a pushover in the eyes of his colleagues and many of the town residents. When the news of the first murder came about, Thomas was very distraught and feels at fault for such a crime happening in his town. He has been very open to support the Ramirez family, giving them money, advertisement, and a promise to solve the case of their beloved's murder. He also wants the town to remain in good standing with the rest of the state.
Craig Hamming has been Dixie's police chief for probably way too long than anyone would want. He probably should have retired long ago, and with new blood on the team, may be able to sometime in the near future if he would leave his stubbornness behind and do so. Craig doesn't always play by the rule book and does things his way even if there are easier and better ways to do things. He isn't phased by the murder and knows he'll solve it with no problems. When not on duty, he is usually at the bar sipping on a gin and smoking a cigar.
Nicole Ramirez is the owner of Nicky's Mexican Restaurant and the mother of the first victim: Olivia Ramirez. The lost of her oldest daughter has really put a huge damper on her life and also her business. With the mayor's help she has been able to keep her head afloat as she takes care of expenses and tries to bring her life to a sense of normality. Her husband and her had recently gotten a divorce, leaving Nicole alone with their five remaining children.
Olivia Ramirez is the first victim of The Alligator. She was a fun loving 25 year old woman who spent most of her time helping her mom out at the restaurant, and when she wasn't doing that she had her head in a book. She was a very clever and sweet girl, who wouldn't cause harm to anyone. It was definitely a shock to the town to hear Olivia was the victim of such grisly murder. Her body was found in the muck in Lafayette Bayou by a group of kids playing. A large chunk of her skin from her upper thigh was removed by what appears to be human.
Investigation is still being done.
No real details of the murderer have been released yet.
History: Growing up in the neighboring city, Ivy never once had dreams outside her quiet life. Her father humbly made a living as a door to door salesman, and her mother spent her time raising Ivy and her several siblings. It wasn't until Ivy was sixteen years old that she met the man she would at one time call her husband, her love. He was different than most boys, he had goals, ambitions, and plans. Despite her mother's warnings, the two would sneak away to their own hiding place and talk to one another until the sun went down and rose the next day. When he smiled, it gave her heart a reason to beat. When he spoke, her ears only had reason to listen to his voice. When he held her, she knew not what a life without him was.
If you couldn't guess, it wasn't long before the two were wed. Alas Ivy's husband did not see how life in their current town could give them a better chance. Sure, he was happy here with his bride, but he wanted more for them. He wanted more. Within months, the two were packed up and in Otropolis. Hand in hand, they looked upon their new home and wept. Dreams came true here, their life together started here. It wasn't long before Ivy was swept into the arms of an older gentleman wearing a fedora, "Ivy, this is my father." Ulric said in his soft tongue, "He left my mother many years ago to come to Otropolis searching for a better life, and he really has found it. Trust me my love, we have a real life here." Ivy's petite body was put down as she stared into the spitting image of her own husband. How could a man leave his wife for this dirty place? She wondered, concerned and puzzled all at one time. She didn't say much about the matter, just nodded and followed her husband's lead her slender hand once again wrapped tightly around his.
Years passed as the family name became larger, Ivy's first son; Jonas was born. She was obsessed with the small boy, giving him everything he could ask for, but also giving him a strict guidance as not to spoil him. It was clear he was his father's son, and as Jonas grew, the two would often be seen leaving early in the morning and never coming back. It was just a bond Ivy could never obtain; a relation between father and son. However, she knew he was in good hands, and didn't think much of it. It wasn't until 18 years later at the funeral of her only son that everything that they were doing to this city came into full swing. This time was very hard on them all, but it was the hardest on their marriage. Ulric was sad to see his wife go, but even more angry to eventually find out that she was now apart of the Corvi family. The two have been in contact since, but her loyalty has been changed ever since the incident.

You guys working together and creating a family is a great idea! I love seeing people work together and it will be helpful for the story line if you guys have some underlying personal plots.
I'm personally going to make a teenage girl- I might take on the murderer role if no one wants it as well.
Also I'm open for if anyone wants to be a younger sibling of mine c:
That being said, I am gonna start working out some kinks for the ooc and have it up either later tonight or tomorrow!
