Depends what you class as data. I usually think of them in a similar way, as I make many of my devices with organic-styled memory. So no, in a way, it's simply signals to signals.

Misty: But two different types. Unless those are miniature brains, there will have to be some sort of conversion.

The way it works is simply that it takes in excess data contained in the brain, processes it to make it compact yet in a lossless way, and stores it in an apprpriate way depending on the data's usage. Think of it as just making the mind bigger and better.

Misty: But how does it convert neural signals to data and vice versa?
