Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

@Muttonhawk I guess poohrennialism doesn't go hand in hand with nihilism :C

Pooh is always watching.

Don't let him catch you...

...or he'll throw the earth into deep space to punish us.

I did a thing! Namely details on Sweethearts once I spend another Might point on them. It's way long, again, and honestly does not affect anyone yet. Eventually they might be a useful-ish resource, though.

I kinda want one as a pet. I like 'em.

Their presence'll be a bit dangerous if their narcotic effect doesn't have any physiological drawbacks (apart from wanting to go do it again). The reason I say this is because there'll be a competitive edge to any population on sweethearts. That'll eventually spread to become the norm and then -- poof! -- every mortal on Galbar is a depraved, superintelligent nihilist. Probably not my favourite prospect, to be honest. What you've basically made is coffee except it's far stronger and it affects people's personal morals and ethics.

I saw that you included the way it escalates into foods but I'm not sure if that'll really be enough of a buffer.

Could I recommend something like...say...off the top of my head...motor-neuron damage as a long-term side affect? Like, after one month of heavy use?
Sabine was suddenly hesitant once she had lead the injured warrior behind the lines. Normal arrow shafts were made of wood. They were easy to snap such that it could be pulled out without tearing the flesh too much more. This bolt was solid dwarven metal and there was no chance that she would be able to snap off its head. Sabine looked about herself and fished out a leather glove that she handed to the warrior. Sabine's other hand was already poised to pull the bolt through his leg. "Hold it in your teeth."

He would need it.

The scream from the wounded warrior was, thankfully, the only sound of suffering from the warband in the time it took to disable the remaining automatons. The oil fire burned down after a while, in time for the formation to spread out and ensure that the rest of the room was safe.

"I wish I could tell you in detail..." Gallus tossed another knife, embedding it a fingernail away from his previous knife. "...but I don't know much about it. Supposedly, the dwarves used a lot of machines as well as magic, so there might be a lot more dwarven metal around. A tough metal, to be sure." Another knife throw, this time landing between the two previous. "Underground, old, strong. Similar to our old home, all things considered. Can't guarantee a bathhouse though." He chuckled.

Gallus faced Peiter and shrugged. "Who knows? We might yet return to the Ayleid ruin in our lifetimes."

Once Peiter had finished tossing his knives, Gallus stepped up to retrieve his own. "So," Gallus resumed as he pulled the last one out. "Have you thought any more on what I told you on the way home from Elsweyr? About what you'd like to do with yourself? I've noticed you've been helping around with the clan here. You've been a great help."

While Gallus hated to push potentially uncomfortable issues on Peiter, they had to be worked through eventually. Getting him in a pleasant mood was the best time to broach him after all.
Poohrennial, hmm.

Wiktionary: 1644, from Latin perennis ‎(“lasting through the whole year”), from per- ‎(“through”) + annus ‎(“year”).

So, Pooh- ("Pertaining to Pooh")...

Poohrennial philosophy: The notion that the Earth's cosmic orbit is maintained and manifested in an anthropomorphic toy bear.

I can get behind that.
@Muttonhawk You know, Confucianism is the brain-child of Daoism/Taoism. Confucius was a student of Laozi, the founder of Taoism.

So I heard. I can't really call the two similar with a straight face, though.
Man...Vec into Confucianism and Buddhism, Capy in Kabbalah and Shamanism, Kho dropping these Abrahamic rap battles...

The extent of my legit spiritual literature is this:

Edit: That said, it's actually a great Tao 101 book. And an easy read. 10/10, would go with the flow again.
We got call all the lads and reenact "Make a man out of you" with that wacko.

@Frettzo@Muttonhawk 1 Like and 1 Thanks. Don't know if sarcasm or should I begin worrying...

Look, I know he has some controversial views on foreigners and those of a different spiritual inclination, but -- I gotta say -- sacrificing throngs of psykers a day to fuel an intergalactic lighthouse is a pretty compelling policy. You gotta futureproof your infrastructure, you know?
Also I drew Toun, @Muttonhawk

Excuse me, I need to go laugh for a decade or two.
@Vec To clarify, hain are semi-natural. They were built using Slough's stuph.

As for dragons, I would lean towards adapting to their surroundings, if only because Ull'Yang hasn't really got a reason to separate them into breeds from the start. As well, it'll mean that you get to theme them to the places they live and have them sorta mesh into the local aesthetic. Instead of bland green dragons, you have swampy venomweald dragons. Or instead of blue dragons, you have finned Jvanic ocean dragons with slimy skin and a penchant for making necklaces. Just my opinion.

I also have another question for you to add to the pile: In their first post, you mentioned that the first dragons would be mated at first sight of each other. Does that mean you could have love triangles and loners if they don't pair up evenly?
