Bio

Been doing rp for a long time. Never really quit. Just move around. No writer's block and typically always got an idea cooking. Pretty flexible and adaptable.

Xune's spell erupted through the chamber in a violent surge of cold and heat. Frost raced across stone, metal, bone, and armor before being followed by a wave of burning fire. The abrupt shift shattered weakened structures throughout the room. Pylons cracked. Conduits burst. Wardens broke apart beneath the strain. Several scavengers were caught in the blast and disappeared within the destruction.

The barriers formed around Xune, Mantis, and Bones only moments before the waves washed over them. The shields cracked immediately and collapsed soon after, but they held long enough to keep the group alive through the blast. When the light finally faded, all three remained standing, though none escaped entirely unharmed.

The chains binding Xune were gone. Whatever connection had been feeding from her had been broken along with the damaged machinery. The pressure that had been suppressing her lesser magic disappeared as well, leaving her free to act without the same interference that had plagued her since entering the chamber.

The room itself was no longer stable. Ruined pylons leaned at odd angles and shattered conduits spilled fading green light across the floor. Despite the damage, the sensation of lifeforce being drawn away had not vanished. If anything, it had increased. It lingered in the chamber as a constant pressure. Remaining where they were would continue to wear them down.

Across the far side of the room, a section of the wall had split apart during the destruction. Beyond it stretched a passage descending deeper into the pyramid. Unlike the ruined chamber behind them, the machinery within that corridor still moved with steady purpose, green light flowing through intact conduits as the structure continued operating somewhere below.

TLDR: Astras buried by monsters in the fissure and needs aid. abe getting attacked, shield maidens getting attacked.
music: battle in warrens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tsCTAwhCes

Taotie's mana bolts struck several creatures while they were still climbing. Some lost their grip and fell back into the fissure while others were killed outright. The number of creatures reaching the chamber was reduced, but more continued climbing from below.

McCoy found clear lanes between allies and fired into the advancing monsters. One creature was killed immediately while another was wounded and knocked into the path of the swarm behind it.

Zeldrin's rats successfully brought down a single creature together. One climbed onto its back while the other attacked its neck. The creature died, though both rats suffered claw wounds during the exchange. Repscallion remained near Zeldrin as commanded.

Within the fissure, Astra grabbed one of the creatures without difficulty. It struggled briefly before her strength overpowered it. While attempting to withdraw slowly, additional creatures climbed onto her from the surrounding walls and debris. More continued arriving from below and piled onto those already attached. Astra remained conscious as countless jaws and claws started piercing her skin. While not dead thanks to her hardier body, she'd need some help to get out in one piece. (restrained and grounded. can't freely move her limbs or fly away currently)

The Shield Maidens reached the fissure edge and formed a defensive line. Working together, they blocked the first creatures attempting to enter the chamber. Several attackers were killed during the struggle while others were crushed against the defenders by the pressure of the swarm behind them.

The chamber provided enough room for creatures to move around the defensive position. Rather than continuing directly into the shields, groups began climbing across broken flooring and ruined stonework along both sides of the fissure. The creatures appeared to hunt through movement rather than sight. Whenever they detected motion, they lunged with claws and teeth in an attempt to drag targets to the ground before biting repeatedly.

Several creatures broke toward Kaitori's position. She reached the flank she intended to occupy, but the effort left no opening to execute Bladewave before the creatures arrived. She now faced multiple attackers at close range. (Kaitori, defend yourself)

Additional creatures moved around the opposite side of the chamber toward the defenders positioned behind the Shield Maidens. More creatures continued climbing from below. (shield maidens will need to defend themselves and that's assuming they are maintained by Nyana so they don't fizzle)

@Numbers welcome. Mentioned fantasy and dnd. Interested in an tp that uses a system for character creation and advancement?

TLDR: gonna need to hit the chain harder to free xune. the wardens and scavengers are contending with each other, neither overly interested in the party at this point.
music:

The warden's backhand to Bones caught him squarely and launched him across the platform. He struck the stone hard and skidded through the glowing lines before coming to a stop.

Mantis baited the attack as intended, but the timing was not perfect. The warden's strike clipped her during the maneuver and sent another burst of pain through her already battered body. She still reached the pylon, still reached the chain, but the accumulated damage was beginning to show. The wounds across her body remained open as her regeneration worked slowly to repair them.

Mantis's blade struck the chain and sent a violent shudder through it. The impact carried all the way up the binding and jolted Xune where she hung suspended above the platform. The chain held. Whatever anchored it into the pylon was proving far sturdier than a simple cut could overcome.

The newcomers wasted little time revealing their intentions.

"Forget the constructs! Get to the pylons! Grab whatever you can carry before somebody else takes it! That drider is feeding the system. Let her keep doing it!"

Several rushed toward the platform while others spread out along the chamber walls, eyeing both the party and the machinery. Weapons remained drawn and more than one scavenger was already measuring the group the same way they measured the relics around them. With Mantis out of reach and Bones smacked out of the way, the wardens turned on the scavengers. Fighting broke out between the groups which quickly devolved into hectic mess of attacks, magic, and undead mayhem.

@Gadg8eerGenerally no. you used 3 F grade abilities in one post as 3 different actions. your spywear wouldn't needed time before it could activate the combat hud or assess battlefield after scanning the party members. what's more, the scanning of the party is typically done 1 character at a time without enhancements to the scan ability. in non combat rounds, its not as important, but as we are now in combat with monsters actively engaging the party, the scans and 2 other actions would take too much time to take place in a single round.

TLDR: Astras getting swarmed and attacked. The rest of the horde is advancing on the party up top.

The sounds from below continued to grow louder as stone shifted somewhere within the darkness. Sister Valeria kept one hand against the damaged seal while answering the remaining questions without taking her eyes from the fissure.

"Let's hope it doesn't come to that."

When asked about a reward, she gave a much shorter answer.

"Power."

A moment later she addressed Zeldrin's question.

"Scouts. Hunters. Blind, but not helpless. They feel movement."

The glow surrounding the recently summoned Golden Vessels flickered. One by one their forms became translucent before fading completely. Whatever magic had brought them forth failed to hold them in place. Within seconds the chamber was left with only Nyana's Siren Sisters and First Order.

Zeldrin's own spell found more success. Shapes emerged from nearby cracks and gaps in the ruined stonework (not specifically the fissure). Three creatures answered the call. A pair of pale cave rats roughly the size of small dogs scurried into view, followed by a squat six legged lizard no larger than a goat. All three appeared comfortable in the underground environment and quickly gathered near their new master.

Far below, Astra reached the upper portions of the ruined passage system connected to the fissure. Broken stone, collapsed supports, and fragments of ancient masonry formed a rough path upward through the darkness. The route widened in places and narrowed in others, leaving numerous routes for smaller creatures to climb.

The first of them came into view. Several pale creatures scrambled over debris and broken walls with surprising speed. Their bodies resembled a cross between hairless reptiles and oversized cave predators. Four legs carried them forward while elongated forelimbs ended in hooked claws suited for climbing. Their eyeless heads swept from side to side as they advanced.

More movement followed behind them. Dozens. The leading creatures reacted immediately to Astra's presence, accelerating. Several launched themselves directly toward her while others spread across the surrounding debris and continued climbing along alternate routes. The first impacts came moments later. (Astra, defend yourself)

Above, those remaining in the chamber heard the sounds of movement rising rapidly through the fissure. Small stones popped upward from below as the first creatures closed the remaining distance. A few pale claws appeared over the edge of the opening. Then several more. The creatures getting around Astra swarming the defensive line of the party.

TLDR: party's metal of any kind has left them, but they are now safely landed and whole in the Deep
music: youtube.com/watch?v=xarC5jAiO7w

The last of the momentum bled away as the group drifted downward through the glowing air. The wounds torn open during the descent gradually closed beneath layers of healing magic and strange ambient energy. The strange effects did not stop there.

Metal began to move. Armor buckled inward before softening. Weapons sagged within their sheaths. Mechanical parts, prosthetics, implants, buckles, tools, and fittings lost their shape as though exposed to impossible heat. Steel and iron moved like liquid metal. Entire weapons collapsed into streams that spilled free from straps and scabbards.

Lauren felt the change first through her prosthetic as liquid metal poured from joints and seams. Yumi watched what remained of her ruined weapon liquify completely. Metal fragments, armor plates, nails, screws, clasps, and fittings all abandoned their forms. Even the smallest hidden pieces escaped containment, flowing away from their owners before drifting through the air toward the distant landscape.

The metal flew. Streams of liquid metal curved across the sky like migrating birds before disappearing toward distant destinations unknown.

One by one the survivors reached solid ground. Soft moss and broad jungle leaves broke their final descent. Warm air greeted them. The roar of wind was gone. The crushing pull was gone. The endless shaft above just a memory now. For the first time since the collapse, they stood still.

The cavern they found themselves in stretched beyond sight in almost every direction. At a glance it looked like the surface world. A warm breeze drifted through dense vegetation. Jungle trees towered overhead. Vines hung from enormous branches. The distant crash of waves echoed through the air from a vast inland sea visible beyond the canopy.

Then the details began to reveal themselves. Leaves shimmered with crystal growths. Tree trunks contained veins of polished metal beneath translucent bark. Flowers unfolded petals formed from glasslike minerals. Strange creatures moved through the undergrowth, some flesh and blood, others partly metallic or crystalline. A herd of massive reptiles crossed a distant clearing, their scales reflecting the colorful light overhead while winged creatures larger than ships circled high above the jungle.

The sky itself demanded attention. Instead of darkness above the cavern ceiling, a brilliant neon sunset stretched overhead. Pink, purple, orange, and electric blue painted the impossible sky in glaring colors that belonged more to a dream than a natural world. The light reflected from crystal formations scattered throughout the cavern and cast the entire landscape in vivid hues.

Far in the distance stood a structure so large it dominated the horizon. A single colossal pillar rose from the jungle floor and disappeared into the neon sky above. Its surface was covered in countless interconnected metal cubes stacked and fused into an impossible tower. Streams of liquid metal flowed along its sides like rivers climbing upward rather than falling down.

Movement surrounded it. Small figures drifted through the air between the cubes. Some rode floating boards that skimmed across invisible currents. Others stood upon strange metallic constructs that carried them effortlessly through the sky. They moved between the distant structures with casual familiarity.

If you are interested in joining, let us know and share a filled out character sheet.

Rp'er name: (put link to your profile page)

Character name:

We support most races. Pick a catagory:
Beast - Pretty much any creature that has animal characteristics or animal heritage greater physical prowess than most other races. Also tend to have enhanced senses.

Prime - Humans and other creatures that look mostly human with maybe just 1 or 2 differences. Not great at any one thing, but flexible.

Fae - Any magical creature or spirit typically goes here. Beings of mana. Elves, dwarves, hobbits, gnomes, etc. The best with magic.

Construct - Creatures of artificial beginnings but somehow in possession of a soul. Golems of varying kinds whether from clay, stone, or flesh. Homunculus. Androids. Best in survival and enduring.

Equipment
List what you want the character to have on them/available to them in their travels.

Spells/Abilities/talents/skills
List anything your character knows or can do that the average untrained peasant doesn't know or can't do.

Note: while flexible, the more stuff you can do, the weaker each individual thing is. So rather than saying "I can manipulate fire", say things like "I can shoot small fireballs and create a small wall of fire in front of myself". Rather than saying Im a master of the sword, say "I can empower my sword with my energy to cut better and to create short ranged shockwaves to cut a target at range".

You may include other information if you wish.

Approved characters will be posted in the characters tab.
