Thanks, Nutts! Looking forward to it :)

Edit: I have a couple questions btw, I noticed it was asked but I can't find a very specific answer... How long ago did The Great War end?

Second question: will we have an opportunity to make a second character later in the roleplay? If not, that's cool, but I had a Faunus character from a while back I might like to revamp for the time period, just thinking of a) how I can do that and b) if we'll be allowed. ^^

And lastly, just a side note, as it was mentioned in the Interest Check, the Faunus Civil Rights movement doesn't have a specific date or year it began, but on the page about the Great War, it is mentioned that that the movement definitely came after the war.

Shoot!
Sorry, I saw the original message but never saw the edit.

Great war ended 80 years prior to the series, so that's why there's a lack of abundant tech. Think how 80 years ago from now is the 1940s, but since the RWBY universe has advanced to AI and cybernetics, it'll be easy to create a world that's a mix of old and modern tech.

Currently I haven't got plans for second characters, but that's not a no answer. The goal I'd like is that as things naturally progress you'll naturally want to explore and branch out a bit. The storyline I have at the moment is a rather simple adventure (with a loose end), but that's only so that as we venture forth I can gauge the level of interest in certain elements and progress.

The Faunus Civil Rights movement is gonna be later as there is no actual date for it. We could possibly explore that later as a future arc, like an aftershock for the war, but for the time being we can treat it as though it hasn't occurred yet.

(not trying to supplant the GM or anything, just trying to provide info from what I remember seeing being said + adding some interpretation of the OOC details about how cadets are being picked for this assignment prior to there being any real graduates, hopefully to save some time for Nutts when he's more available to answer questions)

That's all good and was pretty accurate anyways. Things don't happen overnight and we aren't baking a cake for the story, so some of those details can be a little... vague.

Gonna start to work on the IC today. Had a bit of stuff to do but hopefully I can knuckle down and get into it. :)

Quite a simple question but there's been times when every one of us have noticed a part of a roleplay that has been neglected and forgotten. From the premise of a motivational plot to character sheet where sections are never used; what aspects of a roleplay do you feel that players and GMs forget the most?
Gonna close off entries now, but @Scout and @Inkarnate, welcome to the team. I do like that we have a bit of a mix now with both male and female characters, a good blend of character origins, alomg with a nice variance of ranged and melee types.

I will start to work on an IC soon enough so that I can make references to the world and hopefully each character. Got a few ideas so may look at starting up with either something a bit action based, or a gradual introduction.

My post, and the posts of others, have failed to appear in one of our threads, but only in the OOC. Reloading and clicking the "Read unread posts" link doesn't load them either.

That's the thread, and I'll try to grab some screenshots of the issue.

Aaaaaand I have no idea how to get an image from my computer onto a post here.

Fun.

@Ellri I think it just simply comes down to the user's personal experience. Some people want to enjoy browsing through the site without being noted for where they visit. I do get some friends that jokingly say "I see you lurking" when I'm looking at their stuff, but others may be turned off by this. There is also the extreme with avoiding harassment.

I'd be inclined to put the ghost at the top of the offline list but below the active list, and then simply sort alphabetically or something. At least that way you can tell their activity but don't know when they are exactly online.

Or just what Mahz did. Lol
