Omega Man — Roleplayer Guild

Long Ago...


The Legendary He-Man fought alongside the Royal Guard and others as the Masters of the Universe. With his sword of power connected to the Sorceress and mystical Castle Grayskull, eventually the tyrant Skeletor was defeated and banished to another dimension. Prince Adam decided it was time to go abroad and He-Man disappeared. The Masters disbanded as there were no threats the Royal Guard of King Randor couldn't deal with themselves. Buzz Off went back to his people, Stratos went back to Avalon to lead the Birdmen, etc. All seemed to be well, at least for now...

Now, Ten Years Later...


Zodac returned to the planet Eternia, as a shift in the balance has his masters in the Cosmic Enforcers calling him into action. He visited King Randor and was not surprised He-Man had disappeared, however the King knew the Masters had to be reactivated. Recruiting members of the Royal Guard, the Birdmen of Avalon, and others, the new Masters of the Universe had to defend Eternia against the combined forces of Beast Man and his creature kingdom and Merman and his underwater abominations. Things only got worse when Snake Mountain became active again and serpentmen followers of King Hsss began trying to resurrect their leader. With He-Man gone, this could finally be the fall of Eternia...

This is where we come in...


The Masters of the Universe have had some pretty interesting concepts throughout their different incarnations and you can draw inspiration from any iteration. If you wanna make the spawn of Buzz Off your character have at it, another Birdman perhaps, or make an original with obvious 80's animation influences. You can take fan art of Ram Man that makes him look more like Marvel's Juggernaut and use that as inspiration. You can make Battle Cat a humanoid tiger man evolved from what he was in red armor if you want. Just no He-Man.  She Ra would be cool though! If you wanted to be a villain there's also that option you just couldn't use any of the one's mentioned above or somebody like Hordak. Everybody else would be fair game.

Age: [Prince Adam would be around thirty-five now, Man At Arms would be closer to fifty, King Randor pushing sixty or so, adjust accordingly...]

Experience: [How long have you been active, battling threats, surviving the land, been a member of the Royal Guard,etc...]
Appearance: [Even if it's an original, I'm sure you can find a piece of artwork to base the idea on]

Notes: [anything you might need to add like changes to a cannon, specifics not covered elsewhere, etc..]

Here's a link to some info about the regular Masters of the Universe with lists/links on the right side a little ways down on the page for members and enemies. You'd have to do a specific search for anything from the other variants on the He-Man franchise.

If I can get a group of around 6-8 players I think we may have enough to go on to move forward. However I'm looking for more completed CS's before starting too quickly. You don't have to be a huge He-Man fan to enjoy this. If swords and sorcery with a tad bit of tech involved is your thing, or you're a fan of 80's cartoons, this game is for you!

Just think of it as standard criminal ridden city, New52 ish with nods to the animated series. All you need to know is Wildcat/Ted Grant's gym is above our secret HQ in Gotham. Posted a map in the first couple pages of the OOC, can't remember if I linked it in the opening posts afterwards. Haven't played any of the Arkham games so I can't really pretend to base it off those and have any idea what I'm talking about. The map was a pretty basic layout of the city, with Grant's Gym being somewhere near the city. When I'm done with this He-Man iCheck I'll go back and look for it...

You can have him arriving in town the same time as the Man Owl attack. Read my last post or two in the IC and everyone's post afterwards to know where we're at in the current battle and what's already going on. With all the freaks and costumed people in Gotham nobody will bat an eyelash at a guy in renaissance gear getting off a greyhound bus...

I redesigned Northstar again [see avatar] cause just adding a starfield to his The End suit wasn't enough. And I don't care for white boots either so... now his symbol is on his shoulder and his suit's mostly black with a lined texture on the sides and gloves...

Did anyone else want an avatar that I missed? I'm all about keeping camaraderie high, even games I don't GM myself...

I changed 90% of the character... and you think I KEPT the elf ears? Not to mention his hair covers his ears... LOL

And dude... YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE BIG LEBOWSKI. Honestly, it's in my top 5 favorite movies of all time along with films like the Breakfast Club. I watch it at least 3 or 4 times a year...

Yeah just gimme some time to look over some stuff. If you go to comicvine.com and look at the Young Justice page you'll see there was a lot more stuff in the comics than the tv series that was a mix of YJ and the then current Teen Titans. The roster got huge before the end of it and included everyone from the Wonder Twins to the Supermen of America....

Yeah I'm gonna try and get caught up today. Yesterday I started a new job splitting wood for a guy, it's outside and currently the top temperatures are between 15-20 degrees on my side of Tennessee. Would've got online last night but as soon as I got home from the most exhausting and cold job I've had in over a decade, I had to put up new insulation around my pipes underneath my house. The last 36 hours have been horrible...
