Maybe 2 weeks? Or a month? That way we could handle the situation with Roxy's dad and meet Devika's parents.
I think another skip would be good. By then, Devika should be safe to travel.

Devika looked over her shoulder, back at Roxy. "Well, you'll get used to it as you'll get used to me." She smiled, her dimples clearly showing. "Kindness is free in my book. No strings attached."
And with that, Devika retreated into her own room for a while. The first thing she did was meditate, sitting down on the floor and crossing her legs. She had to rid herself of Roxy's anger. What was causing it? She wanted to know so desperately who that unwanted guest had been, but she had a feeling asking Roxy directly would just lead to the woman stonewalling her.
After about half an hour, and one empty plate later, she came back down. She washed her plate, then went to find Roxy.
And with that, Devika retreated into her own room for a while. The first thing she did was meditate, sitting down on the floor and crossing her legs. She had to rid herself of Roxy's anger. Kijani paled as the man - machine - whatever, raised a wicked looking red lightsaber. Adam was in trouble. She knew that. She could see fear in his face, and she was just as afraid. She could feel it quelling up in her, threatening to overwhelm her. It was already rooting her to the spot.
"No-" Her voice came out in a hoarse whisper. She could see it then, suddenly, in the back of her mind. Playing out like a film. Adam getting carved down like butter. His eyes going blank. Then this person coming for her, and her father, and -
"NO!" She didn't know why, or how. She wouldn't be able to replicate it later. But she stretched her hands out and pushed, with everything she had in her, and then some.
"No-" Her voice came out in a hoarse whisper. She could see it then, suddenly, in the back of her mind. Playing out like a film. Adam getting carved down like butter. His eyes going blank. Then this person coming for her, and her father, and -

Kijani ran along with Adam, heart pounding. She was actually elated when the troopers stopped. Maybe they had to regroup and figure out a new plan? She wanted to stop to breathe, but Adam was still moving. So did she. The armor was beginning to chafe.
Finally, they slowed. Kijani was panting by the time they did. She sighed, and when Adam spoke, she barely managed a reply.
"Maybe they have to... regroup or something. Or maybe they're just as tired as we are?"

"...what... what is that noise?" She was whispering, without knowing why.
