Kinda of an unrelated, but still relevant note: About how long does it take you guys to type out your posts? The reason why I ask is that I see these walls of texts that still have a lot of quality to them, but I can't even think that far behind/ahead enough to put it into narrative. Granted that may be because I try to post something on the same day that I start typing it, and if so would you say I need to stall a bit? (I.E. It took like 15 mins to put up the post i did- which included reading up on the ship and previous posts while typing)

You're faster than me. I'm usually an hour, with distractions mind you (I'm a slow typer sometimes), but I'm also particular with wording and such. Typing like this where I blurt out words is actually quite fast for me. :P

Usually my post are about the same as yours in size. It just that beginning posts, or when something important happens, are usually larger in order to generate a scene with events and setting.

Edit: Also first post take ages because we don't know people's characters.

I...have decided to take a back seat to this one. I was going to come on here and say my opinion, but I'm not going to do that.

Due to Cait being the final applicant to the RP and there being so many talented writers here, I am going to take the neutral approach and let the community of this RP decide the yay or nay vote on his/her character.

Take the opinions and advice of the community to heart, Cait. Learn from them and craft a character that not only we will enjoy greatly, but will be with you for a long time. I will listen to the community's verdict and decide one way or another at the end of the day. (Figuratively end of the day, not literally.)

THe armor that she is wearing within the image.
very light armor, mainly leather, things that she can move around in easily, Niesha hates being weighed down.
Clothing:
again, light weight clothes, typically considered of easy to move in pants and shirts, nothing that restricts her movements
Weapons:

niesha works with a modified how and arrow set, with arrows that have been specially made to have electrified heads

Miscellaneous items:
A gold necklace, slightly blackened, in the shape of a heart that had been her mothers.

A small pack, with first aid supplies in it.

She doesn't really have much else.

Biography: Niesha grew up a seventh child with six older brothers. She felt like she was always in their shadow, and always expected to just sit and be pretty. There was nothing to distinguish herself amongst her siblings. Until one day, she found her fathers bow. It wasn't long until she could be seen firing arrows at a tree, under her fathers careful gaze.

They weren't the richest, but soon, Niesha was out hunting. She brought home meat, and fur. She became valuable to her family, and she soon began other training, working on being fast, agile, flexible. She was happy.

It didn't last.

Her family was murdered in a deliberate house fire, which she had been out hunting. She returned to find the house a ruins, her parents and siblings dead. She didn't leave the farm for four days, choosing instead to bury her family, and search for anything left that she could keep.

There was much.

She was 20. And all alone. Vengeance woke in her heart, and she began to hunt. She searched for two years for the man that had killed her family. She hunted, stalked, and preyed. Until finally, she found him.

He was younger then her, and scared. It had been an accident, and he was scared of fire. He hadn't thought it would be bad, but had fled before seeing the damage. As Niesha raised her bow, the boy cowered, screaming that all he had wanted was some corn.

She lowered her bow and turned away, knowing the boy had to live with the deaths of eight people. And that was payment enough. She began to wonder, having no where else to go. She began to board on ships, learning a trade there, using her flexibility, speed and small frame to access parts of the ships she was working on that would be harder for someone else. She cleaned. She followed orders. She did all that was asked of her, and more. She learned about ship weapons, and how a ship should run.

But she didn't stay for long, feeling like she was just being ordered to do all the menial tasks that other crew members didn't wish to do. She turned instead to thieving, becoming an excellent sneak, and pick pocketer, getting enough money to live by, and enough to give to others struggling. She learned how to hide.

She was caught one day, by a rich merchant. She fled, but her face was out there. The went to her hidey hole, and gathered her things, but waited until night. She was probably fortunate that the The Crimson Dusicyon was docked. She watched for a time, before sneaking aboard. She wasn't foolish enough to think that she could hide on the ship forever, and she knew that she would probably be in trouble when she was found out, but all she wanted was a chance. She wasn't afraid.

Even before the ship left, Niesha approached and asked for a job. She would do anything. She didn't even care if she was paid. She just wanted a place to sleep, and some food each day. So she became exactly what she was on any of the other ships she had served on. A cleaner. A menial task completer. But she found that she didn't care. It was better then being jailed. Better then the streets.

So I've read through, and I'm sorry, but I don't believe that the character is going to suit the world. I do have reading in depth on my phone as it's hard to get a good feel, but from what I've read it feels like she is more of a hunter from a fantasy world than a cyberpunk world.

Cyberpunk is traditionally more robotic and filled with augmented people, or weapons enabled by science. It utilizes cloning, bionics, and digital technology. Watching the trailer to "Cyberpunk 2077" or playing Deus Ex will help show what I'm talking about.

I also feel that the house fire and death of a family doesn't help her cause. I can't pin point exactly cause I'm skim reading while on lunch, but it doesn't feel like it's a good motive for her to end up on a pirate ship. Her family died and now she pillaging towns? See the loss of connection. :\

Sorry for sounding harsh. I can have a look and help you improve if you really want. It's no skin off my nose but even just a few minor changes and we can turn it from a fantasy hunter into something else, if you're up for it. :)

While yes I did seem a bit black and while with my statement, it was probably more focused towards people that define their existence by their popularity. I do have some good online friends, and I have a lot of people that I trust who I have never met. I guess I just have a higher standard sometimes because of what has happened to me in the past with people I used to care about.

Really? If you gotta ask that you've thought of one of two things. Either you insulted me so badly that it would make me not want to talk to you, or you're insecure and require attention for your existence to meaning anything.

The people I talk to on here are what I would call friendly people, my friends would consist of my racing buddies and the guy I've known since grade 3. Is it bad that I only call the people on here good acquaintances? No, because I enjoy your company but the relationship between us all is strictly limited to this forum. We have a good time, a chuckle, but I wouldn't be telling you my personal, financial or emotional problems.

Some people just don't understand what a friend is, and I bet we can blame Facebook for adding a counter to how many friends you own.

@NuttsnBolts Nikola is a tech wizard, if you need help with that taste problem then a fix can be arranged.

@Leolycan Um.. I'm sorry if this comes off as possibly a bit brash but would it be possible if you could change your characters first name? Our names are a tad similar you see but if you've got your heart set on keeping him as Nicholas, I don't mind changing.

Lol. Sure! Having an eventual upgrade may be a thing that Cari can look forward to. :)

And I dunno, having two "Nicks" could create some funny scenarios, but as long as people use the full names (and aren't lazy) or Mr Norstrom and Mr Quirke, then it shouldn't be too much of an issue. After all, that's part of the reason why people have last names. :)
