It’s my birthday today! I’m officially an older adult. It feels like Jude Law becoming Michael Gambdon overnight, and still being just as magical.

Come to think of it, the last thing Suzi remembered was her room. She had been playing a game, too. Some memories flooded back to her, and again, she started thinking about how Aki-senpai had played with the idea that they were trapped in a horror video game. She was about to look at the ground after thanking her new friend, but a large male figure begean descending from the sky.

He looked like something from the American comics that classmate had showed her before class once. They usually had these men with over articulated strong builds. They seemed frightening in a way. She was not particularly interested in the animation style, but seeing the angelic being made those comics seem all the more intimidating.

He held a human in his arm, and before ascending into the sky, he set her down. She seemed unharmed. Suzi looked towards Kudamon, but suddenly, he was gone, back into her expanse collar. She touched it gently with a determined frown on her face. She felt uneasy, but also relieved. It was all so mysterious. And despite all, she felt a little relief that another person was part of the group. They would need all the help they could get.

She drew in a breath before speaking to Miss Wilems, “We had to battle a monster,” she began, skipping an introduction. She thought of how to describe the demon-like entity, but decided to skip to the main point, “It… turned out to be these two,” she mostioned towards Clockmon and Meramon. “It was like they were possessed or something,” her mind shuffled through different entities she had learned about from school. It made her feel a little uneasy to think this way, but she knew there had to be an answer to all of this. And, she wanted to find the truth… even if it was a horror video game. “Except, the demon was some,” she paused and remembered what the voice had said, “computer virus,” she finally said with certainty. “I am Takada Suzuki,” she made a small bow.

As the evening quieted and he left Sir Mathias with his on, Prince Felix thought other than going to his guest room. If he did, it would only be out of convenience and conviction. There were other things he could do, but for the evening, he thought it better not to force his timing. He also felt a sense of outward exhaustion. He thought to blame the little amount of wine he had but knew better. There many other things on his mind. As much as these banquets delighted in the favors of everyone attending, he felt at once very at odds with the entire event — especially after his conversation with the knight. For the present moment, now anyways, he wished to remove his mask and allow himself some sort of rest.

Prince Felix imagined his way to his guest room. He thought upon entering and feigning interest in the decor with it, he would find himself restless, once settled. There would still be much going in his thoughts. He would replay certain events of the evening. They reworked and analyzed conversations. And finally, they would most likely settle on the dance, he had had with his beloved Lady Thea. The shadows of her eyes had dared not look at his when she departed him, and something about this would cause him to re-address every angle of the dance.

There were things he could have done differently. There were things he could have said differently. There was a certain number of steps he could have taken but did not. The prince might let out a small sigh. Perhaps, even it would be quiet against the dark glow of the guest room. It would then proceed to linger in a lonely manner and without much of anything vanished into a simple, normal breath. He thought then, that he would stand from the bed after having tried to make himself comfortable, turn on a light, and make his way to the writing desk.

He would then pull a wooden chair and take his seat. His arms would rest on the ornate desk, and his eyes would concentrate forward. He would think to take a scrap of paper and scribble a few words of nothing or perhaps romantic poetry for the Lady in hopes of easing the perpetual tension. However, he would probably stop himself. There would, as he knew, be too many uncertainties floating around in her behavior, and while seeming like a good gesture, he would wonder if a thoughtfully written letter would be a more assertive and preferred.

His hand would touch the pen and loose pieces of complimentary paper, as it always did, while he would think about his opening. And then, slowly, his hand, while holding the pen, would begin to move the ink across the paper. Unfortunately, as quickly as the words would come, they would quickly disappear from his mind, and his paper would be, he continued to imagine, left with an unfinished sentence of empty romance. He would stare at the few markings, written in royal cursive and perhaps discard the entire thing entirely.

This imagined situation perturbed him, and the prince thought to go to the tavern for another drink. He hated to foresee himself to be feeling such a sense of emptiness, but he hastily understood the tavern to be an excellent place for guests to continue their camaraderie of the party’s aftermath. He had little patience for endearing such an event and made even with the fact that he would have to endure the pains of whatever nothingness lay ahead of him. Like the rain, the pain will not last. He thought to himself after finding himself at his door, alas.

His hand gently turning the doorknob, but something seemed distant upon continuing to open the door. It felt much different than he had anticipated. Something was disarray. He felt alarmed but not too alarmed. It was an out-of-place feeling, as if he was not alone. He hesitated upon entering and thought to remove himself from the situation and find a servant to handle whatever was happening. However, he thought his caution was a bit much and with his hand on his hilt, ready for whatever it was, he entered the room.

“My lady,” the prince mouthed automatically. His hand was still nestled over the hilt. Despite her being the very thing on his mind, he had a hard time relaxing his hand. The surprise was less than a savory present for him to appreciate with gratitude. He closed the door behind him with he same kind grace he has used to open it. “You ought not be here.” She looked horridly tragic and beautiful all at once.

As Louisa speaking forward, charging into the direction of the cries, Seraphima hesitated. She looked around, observing the tainted darkness around her. She wanted to pull forward, as the screams muffled their echoes through the labyrinth, but something stopped her for a brief moment, as if a tap on the shoulder caused her to turn around. The sewers were large, and she had the desire to go in the opposite direction of Louisa, as if there may be something hidden. Instead, she followed Louisa at a moderate pace, ready for any counterattack from the creature.

"Key to... my heart?" Aurora repeated aloud in her usual quiet voice. Her head shook, and she opened the door for both Slick and Leaf. A little laugh escaped he as she continued the joke with Caelan. "There is not password," her eyes closed and darkness ensued. No longer could she see the faint glows of the two outside the room. "It was a trick question. I am glad you have been minding," she jested. The door opened all the way, and for good measure, she scanned the outside of the room, once, searching for any signs of magic. "Welcome back. I am glad you both are in one piece. Please, come in."

Aurora had been meditating her prayers while Caelan and Sophie interacted with each other. There was not much she could do for them while they stilled themselves inside the inn. To them, she thought herself to be old and too wise for their liking to cause much entertainment for the youth of a human. Her business had never been in entertaining… even with ideas or thoughts, she was simply taught to engage with the truth and nothing else.

As she repeated a few differing mantras quietly in her mind, a tune began humming into her concentration. It was some noise with a strange rhythm. The beats were fast and direct. The impulsive nature turned Aurora’s attention, almost hurting her sensitive ears. It was the sound of a male voice, and Oh! Caelan and Sophie were singing to this sound together. The elf listened to them, allowing the therapeutic ease of their natures join together. For several seconds, their harmony sounded healthy, strong and in union. It was enjoyable to hear. However, as the song came to an end, the fear and hesitation crept back into their voices — although, there was something healed between their two different tones now.

“I am well, thank you for inquiring,” Aurora spoke. Her gentle nature kept her guard, between even the humans and her core. She wished to be more nurturing, but she found the humans needed fo find their independence outside of her own. They were finding within each other, and rightfully so, she saw such an intricate design that different between humans and other creatures. She thought to tell them this, but she had thoughts against provoking the two’s innocent connection.

“I am simply praying. It is what I have been called to do. It is my purpose,” she quieted herself as she let out a breath of silent prayer. And with a whisk of whimsical nature, having caught their attention so suddenly, she continued “I am happy you two are finding good cheer, again. If there is anything I can do to further assist you, please, allow me to help.” With her hands clasped in her lap, she allowed the moment to pass, but it was shaken by the sound of voices conspiring and a knock on the door.

“It is Slick and Lead, thank goodness they have come back.” A polite smile graced her lips. She stood from her place and walked towards the door. She kept the bolt on the door as she opened it and whispered in a serious tone, “What is the password?” Rhe whiteness of her cloak and hair could be seen through the crack opening.
