Guys, I appreciate the effort some of you are going to in order to integrate your character into the wider universe but let's try not to create too much continuity before the game has even begun, shall we? This isn't directed at anyone in particular but when I said that this game is set in the present, I meant it.

Don't get caught up on the history portion. Explain where and how it diverts from the mainstream origin - if it does at all - and try (and this is the most important part) not to create continuity that will hamper anybody else.

Now i feel slightly worried about my sheet as I've done just that! :/ I'll post it anyway when i get home in a few hours. See what people say and adapt accordingly!
So I finally got around to picking up Lego Avengers for my son [and me, but nobody ever thinks about that LOL], and I am in awe at how many 3rd and 4th stringers are in this game. I was bummed at first... no Fantastic 4 characters and no X characters meant no Human Torch and characters like Havok would be lost.... but then my son earned the Golden Age Human Torch in his most current SHIELD attire. I almost lost it I was so happy. Then after a quick google search I found out characters like Thunderstrike, the Mighty Destroyer, Jack of Hearts, Blazing Skull, Capt. Universe, and others were in the game! And arguably the GREATEST addition, Lou Ferrigno in the same security guard attire he wore in his cameo in the last Hulk solo film... but he STILL changes into the Hulk. Albeit just a regular sized Lego minifig painted like the Hulk.... BUT STILL. I almost lost it.

I thought I enjoyed the first Lego Marvel game, but my excitement for this game has far surpassed what I felt for the other. My love for obscure characters has been answered in this game...

I quite liked it, although at times i found the game quite annoying or bothersome to play. I would have liked to see the X-men and F4 although i can understand why they're not there! Don't get me wrong i loved most of the characters, i just found that elements of game sucked, such as having to waiting ages until free roam was officially unlocked. I didn't really care for the main story too much, since it was one we've all seen before, and i personally hated the use of the movie voice overs as that kind of limited what they could do! Combat seemed annoying to me too, as i'd end up getting swarmed during missions while trying to build stuff, etc, and it took ages to kill them unless you had a super strong character! That's just my opinion on it i guess!
I'll be honest, I was expecting a few 'lel killer moth is stupid"s.

You guys and your lack of judgment saddens me.

Honestly wanted to have a go at playing Killer Moth myself as I have an idea i've been dying to try for ages! :P However I can't be bothered to compete with you
I have a few character ideas floating around so i might have a go at whipping up a character sheet at some point.
The wait is also tempting me to try out for another character since i'm down to only America now but who knows...
Is anyone else planning on timing in with the Avenger's training beat down? I didn't really wish to really further the situation in my last post because i didn't know if anyone else was coming. I can continue the fight though if needed with another post?
@DrewVonAwesome He'd appreciate some actual competition.

It would seem that her response had satisfied the fellow superhero, as before long the two had taken to the skies and were beginning their flight towards wherever the Avenger’s headquarters was. As they moved through the air, Hyperion spoke, continuing to explain to America what was going on. They were heading to the Triskellion, where Hyperion here was meant to test the newfound team. The thought confused America slightly. Honestly she couldn’t see the point of being tested on their teamwork so early. She didn’t even know who the team would even comprise of. Other than Hyperion and Falcon… no Captain America, she couldn’t for the life of her give the names of any other heroes that were on this Earth. Maybe that Hawkeye chico that Hyperion spoke of was to be part of the team? She thought on what he had said about the guy. The best marksman in the world? That title was surely Avengers worthy. The guy also seemed to use a bow, so that at least gave him a unique flare. If America hadn’t just watched Kate wield such a weapon to such a high standard, she would have laughed at the idea, but now it didn’t really seem so strange.

Still, this Hawkeye wouldn’t even be attending this little test, so America still had no idea what to expect. She decided not to worry about it, since maybe that was the whole point; to see how she would react to being suddenly thrust in an unknown situation.

Focusing on her flying, America realized that she had been subconsciously increasing it speed, much like Hyperion in front of her. It didn’t take a genius to see that he was testing her. Testing to see how fast she could go. What she was capable of. These guys really took Avenger’s tryouts seriously! Not wishing to show off, she continued to follow suit; gradually increasing her over time. She was surprised to find that the two of them kept getting faster. America had expected him to reach his peak speed sometime around now, but he just kept going. This led to her frowning slightly once a building appeared in the distance. It would seem that they wouldn’t end up finding out who was faster today. Obviously she was going to be the winner though.

The two soon descended outside of the Triskellion, America looking around excitably as they did so. She was keen to see this new team. To catch a single glance at another of this Earth’s heroes. It was during this that she noticed the Quinjets that had been following them touching down a few metres away. Out from the back came all of the agents that had entered the penthouse; with both Quentin and Kate taking up the rear. While Kate was still too teary eyed to notice her, the mutant telepath could her eye. He gave her a crafty wink, before miming himself getting hanged with a noose. Obviously Quentin’s views on S.H.I.E.L.D. hadn’t changed.

Turning her attention away from her new friends, America found herself having to quickly catch up with Hyperion who had swiftly made his way through the front entrance. They passed a towering statue as they did so. Captain America. The original one anyway. It would seem that he had existed on this Earth after all. Shame they never found him. Maybe they hadn’t ended up searching…

Again, America realized that she would need to stay close to Hyperion due to the labyrinth of corridors that lay ahead of them. She tried to follow swift, staring intently at every agent that passed as she did so. Before long, the duo arrived at a set of doors. This was it. The caped hero moved towards a keypad, typing in a series of numbers, while America waited beside him, shifting impatiently on her feet. She tried to remain calm, however inside she was a sack of nerves. This was the big league. As tough as she knew that she was, most of the guys inside this room would probably be tougher. More powerful. Superheroes.

As the door slid open, she took a deep breath. She stepped inside. In front of her was her new team. She frowned. This hadn’t been what she had expected. Before she could express her opinion however, Hyperion spoke from behind her, announcing that it was time to begin. At once the room was illuminated by a bright red light, as two beams of energy shot from the man’s eyes. What’s more, they were heading directly for her. The beams hit her hard, sending his flying backwards across the room, her falling body tearing into the floor.

Groaning, she lifted herself up from the small crater which she had creating. This was certainly going to be interesting.
Might just try and get a post up tomorrow regardless actually
I've already mentioned wanting a solo Human Torch series, but other characters/concepts I'd love to see Marvel push would include Sandman, a solo Black Bolt [which would be quite a challenge since he doesn't speak], Cannonball, Capt. Universe, the Imperial Guard, Blue Marvel, Giant Man [no not Ant Man lol], Avengers Academy, Spirits of Vengeance [all the other Ghost Riders throughout time], Marvel Boy, a decent New Warriors, etc...

You probably already know this, but Blue Marvel is in Ultimates now. Which i know isn't a solo series but due to the small nature of the team they may end up focusing on him quite a bit, especially since a few of the other members have their own solos!

The new Giant Man is making an appearance in the next Astonishing Ant-Man which should be good, as despite his limited appearances, he seems like an alright kind of guy. Who knows, maybe they'll give him a bigger role in the future?

Speaking of which, is Hank still floating through space as Ultron or something?

Really really want to see more of Avengers Academy, although after Avengers Arena/Undercover, I doubt that'll be happening any time soon. Fortunately with Nico becoming more popular with her being in A-force, we might even get another Runaways appearance or run in the future!

So in terms of Avengers...

@Bright_Ops is on his way after a collab with me, @FacePunch is beating the shit out of them and @Natty is there. You with us @Gowi, I know you've had some issues as of late so we can always keep Ant-Man out of it for now if you want.

Now I really don't want to hold out on posting any longer, but if Loki, Ant-man, and Falcap are about to turn up, should i wait?
