Spent the evening watching Mocking Jay 1 and 2. So the post was a bit later than expected. :P
Fraya grabbed Alyon's body with a tight squeeze, locking it into her own. Instantly Alyon's eyes dilated as Fraya's hand pressed up against her mouth. With a short mention of "Hold on and keep silent" Fraya made a leap for the rafter's above, grabbing hold and swinging the frightened partner onto the beam.

Alyon grabbed the beam, holding on for dear life as the two sat there waiting for the patrol to pass. She looked at Fraya with a glare, mouthing the words "Warn me next time!" so that their voices wouldn't alert the guards standing below.

This move of Fraya's played a huge advantage to the girls. With them being above the patrol men they were able to sneak around and avoid their views, but best of all they could take each one out one by one in order to minimise the people they would have to deal with overall. Alyon wrapped her legs around the rafter and swung her body so that she was hanging upside down. With a swift movement she pulled out her sword and held it above the man's head, taking her aim.

Don't kill him, just knock him out, she thought as she readjusted her grip so she was holding the blade instead. With a heavy swing she hit him clear in the head, sending the body limp and watching him fall to the ground. Looking back up, she made a reach for the rafter so that she could pull her body back up onto the beam and meet up with Fraya again.

"We have to move!" she whispered sternly, knowing that patrols would find the man soon; but the advantage was that they would be looking around the vicinity which would give the two girls enough time to find a clearer pathway to the meeting below.
Going to look at replying sometime tomorrow. Been a bit late and I've been watching movies all evening.

8:4 for pilots isn't a bad ratio; and if you count Ana and Vera that makes it 8:6.

The harem dream must live on!

But seriously, I don't think it really matters. Generally I think there would be more males in this kind of environment.
I imagine Volkov is a bit like Vladof from borderlands. The company that loves firepower, filling enemy NCs with lead and big. Big guns, NCs and big explosions!
Ok, Posted up an IntChk Thread in the General Interest area so see if I can get some more attention, but I'll probably be looking at writing up a post for this soon. Starting with 3 people isn't too bad as it can help with character communication. :)
The Mysteries of Awilix

INTEREST CHECK THREAD

OOC THREAD

Humans unfortunately do not live on Earth anymore, instead they live on a moon called Awilix that orbits the dead planet known only as Husk. The planet Earth was abandoned almost 500 years earlier after the discovery of a new energy, an energy known simply as Lunos.

The Discovery of Lunos

During the early 21st century the Earth witnessed a unique cosmic event in the form of Lunosity's Comet, a celestial body that passed by our home planet for the first time during mankind's existence. During this comet's orbit it resonated with an energy that triggered a change within the human genome, granting magic like abilities and allowing people to control the very elements around them. Eventually these abilities were dubbed the name Lunos, a tribute to the comet itself, and everyone viewed it as the next step of human evolution.

As the years went on a startling discovery was made. The human race was gradually becoming infertile, a fate mankind was unable to escape since it was embedded within the very core of their DNA thanks to the introduction of Lunos. If nothing was done soon, the human race would become extinct.

The Migration to Husk & Awilix

In a desperate attempt the leaders of Earth all agreed that staying on this tomb of a planet was simply not an option and that the entire species had to leave for the stars and find the origin of Lunosity's comet in order to see if there was a way to find a cure and reverse it's dire effects. Any normal species at this point would be extinct but humanity survived this long by growing humans and allowing for one's conscious to be placed within a new body when their old one became weak. This proved effective but due to the slow nature of the procedure not every human psyche was able to obtain a new body but instead had to be placed on a waiting list. At first many billions of lives were lost but this eventually stabilised to a number of around 9 million people. In addition to this, 300,000 minds have been placed within humanoid robots or stasis tanks so that they can wait for their new body to reach maturity, an advanced technique that was only achieved only in the past one hundred years.

Currently most of humanity lives on the lush moon of Awilix (Image), a satellite beaming with various forms of flora and fauna. Most of it's surfaces is covered in a thick jungle with long lengths of it's landscape housing a rugged mountain terrain. Unfortunately there is little in the way of large oceans but rivers, lakes and streams spread their roots throughout every crevice they can find, leaving many to believe that the plant life is nurtured by bore water and underground seas more than anything else.

Husk (Image) on the other hand is a dead planet with a crater that spreads over a third of it's surface, leaving it's exposed molten core visible to anyone that looks up at the night sky. While it might seen like a planet that should be left alone, it's exposed inner layers has allowed for easy mining of metal ore, fossil fuel and even the occasional Gemstone. These Gemstones can be quite rare and the best quality ones are usually the size of a golf ball.

On the surface of Awilix lies a city known as The Landing (Image). This condensed mega-city was built to surround a large, towering drop-pod; which these days acts like a hub for business and trade rather than a transport vessel. The city is positioned so it continually has a perfect view of it's parent world throughout the day and night, using Husk's rotational cycle to give humans a similar time frame that they were used to back on Earth.

The Events of Current

At this point in time it is unknown when humans will make their next leap in space towards the origins of Lunosity's Comet. For the time being however they are living among the other, occasionally dangerous, wildlife of Awilix. Several ancient ruins and crash sites have been spotted around the moon as well, leaving many to wonder if another intelligent life form used to occupy this lonely planet. This fact seems to be reinforced by the recent disappearance of a scout ship, but it is unknown whether the two are completely related.

Adding to this turn of events is the rising accusations that the Leaders within the city are starting to loose focus on society's best interest through the use of cutting government funding and oppression. These accusations however stem from a radical group called The Children of Umbra, a terrorist organisation who has risen up over the last decade.

Notes From Myself

Currently I will be looking for up to 5 players (Currently 3 available slots left), nothing more as it can dilute the experience. This Roleplay does have some inspiration from various stories, movies and games, however I don't wish to list them as I don't want to generate a fandom base of players. I'll try to do the best I can but please be mindful that I am human, I do have up and down days, and I am GMing this so I can have an RP that I can also participate in. :)
Will get up a post this weekend. Just working over the Easter break and stuff.

URTU-07 Tram - New Anchorage

The rattle sounds of metal rolling over metal resonated throughout the quiet train, if it wasn't for the small group of people who had decided to start talking amongst themselves. It at first started with two males, but extended to a third male as he was drawn into their interesting topic. A topic of lives, history, and Red Star.

On the opposite side of the carriage Tahlia sat, feet up on the bench and back against the wall with her arms wrapped around her legs and her head resting itself in the corner as she tried to acquire some desired shut eye. Her trip to this part of the world had been a long and gruelling one, leaving her both physically and mentally worn out. It didn't help that for the past few months she had been in regular battles on her way to this ice land, and now her NC was busted beyond comprehension. With no team to command, no mechanics to rely on, and no support to help give her a break; Tahlia had done things the hard way and performed her own maintenance when needed. She wasn't a mechanic and knew the difference between a nut and a screw, but isolating the issue that was causing the Sypder mode glitches and jamming within the Armageddon's Rain was just beyond what her simple mind was capable of understanding.

Still... she was tired, and these people were noisy; talking about their little problems and trivial issues. She had gotten some shut-eye but not enough to improve her mood. Sleepily she pulled up her head and shifted the hood so she could see the others. A young boy, European looking; an older man, with an out of date pony tail; and an over-stylish man in a suit, more than likely NOT an NC user. Taking these details into account she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a crumpled pack of Longbeach cigarettes, a brand that somehow survived the hundreds of years since their first appearance into the market place. It was little wonder though as Red Star's interactions had strengthen some of the Indonesian/Australian businesses allowing them to still operate even in this day and age. She tipped the soft pack up, letting a stick slip it's way out and followed up with bring it to her lips and lighting it with an old zippo.

Tahlia sat there in silence, slowly puffing away and watching the warm glow of the end fill with a vibrant red every few moments. Alexander Sky, she thought to herself, knowing that she had read about him several years ago. The product of the Burrows' "slave breeding projects", the "Slaver-Slave" they called him, an idiotic name in Tahlia's books as any person was either a either a master or a slave. You either dished out the orders or obeyed them, a simple concept that worked well.

Eventually the two men surrounding Alexander decided to leave with one heading off to the toilet for a second time, probably because he broke the seal in the cold environment, and the other looking to get something to eat. Using this opportunity Tahlia sat herself up and gave a heavy shrug, allowing her hoody to reposition itself into a more natural position. The dark reddish brown showing off it's harrowing colours with the design of the logo that was stitched into the back; the Star of a corporation, and the icon of disturbing nation. She made her move, walking over to the male that was now sitting alone, lifting her leg and plunging her foot onto his thigh. Before it could register to the poor male what was happening she grabbed him by the jaw and glared into his eyes, piercing into his very soul.

"You call yourself Red Star?" she spoke to him, cigarette still in mouth and smoke drifting out of her lips. Carefully she turned his head from one side to the other, looking at the shape of a European skull, noting the differences in bone structure and skin tone. "You only became a Red Star because you were told you were to become a Red Star. That is the difference between you and me. Red Star doesn't flow in your veins."

Tahlia let go of the male's jaw, plucking the cigarette out of her mouth and ashing it on the ground next to them. She let the cigarette hang there for a moment in her fingertips before ending off her short spiel. "Red Star will eventually come to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Both your NC, and my own... however they will also take me back under their wing, but will they accept you, 'Slave Master'?"

The cigarette gently lifted it's way back to Tahlia's mouth as she lifted her leg off the poor individual's thigh. She gave a sly smirk and a huff in the form of a light giggle before patting the boy twice on the cheek with her free hand, "Lighten up mate..." she said in a more positive, yet cynical tone, "Didn't you bloody come to New Ancorage to get away from that shit? So why worry about it?"
