I’m afraid I don’t understand this one, sorry. Do you sign?

*Shakes my head*
...
*Infrared light enters the visible spectrum, allowing everyone on the ship to observe temperature; the effect deactivates and I point to the window*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

Is something wrong back there? What’s that?

*Shakes my head; the room gets slightly warmer, then colder before I point around the room, then point to the terminal, then point outside*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

If you feel like exploring the area outside the storm would be helpful, you’re welcome to do that as long as you either can resist the effects of Outside or take a vest.

*Shakes my head*
...!
*My hand glows red hot and I point to my hand before pointing out the window*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

It’d be way too dangerous to even think about. Someone spending just a moment in there is what got us where we are now to begin with.

*Shrugs*

*After a few moments, the console bleeps at a volume loud enough to likely be louder than intended, as the entire scan returns negative results*
No, I don’t suppose it would be that easy, would it?

*Shrugs and then points to myself, then points outside, then puts my hand above my eyes and looks back and forth*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

*Turns back to the console and initiates a scan for life below*

*Watches the results*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

Sorry to disappoint. We took no shortcuts with this vessel. It was very, very costly to produce, and the inly one of its kind.

*Sighs, then moves my hand back and forth like I'm holding a ray-gun and points to the window and then back at the controls*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

I know it might be tempting, but it’s important to not mess with the controls. They’re locked to use only to specific people anyways, but I prefer not to take risks.

*Frowns and shakes my head*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

Those are mainly for protecting yourself when walking in normal Brinkspace. This storm is another beast entirely. Perhaps a good place to start would be to scan for life. If something is alive in this beast, that’s an immediate good sign.

*Walks toward the controls*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

*There are circular windows that allow you to look down into the storm below, probably only a mere few hundred meters away, yet the storm takes looks massive from this angle at this distance*
Alright, so now we get into the part that I don’t know what we should do. I have no idea what will be returned with any scans into the storm, but it’s not like we have any other way to get the info. Where would we be the most logical place to start? What should we look for?

*Points to the suits*
