When they finish building the factories that are meant to ease our burdens, we will still be growing the grapes and they will still be drinking the wine.

Does anyone have a filled-in claim map?

Up to you. I can go either way for it. A Discord would help mitigate some of the spam in the thread and is an easier way to contact people.

It's definitely an easier way to contact people, but lots of posts in the Out of Character helps keep the thread feel alive.
Oh darn! This one is going by quick. I'll need to hurry up and finish my history.
I understand that people do get upset over others controlling their characters without permission, but when the character's lack of action causes a blockage, and we don't know when the character's controller will come back, we do have to consider breaking that particular taboo for the sake of getting the story going.

I already have a plan since everyone until now were talking of factions and cannon i am heading straight to the room of make your own Oc faction and cranking up a new one.

Fuck the commonwealth i am doing my own thing XD

Same here. I don't want to be squatting in ruins as though the bombs just fell yesterday, I want to have built houses and farms and such things.
I was just curious if we could go as far north as Canada, because I was planning on being around Montreal or Quebec.
Well, just going off of the results we've gotten so far, it seems like this is going to be an East Coast RP.

Since I did say this was gonna close today, take this as the last call to voice any objections towards the East Coast.

Just curious as to how far up and down the coast we can go.
I imagine it would be difficult to have the traditional Marxist ideology in a world like Fallout, although I also imagine it's perfectly possible that some factions are communist just by nature, or have their own ideas that are very similar to communism.
@Auz I have kind of a dumb question: Didn't the Legion originally come from the East? Maybe more Central, but wasn't the point of Ulysses and the Courier that they were mailmen from the West and East? You could have it that the Legion went back East to reconnct/regroup with territories it was more familiar with.

Caesar himself came from California, but the first tribe he integrated into the Legion came from the Grand Canyon, and their territory goes from the East Bank of the Colorado up to, I think, Denver, with most of their power in Arizona.
If the Legion was defeated, that could give a good story opportunity for the Legion to re-examine itself and for the various figures within the legion to decide what went wrong and where to go next, whether that's to gradually reform into a proper Empire or to seek independence from the Legion altogether.

You could even have a couple of players who have their own little sections of the Legion that are loyal to them who start off committed to the idea of the Legion and are technically unified as one faction, but as the story progresses they drift apart as their differing ideals force them into conflict.

Oh, and Andy proposed we close voting tomorrow and get an OOC up on Sunday.

So far, it looks like we have a slight majority in favor of the East Coast.

Any objections?

No objections from me.
