@Landaus Five-One on second thought, I can't join. But good luck!
I think I'll go for the Chariot.
@LetMeDoStuff Which Arcana are left?
Color me interested.
Awesome. Looking forward to it.

I may or may not have a new job soon.
Jin crunched into the woods, pushing aside tree branches and bushes as she did so. There was someone talking behind her, but she figured it was more arguing. Easy to ignore.

About 5 minutes of determined trampling into the forest, she realized she'd made a mistake. She was not some floaty mori girl in tune with nature and things like that. No, she was an urban girl, born for concrete and tall buildings, and neatly manicured bushes and trees. She turned around to go back, and realized that she didn't know exactly where she was. All of the trees looked the same, and there wasn't even a bird's nest or a squirrel to show her where she had been.

"Damn. Ain't these places supposed to be full of life or something?" She turned again. Forest in front. Forest behind. A note of fear twisted her stomach, but she batted it down. No time to be scared in the middle of the day. Removing a pencil from her bag, she stuck it into the loamy soil. The yellow made is a beacon among the brown and green.

"Good." She started off again after picking a direction. A minute later, she was at the pencil again. She tried again, in a different direction, and soon heard voices. Finally, a way out! She rushed toward them, smiling. "Hey! Civilization..." But it was the same crowd. Now probably all staring at her like she was insane.

"Um." She jerked her thumb back at the trees.

"There's something wrong with the forest. Ain't no bears or boars or deer or any shit."
Kijani's head spun. So the impossible was true. Thank the stars, her father was alive! She knelt down in the suit, nearly throwing her helmet to the ground in her haste.

"Father... father, it's me, it's Kijani!" She couldn't help the tears that sprung to her eyes as she clung to her father's shirt. Suddenly, her hands were shaking. "Father, we're here to rescue you. Don't ask how we got here, it's kind of a long story, and we don't have time." She wondered what the Empire had done to him. She had never seen him so cowed before.

"Come on. Please get up. We have to go, we don't have much time."
I'm glad your job is relaxing the overtime thing. I'm sure that's got to be pretty draining.
JInny let out another very soft, probably worrying groan as she was picked up. One of her hands was still on her nose, but there was still a distinct smear of red on the side of it. She didn't say anything as he spoke to her, just leaned against him with her face in her hands. The light hurt. The cold air in the room hurt. Slade's voice hurt - just a bit, as he was speaking quietly, but it still bothered her.

"...everything hurts. And blood tastes like pennies." Was all she could manage to say, before she was placed on the table. As the scanners turned on, she looked apprehensively at all of the machines. "What does this do?"

The machines would scan for a bit, showing that the girl had in fact torn a vessel in her nose. It would also show something else if it was hooked up to her head. The indication of something akin to a migraine. It seems she had overdone it. It would not be something her mother would have ever mentioned. Mostly because by the time they had met, she had long mastered her power, and knew where her limits were. Jinny did not.

There was worry on the child's face. Her uncle was not panicking, so she felt a bit calmer than she would. Still, her head was starting to pound like someone was trying to nail rocks inside of it. "I don't feel good, Uncle Slade."
From what I've heard, silently freaking out when the kid is injured/ sick is a parent thing that they learn. I will try to post later today.
