At the moment we have 4 players including myself. I will probably allow 1 or 2 more as any extras (Mainly to allow for Asgore if she joins) cause I don't want issues with it being too big.

Got another possible player with some ideas I'm thinking about (Witch like Kim from Soul Eater NOT)
...Monster was my original idea but only if I can come up with something unique...

Give us a rough example of what you we're possibly thinking and we'll see if it's OK. Monsters will be one that I'll be a little picky about as they have the potential to be overpowered with the various options (even if it's not really an arena style rp), but also it'd have to fit into the lore and world.

Give this a read as well. [Link]
Still looking for more players that are interested. :)

I'm going to post tonight.

Thats cool and thanks. :)
Partly why I didn't tag people as I didn't want it to come across as a major crisis or anything.

Finals and stuff are probably kicking their butts. My Christmas break starts on Friday so things will probably pick up by the weekend. If not you could always bump the interest thread.

As much as I know that, I still forget since I've been out of school for so long. I might look at bumping and also doubling up the int chk in the general interest check area too. :)
Wondering where people are at the moment since there's been very little activity over several days now.
Cool. I have a bit of an idea of how Alyon is involved in the world and linking the mysterious person with both her mother and her father, but those won't really come around until they meet up with her father again.
Alyon followed Fraya down below as they came across the three men sitting around the candle light. The two of them were quiet as they snuck around like rodents, slipping in between the mountains of stock and goods until they reached a distance where they could hear the conversation they were having. It was fairly obvious that they had taken their job lightly as the words they spoke slurred with alcohol. The girl grinned as she thought up of a clever, but fun, situation on how to burn down this very ship.

Looking around at the stock and checking a few boxes, she finally came across several bottles of fresh drink. Being as careful as could be she pried off the cap and took a whiff before a sipping it to see what type of drink it was.

"Whoal!!! Damn that's strong!" she whispered before offering it to Fraya for a taste. The expression that she got in reverse was something she couldn't comprehend. "Okay... if you don't want any..." Alyon spoke, shrugging her shoulders and tipping the bottle upside down.

The contents started spilling on the floor creating a small puddle between them and as soon as the bottle was empty she repeated the same process. Grabbing a bottle, opening it up to have a sip, and offering it to Fraya before tipping the contents on the ground. Alyon repeated this several times before turning to a keg that was sitting all by it's lonesome. "I bet this one taste good as well!" she winked as she pulled out the knife and stabbed the cork in the side, popping it out.

Within seconds the floor started to slosh with a small layer of liquid that covered the whole room. The rocking of the boat helped with the movement as it pushed the alcohol from one side of the ship to the other. Alyon grinned at her work as she picked up a full bottle and handed it to Fraya, pointing towards the candle that was sitting within view. "Would you care to do the honours?"
If everyone wants to restart, we can absolutely do that. :) @OldManWong are you okay with that, too?
If we did restart, it might be best just to keep the few people we already have and who we know will reply. Too many people results in too many flakes and waiting on too many responses (which makes it move way slow).

If I can be honest for a moment... I'm really disappointed as of late. I joined 8 RPs since coming back onto this site and only two of them are really active. Most people quit on me or just stopped replying. :( I only bring this up because I'm honestly curious - is that normal on this site, now? Do people do that a lot in the other RPs y'all do or have tried to do?

Thanks for the well wishes. Maybe in the new year I might rejoin or something but I'll have to see what happens with my schedule over summer.

I joined an RP a several months ago and it went on for a long while until the GM and Co-GM had personal problems (They were in a relationship and one lost his job, so it put pressure on them). I wouldn't say that it's a site thing for having RPs that fall off the radar as the community is just a group of people and generally RPs are a hit or miss depending on a variety of factors. Starting it towards the end of the year could be one with exams and Christmas coming up soon. Even my 1x1 Partner and I are having trouble with trying to balance work and play this month, when before we were daily posters.

Something I have noticed over my time is a key part that needs to be in an RP and that's motivation. The characters need to be motivated by a goal or event. It's partly why Fandoms do well as they piggy back this idea from the series and re-invent it into their own (A new Sith appears in a Star Wars RP, or, What if Frodo never made it to Mount Mordor). Fresh idea RPs need to have a bit of a motive for them for people to think of ideas and create a story to aim for a goal.

Something I might suggest is maybe shrinking that age bracket a little bit to maybe 15-17 or having mixed age classes. Something that I came across that was difficult was that I wasn't really going to be interacting with anyone other than 1 player due to the classes. It meant that I probably wouldn't have those awesome scenes in the cafeteria where everyone is messing about, but being 17, (especially with Aussie) teens tend to drink and experiment a little bit with their lives.

Your idea and school is good. I'm not normally interested in these kind of RPs and I started watching Nichijou when I joined, so I was a lil pumped for the idea. But I felt a little lost in what I wanted to do and what everyone had planned as well.
Out of curiosity, how many role plays have you joined, and what sort of RPs are they?

Free is mostly shotgun simple posting so if you want something with depth you'll need to move up to casual. Casual doesn't have to be several paragraphs, only a couple. It also doesn't have to be a fast rp and that could be what's causing you issues. The RPs you're joining may be too fast and you're burning yourself out too quickly. Much like eating a 5 course meal in a single, short sitting.
@Kitsune will make a post hopefully tomorrow. Sorry about the delay :)
