No unfortunately. There's no running either. I could probably send Noct, but even at his best speed it'll take him at most three days and both going and coming back.
What’s the plan, then? Evacuate everyone?
<Snipped quote by Nimda>

That is essentially what's going on yes. This elvish kingdom suffered from the last war. This was a result of that last war. If this was a warning, a declaration, then I think the king deserves to know before it's too late. I can make it to the capital within five days. Three days if I ride through the night. The ride back would take a week if I'm bringing a force from the capital over. But then again, without any sufficient evidence that something bad'll happen here, they're not going to send anything.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
No, I think its a declaration of war on the elves. I'll have to travel to the elvish capital in a few days. Technically, we had permission to settle here under an elvish lord. As honorary citizens of the elvish realm, I have to report this to the authorities. Though this place being in the fringes, I doubt we'll get much help.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
No, it's the neighboring kingdom. The one that's recovering from a war. They can't send their army here to the fringes of their territory. I feel like the bear was left here to spread the miasma kill the forest to terrorize the elvish village just a across the river to the east.
*I stand and point towards the general direction*
But this is bad news nonetheless. Our village will get caught in this scuffle. Even if the druid that died can't make this bear, I'm guessing he wasn't alone and they'll be back.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
I have a feeling that wasn't meant for us. I think that was meant for the elves in this area.
*I touch the ground and Noct perches on my shoulder once again*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*Nothing comes up*
Seems like we got it, I guess we can-
*Something begins to crawl out of the pitfall trap, a dark ooze that begins to take the form of a humanoid figure*
Ominous Voice: "This is only the beginning..."
*The ooze then falls and becomes an inanimate sludge that begins to evaporate*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*The spell goes on for a few seconds before beginning to fade and eventually disappearing*
I think I got it.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*The bear falls through and the spell channeled through Noct finally completes and a bright beam comes out. The shockwave itself is enough to affect the spirit shield that was put up. Dust gets kicked up obscuring everyone's vision.*
HAMMER OF DAWN!
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*The cutting laser seems to be working but and eventually gets through sending the bear reeling back in pain. In a fit of anger it lashes out all the dark fluid against us. I continue channeling the spell through noct*
Just... A few more... Seconds...
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*Like some eldritch horror, tentacles start to emerge from its back. The raw strength and mass of the bear shatters the ice and begins charging at us before it steps into the stone spike traps which seem to slow it down.*
There! GIO HIT IT!
*I put both of my hands together and channel a spell through Noct. A circle begins to form on Noct many times larger than himself, first white then purple it seems like it's charging up. Hoping Gio and Lily can slow down the bear just a little more*
