“We’ve really got to stop meeting like this, teach.”

In one nonspecific high school in Japan, a short teenager had her feet up on her desk, chair stretching back as far as it could. She was short, dark skinned, wearing the boy’s school uniform, and covered with dirt and bruises.

“Takahashi-san, get your feet off the desk. And yes, we do have to stop meeting like this.” The teacher looked at his student, concern and a small amount of anger in his eyes. “So – when is it going to stop? This is our third meeting this year and you are no closer to-”

“It wasn’t my fault this time, teach.” Jin put her feet down and leaned forward, adamant. “There were four of them this time, they ambushed me on the club practice grounds. I was actually gonna sign up for a club! I swear – look!” Without waiting, she dug into her leather school bag and dug up a torn piece of paper with “Club Application” written on it. “See?”

The teacher took the paper and hummed thoughtfully.

“Look, they tried. But it’s not my fault I’m a better fighter, okay? It’s so damn stupid what they wanted me for, too. Said that Honei-san had been smiling at me too often, and that I had to ‘know my place’ or some shit, before I stole him away. One, who cares that hard about some guy, and two, no one smiles at me. He was probably just staring for no reason. I told them that, they still tried to maul me. So I fought. And I won.” She sniffed, proud despite the trouble she was in. “You should see what those bitches look like.”

“Watch your language.” The teacher sighed softly. “Give me their names. I can help you.”

“Nah.” Jin muttered softly. “It won’t work, just like last time. I’ll get punished and they’ll get off because their families are rich and old.”

“Takahashi-san - ”

“Just.. leave it. Give me my punishment so I can go.”

There was silence for several moments.

“No punishment this time, Jin-chan. Just… clean up and go home.” The teacher was obviously concerned. “You know, if you didn’t have some of the highest grades in the school, they would have expelled you by now.”

“Yeah, I know. Sucks for them. Bye teach.” Jin rose up with a wince and a sigh, heading toward the nurse’s office. As she was on the way, a great glowing ring opened up beneath her feet. Before she could react, she was tumbling down and down, to an unknown fate.
Devika hummed as she cooked. She usually did, a nameless cheery tune that usually sprung to her mind. She gave the two burgers one last flip, then turned off the stove. She piled two plates with bun and toppings, then slid the two burgers on. After topping them with cheese, she started to go to Roxy’s workout area, where she could hear the other woman working out.

Meanwhile, Roxy’s phone would get a text. It was one of the long time customers she had messaged. “Hey Rox. I think I sucked a diaper or something into my exhaust pipe – bike is smoking and I can’t figure out why. I’m coming over. -J”

"Lone Assassin and Cub"

That's all I could come up with.
@Zoey Boey
Time: ???
Location: Outside the auditorium
Interaction: June

Jin followed the older woman through the bustling crowd, trying to keep from jostling into other students. The woman prattled on and on about how the school was better than other places where they were "mean". Jin shook her head; they weren't buying it. They'd met "mean" and doubted this clean and organized place would have anything that could really bother them.

Once they hit the auditorium doors, Jin looked back as the woman lied to her face. It wasn't even a good lie; she fumbled it. So - maybe she wasn't all sunshine and roses.

"June, huh? I'm Jin. Thanks for taking me here, now I've gotta find the-"

Suddenly, Jin could hear talking at a distance. They turned around through the same door they'd entered, only to hear someone giving a speech in the middle of the commons. "I thought the speech would be in the auditorium? Shit." Jin looked off, obviously uncomfortable. "Sorry. For making you take me all this way." And then they turned around and fled back into the crowd, deeply embarrassed.

@Zoey Boey Yeah, I might have to go with that. Are you ok with me posting tomorrow?
Kijani was also worried about Obi Wan. Sure, he seemed capable, but running around alone surrounded by enemies seemed like a bad idea. But there was nothing to be done - by the time she was ready to object, Obi Wan was off and running. He was fast for an old fellow.

When Adam took charge, Kijani was a little more than surprised. But it was good. She didn't like being in charge all of the time, despite her whole life being mostly about that. It was good to relax the reins.

"Let's go, then."

They made their way out of the Millennium Falcon, and into the eerie halls of the space station. Everything seemed massive and cold, utterly industrial. Would it kill them to have some decoration? Still, she kept her mouth shut. She may have looked the part now, but her usual speaking voice would be a dead giveaway that the person in the suit wasn't supposed to be there. So, for now, she simply followed Adam's lead. Maybe there would be some sign to point them toward the control panel.
SO I realized I goofed up and I'm not sure how to solve it. I thought the speech was going to be indoors but apparently it's not. Do I just have Jin turn around? Would there be anything for them in the auditorium? Help me. >_<;
Would she be friendly with a local enthusiast rider who fixes computers?
Jinny sat on top of a pillow, because she was a bit too short to sit properly at the table. She listened without a word, to her new uncle talk about her choices. For a while, she just picked at her eggs, not at all hungry but knowing that for some reason, grown-ups always wanted her to finish her plate.

“Daddy said I was going to school this year.” She said softly, taking a sip of her milk. “He said it was very important that I go and learn things and make friends.” She had just left preschool that very summer. Slade would find that she was very well prepared for kindergarten, perhaps even one grade up. She could write, she could do math, she could read. Sort of, anyway.

“I don’t like reading. It makes my eyes hurt. But I like numbers. Numbers are fun!” She drank some of her milk and continued. “So if it’s very important, I would like to go to school.”

Now for option two. “I want to learn to be strong, too. I want to make sure no one can hurt me.” There was a blankness creeping into her eyes as she spoke. “Never, ever again. I don’t know if I can make big stuff fly, but I want to learn everything.” She stared at Slade across the table. “Everything.” Idly, she poked her fingertip with the tines of her fork. “I don’t want to hurt them.” Was it just yesterday that she had tried to stab him? “But if I have to, then I will hurt them.” Slade was right, there was a large part of Jinny’s childishness that had been erased.

“...maybe if I had been strong too, then...” But not all of it. Slow tears started to slip down the child’s face. “I could have helped, if I was strong.”

“Maybe things would have been different.” Or she would more likely have died right alongside her parents. Obviously though, she was convinced of the fact that her not being able to fight was the reason they were gone. Definitely a child’s reasoning.
