Scarleth "Ruby Red" Pevensey

Scarleth grinned when One Arm followed her request. She had half expected the man to make some comment about her body, and if he had, she wouldn't have had an issue with cutting his throat to maintain the silence. When fighting the shadows, it helps to play by their rules. Running around and screaming only draws out attention, the last thing that the ragtag crew of criminals needed. As Jesse began cracking into the personnel logs, Scarleth pointed up, aiming to divert his attention for a moment. If he had half a brain, which she hoped he did, he'd realize her warning.

As far as Scarleth was concerned, they weren't alone. The hostiles could be hidden anywhere, perhaps even with camouflaging technology. She'd know, after all. Image refractors helped her eliminate her targets on more than one occasion. However, Jesse's hand on her shoulder caused the assassin to tense up. Had she not summoned him over, she likely would have flipped him over her head, and crushed his skull into the ground.

He'd look much better with just one arm, Scarleth thought to herself. She couldn't deny that the man was aesthetically pleasing. Now if only he'd show some competency and get the results they needed.

Her eyes scanning over the personnel records, Scarleth nodded curtly. Ancient artifacts never turned out to be what you thought they were. An ancestor of hers had nearly been killed over one on Earth, one of the few surviving records about the Pevensie family, or as they were known back then, the Ashworths. Plastering on a fake smile in thanks of One Arm, she touched his neck lightly.

Confident that he would understand her proposal, and even more confident that he'd comply that evening, Scarleth stepped away from the terminal. Putting her fingers on her lips, she whistled once. Getting the attention of everyone would be the quickest that way, as well as the least likely way to be noticed. They didn't have any sort of vibration signal to group up, so it'd have to do. Scarleth then settled to wait patiently for the others to join her and Jesse. She figured that they'd find the scientists in the cave, likely gone delirious over the artifact.

It'd be a normal day.
Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. :/ Well I'm okay with waiting until you can post, unless you want to try to post by mobile?
@Sodium @Jedly @sMoKe @alexfangtalon

Hey guys! :) Blue is coming home tomorrow, so remember you need to get your posts in by Monday. If you've already posted for this System Update, you are good to go. If not, need to get those in!
Will update once @samreaper and @Fabricant451 post. :)

The update will also introduce our new receptionist, who'll be hired on the spot.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Justice Memorial; Room 2319

Cecily glanced up from her tears, seeing Tank waltz back inside of the room. The look of apathy on his face appalled her. He'd only been on the force for a few weeks, but Cecily had managed to figure out that Tank didn't think with his head. He thought with his stomach. Moving quickly from denial to anger, Cecily curled her fingers into a fist, and decked Tank across the face.

"You ass!" Cecily seethed, pulling her hand back for another punch. She hit the man again, and then watched as he left, without so much as an apology for what his actions caused. Having never punched someone beyond her brother in her life, Cecily shook out her hand, feeling the sharp sting across her knuckles. More tears continued to cascade down her face, but she knew what she had to do.

Quietly borrowing Gregory's phone from him, Cecily cross-examined the number Caesar had called her from. She'd seen enough bugs in the room, and at least, Gregory's phone was guaranteed to be clean. Her car was back at the coroner's office, meaning she'd have to get a ride back with Gregory, get a cab, or somehow get a lift from Caesar. Typing out a text, Cecily sent the following to Caesar:

Justice Memorial Hospital. Need a lift. Boss was murdered.

Handing the phone back to Gregory, Cecily wiped her eyes, staring at the lifeless body of Wallace. With her own phone, she called it in. With the coroner down, Cecily considered sending a text to her friend Bonnie. They both worked at the Coroner's Office, after all, but Cecily decided against it. Whatever was going on, she didn't want to drag her friend into it. She doubted that the hospital staff knew much of what was going on as well, but as far as she was aware, one of the nurses likely was put up to this. Either that, or someone who signed in as a visitor.

Turning to one of the nurses, Cecily took a breath to compose herself. "I need personnel records, the visitor's log, a detailed listing of each and every person who entered this room, and security footage," Cecily instructed. "We'll also need to interview the Dean of Medicine about this. No one is to touch a thing in this room without proper clearance, understood?"

Grabbing a pair of latex gloves from one of the drawers, Cecily slipped them on. She went through the same process as always with her phone, recording the scene through a video, and then photographing everything she could. She used a makeshift scale in order to compare the photos, allowing Gregory to do his detective work, while she ensured none of the evidence was missed.

"When you bag and tag today, search people as they leave," Cecily advised. "Don't want another fuck up like with the gun, right?"
Gotcha. :) I'll get working on a Cecily post then.
Lady A, since I've hit day 5 on my counter should I post again for Cecily or wait for a Gregory post?
@fluorescent She looks good! :) Feel free to move her over to the CS tab. You can bring her into the Office to drop off her resume, and I'll pull some strings to have her hired super quickly to replace Rose. ;)
