Uh, something really heartbreaking has happened and I might not post for a little while. Who knows, I may get over this sooner but yeah if I'm absent that's why.

Linta's day had started long before the students even considered waking up. She'd sprung out of bed at four-thirty that morning, wasting no time getting dressed and ready to face the first day of Riverdale's new year. She and other staff, as well as some brave veteran students participating in the orientation, had busied themselves with setting up everything from booths in the cafeteria and student common grounds to promote interest in all available clubs, teams, organizations and services that Riverdale's had to offer to running countless tech checks on equipment for the comin orientation assembly. It was one of the busiest mornings of the year.

Linda herself had spent most of her time setting up booths for the dance and aerobatics teams, as well as occasionally hovering around the tutor's booth, which was meant to encourage students to seek any help they needed, from math to shifting to history to airbending. She was most proud of the aerobatics booth; the photography club had taken some breathtaking photos of last year's team in flight and even made an excellent graphic of Linta and a few of the long-standing club members in their human forms with their shifted forms edited in as if they were perched on their arms or shoulders. Though she'd be hovering between her many booths, it was that one she wanted to spend the day manning.

As students tricked in to the cafeteria, Linta stood, clipboard in hand, ready to answer questions and invite people to join the team. One particular student, caught her eye, and she sauntered over, pen ready, to answer questions and hopefully get some new members.

Do we have any new students? I can't remember. Also, for our first 'event,' I propose an introductory gathering sometime in this school day. It'll put all the characters in the same spot and sort of set up some setting/mechanic elements. IC, it would be to welcome students to/back to the school and explain to the newbies what's happening to them so they don't freak out too badly. Maybe this could happen a few days in, if today seems too early?

Hey guys I was going to put this in my post but before we get too carried away I propose a setting thing:

The riverdale school year doesn't really start until a few weeks in because they know all the new people are going to be hella freaked out and experimental and they want to allow a few weeks to get that under control to avoid class disruption. So during the first few weeks the tutors and whatnot take the stand to act as kind of first responders as shit goes haywire and people start passing out. Sound about right?

EDIT They'd also use this time to advertise school groups and clubs and whatnot, kind of like a spirit week/month. And since not all students join in first year, all classes are postponed so even twelves can adjust to their new stuff.

I'll probably make a tutor for the elementals too, although we have significantly fewer of those.

Hahaha, in Canada we just call them by grade numbers. Like a freshman is grade nine, sophomore grade 10 (when most high schools start) junior is grade 11 and senior is grade 12. So it's not that different, but it's kinda confusing to have different terms for grades XD luckily American TV has taught most Canadians the order of your school terms.

Could be either, take your pick. They may only have enrolled in their junior year or something, or could have attended since freshmen year.

(All these American grade levels are screwing me up hard XD)

Maybe I should make her younger, like a fresh graduate or maybe even a senior who just does a ton of shit in her spare time?
