@Witch Cat: Day 5

@BlueSky44: You still thinking of making a character?
@Nallore Whatever. :P

Jack Hudson

Location: Newnan Building E - Apartment E2

Jack nodded at Miss Sally and grabbed his tuxedo, smiling at her before heading into the bathroom. He slipped inside shortly after Tiffany and Sana arrived, throwing a brief wave at them as he did. Entering the bathroom, Jack closed the door, and quickly stripped. He had never been one to wear tuxes before. The last time he could think of would have been his high school prom, and that was back in the nineties. Putting on the tux carefully, Jack paused for a moment with the tie, straining his memory as to how to do one.

Shrugging a bit, Jack carefully put it around his neck. He paused for a moment, before brightening into a grin. His mother had taught him a little song to remember, and a moment later, it came to him. "Once around the tree, the fox chased the rabbit...Twice around the tree the little rabbit fled with the quick gray fox close behind." He wrapped the tie ends around each other twice, and then pushed the blade of the tie under the neck loop. Tapping his foot, Jack struggled to remember the next line.

"Shoot...Right. With a giant leap, the little rabbit cleahed the top of a big round log," Jack continued, and then pulled down on the blade, finishing up with his tie. Glancing in the mirror at Miss Sally's, he adjusted the tie as best as he could. The knot wasn't half bad, as far as Jack could tell, and he shot himself a goofy grin in the mirror.

"Go get 'em, tigah," Jack said, flashing finger guns at himself. Chuckling, he then carefully folded up his normal clothes and tucked them under his arm, coming out of the bathroom. Waving a bit at Miss Sally, he did a little spin. "What d'you think?"

Beatrice Decker

Location: Newnan Building 4 - Repair Shop ---> Heading to the Rec Center Via Lagrange Street

Beatrice could tell Riley's decision without her having to vocalize it. Onto look elsewhere for a source of music for the wedding. For a moment, Beatrice wondered whether or not they could simply go around Newnan, interrogating everyone who played an instrument and rope them into the performance. As far as Beatrice was aware, however, that list only included Riley. However, Ryan's comment about Sana's legs brought the smallest hint of a smile to Beatrice's face.

While it was practically asking for Dick to come and beat him up, Beatrice found Ryan's comment hilarious. She nodded at the men in the repair shop as she followed Riley out, her hands in her pockets. The rec center hadn't been used much lately, mostly due to the cold. "Does anyone else in Newnan play an instrument?" Beatrice asked skeptically, thankful for her gloves as they left the relative warmth of the repair shop.

However, Beatrice soon regretted her decision to assist Riley today. While she was good friends with Ryan, she couldn't stand Chloe. Her face wrinkled slightly with distaste. She knew what people had done to survive Justice, and for that, she could respect Ryan. But drug addicts left a foul taste in Beatrice's mouth. They reminded her too much of the parents who abandoned her on the streets.

Standing a few paces behind Riley, Beatrice nodded at Ryan and Chloe, her face composed for the most part. She was half tempted to go to the rec center ahead of Riley, just to avoid Chloe's company.

Chloe Ridgeway

Location: Outside Building 1, Legrange Street

A flash of blonde hair caught her eye as Tiffany left the infirmary, heading down the street in the direction of Miss Sally's. Chloe didn't restrain herself from yet another eye roll, missing the days when things were simpler. She laughed bitterly to herself at the realization that she almost missed prison, in comparison to this life of walkers and judgmental assholes. And she knew that Tiffany's boy toy might not have made it without the extra medic during the trip to Newnan. It was irony, pure and simple, how much the lawyer disliked her in Chloe's mind.

"Oh, fuck o--" Chloe began, but turning as she saw it was Ryan, rather than some random man in Newnan, her face brightened into a smile. While she didn't feel an inkling of sexual attraction to the man, she felt a certain kinship with him. It was easy to fall into a friendship with him. "You got something for me?"

Her jaw dropped slightly as he handed her the cigarettes. Smokes were hard as hell to come by in the apocalyptic world they inhabited, so much so that she looked back fondly on the days where all you had to do for a pack of smokes was blow a guard. She stared at them slightly in disbelief, before pocketing all but one of them as securely as she could, as if they were as precious and rare as diamonds.

"Give me a light?" she asked, having kept her cigarette lighter in her room for a while. Cigarettes weren't her drug of choice by any means, but they were definitely a fantastic start to a somewhat shitty day. "You really weren't fucking around when you said you had the luck of the Irish," she chuckled. However, before she could add anything else she was wrapped into a hug by her twin sister, Riley.

"Just being reminded of life's little miracles," Chloe responded to her sister, removing the cigarette from her lips. Setting Riley's hair on fire wasn't how she intended the day to go. As she eyed Beatrice behind her sister, she shot a bit of a questioning glance at Riley. Neither of the Ridgeway sisters got along very well with her. "Shouldn't you be getting set up for the wedding?"
Getting a post up now. ^^ Slightly tipsy so if some bits of it are slightly weird, my apologies. :P
I'll see about joining this ^^ I think I have time in my schedule for it.

Location: the Wyndham Estate ---> Crypt Townhouse; near the Strand, London

Virginia frowned ever so slightly. It seemed incredibly shortsighted to her that no one would be able to glimpse the meanings of dreams. There were such wonderful and mysterious talents that could be learned--surely there must be one to aid in this situation? Those dreams were some terrible prophecies, Virginia was quite sure of it. She fell so wrapped in her own thoughts that she barely nodded in confirmation at Millicent as to their rendez-vous an hour prior to Almack's.

And by the time that Virginia found herself once again, she was in the carriage headed back to the townhouse. She frowned again, picking at her strands of hair. She glanced out the windows of the carriage, attempting to recall how she had left the Wyndham Estate--ah, yes, Millicent had escorted her outside of the estate. It would be troubling to some to become so lost in thought, but it was relatively common for Virginia. It was a dreamy absence that she had in common with her dear mother.

"To the townhouse, please," Virginia instructed her driver. Word of the day's events had already been sent on to Alfred, and Virginia knew that her butler likely would already have some proper attire assembled for her. She crinkled her nose, the way an ordinary person would at the thought of death and poison and treachery, when she thought of the events of the Season and their etiquette. The Crypts never did quite enjoy those social events.

She shuddered for a moment, recalling a distant friend of the family. The woman, Deborah, would wear the brightest pink and cling to any man of significant fortune that she could find. She had left such a distaste in the mouth of the Crypt family, that Debbie.

Nora Kingston

Location: Garden City - Maratos Building at No.6 Walda Pasha

Nora nodded, stepping over to the window with the clerk. She peered out as if it would help her to ascertain the meaning of the sirens, but it was a fruitless effort. She sighed ever so slightly as the clerk came up with nothing to explain the meaning of the sirens. However, as he addressed her by the courtesy title, Nora did frown ever so slightly.

"Miss will do just fine," Nora instructed. "The circumstances of my birth should not merit such a title." It was rare that she explained her cynical nature as to the entire peerage system, but this evening was a rarity in general. She enjoyed the relative escape from titles that Cairo provided, but there were always those who sniffed out the earldom in the Kingston family, and then began to address her differently. Perhaps it was an attitude inherited from her nurse as a young child, who cared for her when she was nearly dead--the same nurse who spoke Gaelic to her, teaching Nora the language as well as values.

However, she was concerned for the safety of the Lady Munn. Yet what was she to do? If she were to leave the safety of the Maratos Building, she would merely invite danger upon herself as well. It would perhaps be better for her to stay where she was, and wait for the morning to make inquiries as to the safety of Lady Munn. She stepped away from the window, lost in her thoughts, as she took up her cigarette and light it. Taking in a long drag, Nora glanced back at the night clerk.

"Thank you," she said, nodding her head. While the information he had for her was slight, it was information nonetheless.
@Nallore Spoilers. :P

Closer and closer, my dears, you are coming closer and closer to the first bit of the puzzle of Coventry. Allow me to tell you a little bit about the history of our fair city. There is a far more famous Coventry, located in England. Yet if our town's true story was to be known, then that tale of treachery and German bombs would seem to hardly matter. There is a darker story that dominates Coventry, on this day especially...Do you know that December 28th is the unluckiest day of the year, my dears? There's a reason for that.

In the lobby of the hotel, the gentleman with the suit and glasses will smile pleasantly back at Eudora. It is the same man she ran into outside, only he wasn't one of the agents who visited her shop in New Orleans. They belong to the same organization, but this agent is entirely oblivious as to who she is. "I don't believe we've had the pleasah," the man replies, sticking out a hand. "Did you need somethin'?" He smiles at Eudora a bit uneasily, but there is no recognition in his eyes. The only thing that is apparent is the thick Boston accent.

But at the front desk, Andromeda nods a bit, glancing at the photograph. It does look exactly like Valeska, and she frowns, as if this hasn't been the first time to see a coincidence like this. "It dates to around 1924," Andromeda explained, "give or take a few years. I'm not sure who took this, or where, to be honest..." She paused for a moment, strumming her fingers on the desk. "It's possible we could figure out the photographer from the style, I've got my private collection up on the fifth." Andromeda then reached under her desk, and fished out a master key. She tossed it to Seraphina, and nodded at her. "Keep it--and the photograph, too."

When Liam scans through the numbers, he'll notice that it's really just the same number. Just one person has been calling Aloise without response. The number is 011 44 788 123 4567, which Liam will recognize as a caller from England. He may suspect that the number belongs to Jade Cornish, the British devil-slayer who left the United States after the Altsoba massacre, but it isn't certain. Jade hasn't been in contact with Liam himself. The only way to know for sure who that number belongs to is to call it. Aloise's still in the shower, but she's an ex-marine. She won't be in there much longer.

Meanwhile, up on the seventh floor of the hotel, Emmie and Alex are lurking about. Neither of them has made an attempt yet to access the attic, but Alex is swaying back and forth. He's talking deliriously and stuttering at the same time somehow, going off about the boy he saw. But a moment later, he falls to the ground, staining the floor with blood. A bullet has imbedded itself in his chest, and from the relative silence of the shot, there was a silencer on the gun. When Emmie looks for the shooter, she won't see anyone--but she will notice a dumbwaiter behind her.
