Dead
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*As the two of you walk through, you end up in a mountain village that seems like it had been established*
Welcome to Owl's Rest. We found this place by accident when Noct slept here. Thought it was perfect. You might as well make yourselves at home. There's a bakery, a lumbermill, and a few other places too. Population numbers about fifty to maybe sixty people. We picked up a lot of strays on the way here, but we're happy nonetheless.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Ahahaha! Well let's go! I'm sure the villagers will like you!
*I step through*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Well as I've said, this thing turns big thick trees into toothpicks. I think we can handle it but, it would be nice to have someone else along. But it's fine either way.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*I take my bag of jewels and coins from the board and place a few on the table I was drinking at to pay for everything*
Thanks Sideslash! Hope this covers everything!
*I then open up a portal to Xanadu*
Well, unless there are any other people who want to join this shindig, I think we should waste no time.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Mmm... That's why I'm also traveling... I'd like to understand other systems of magic. I can't very well teach magic if I don't learn more about other forms of magic.
*I then change my tone to a sarcastic one*
Anyways, wanna kill a big death bear of doom?
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
I will note that darkness for my world connotates something different. Shadows and physical aren't always bad, they're just associated to bad things. However, darkness in the metaphysical sense is bad, negative emotions, negative intentions, fear. I believe we had this philosophical discussion of whether I'd like to live forever, death is associated with darkness as it is the opposite of life which often associated to the light. Death isn't necessarily a bad thing, it marks an end to a storied life and a transition to new beginnings - that is if you believe in reincarnation. It is those that desire to bring death that is marked in darkness, true darkness. In the same principal, there are differences to physical light and metaphysical light. For that you could probably just flip everything I've said for darkness.
*Sips lemonade after a short lecture*
Anyways, I think you can see why I want to be a teacher.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Haha, constants and variables I suppose. But my point is, dark magic may be malevolent, but we cannot deny that darkness exists and thus to understand darkness is to control it and best it.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
I do, it doesn't mean I don't know how to use it. Dark magic is... It's a double edged sword. Light and dark are two sides of the same coin. Without one there can't be the other. We are constantly battling against the light and dark within ourselves and I believe that, as much as we like to believe we're good hearted people, there will always be a little darkness in all of us. The question then becomes, does that little bit of darkness make us bad people? I do not think so.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Well, I'm a mage. Generally I'm good with any kind of magic. But if you want to ask what my favorite is and what I'm most skillful with it'd be elemental spells. Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Ice, Light, Dark, and so on.
