They didn't know it, but he was reborn, and Elkepzel now has no idea of his origins. His power deals with the structure of atoms and molecules so it works fine as a Codex power. And now is a good time for Accelerator to, say, recognise Elkepzel's power and ask his name.

Well the problem with that is that you underestimate Accelerator's apathy.
Concerning the idea, I may have to mull it over a bit, although Codex aren't really "reborn," but it's more like their title is passed down to an heir.
