I need to see some character sheets! I've almost got my Cyclops sheet finished, he'll be a somewhat less convoluted revolutionary X-Man released from jail specifically for this mission. He was doing time not for the events towards the end of A vs X [cause that ended differently this time, he was never Phoenix], but for his black ops X-Force shenanigans.

Any of that could be acceptable. Just depends on the quality of the sheet. A lot of story elements will come from the comics, so Ironman has traveled space with the GotG, and a version of Capt. Universe could presumably still have been a member of the Guardians at an earlier period in the group's history. I specifically left Venom off the Guardians roster in case somebody wanted to use Agent Venom or Space Knight Venom. Another symbiote could still work. Spiderman is a harder sell since you'd have to have the right voice and handle on the character, again it all just depends on the quality of the sheet and the iteration of the character presented.

The Story:

The Guardians of the Galaxy are lost in space. Starlord had been badly wounded and sent out a distress signal to the Avengers for any help they can provide. The Avengers are spread out across the board for various reasons with only one or two core members available. What will probably be called Avengers: Guardian Fall will be an RP where Tony Stark uses the Gemini armor to lead a team of would be Avengers to rescue the Guardians of the Galaxy from whatever foe threatens the universe and to save the life of Peter Quill. Cannons and originals welcome, as the Avengers Initiative will still be training several dozen heroes to become and one day replace the current Avengers if ever the need rises. Ironman will be a GM NPC to move things forward in the game and the enemies are still being determined.

The Cast:

The types of cannons we could use are characters with a unique power set like Vision, Cloud 9, Wonderman, Alex Power, or anybody with cosmic ties that may be on Earth or near the Milky Way Galaxy and easily enough contacted by Stark. Originals could range from the Avengers to the X-Men and anything in between. I'm hoping to have a well balanced team with power, some street level characters, and some wildcards. All heroes will be volunteering to go along with Ironman when he puts out the call. Any space themed heroes outside of Earth's orbit could be picked up on the way out in some new starship of Stark design. You can use whatever backstory you want for your heroes, they don't exactly have to be clones of a cartoon, movie, or comic counterpart.

The core Avengers are made up of Cap, Ironman, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk, Vision, and Scarlet Witch and one or two of them could tag along for the adventure. The Guardians are Starlord [wounded and stranded on an unknown planet], Drax, Gamora, Shadowcat, Rocket, and Groot. Players can choose to further the plot from the Guardians end as one of the cannons [not including Starlord] if they wish.

The Setting:

The game will begin at the launch of the team's ship, we'll still be in the Milky Way Galaxy, and most of the team if not all the team will already be on board. We'll track the fading signal to lost worlds, fight new aliens, and rescue the Guardians and their leader.

I'm only gonna accept 7 or 8 Character Sheets for this since the game clearly has a beginning and end. Might get picky with CS's as the idea is to hopefully RP with some new faces. Out of the 8 spots we'll say at least half of them have to be based on cannons [you could have Nova for example and just make a new wearer for the helmet], the other half can be more original. Just keep in mind this is still very much a Marvel Universe game, especially since it's hard to find characters who haven't been on a branch of the Avengers at some point. It's also why I went ahead and added Shadowcat to the GotG to give reason for any X characters to volunteer.

Was hoping for more originals rather than rehashes of already made Amalgams. Only one character per player, though Amalgams in your backstory were fine. Probably won't move forward with this since the interest doesn't seem to be high enough though. Sorry for anybody looking forward to this, I'll likely try at it again sometime later on. About to post a new iCheck up for any fans of Marvel themed stuff...

Powers: Lee possesses four times the strength, speed, and stamina of an Olympic level athlete. He also somewhat wields the energy of the 4th dimension to become flat and 2D as well as intangible and everywhere in a gaseous form. He can heal by the 1D means from most injuries that aren't immediately fatal but this requires great concentration and he appears to vanish for a time.

Weaknesses: When in regular 3D form, he can be overpowered and bullets and standard weaknesses apply for someone in light body armor.

BRIEF Bio: Lee was getting a late start in college at the age of twenty-six, however his life changed when he was abducted by creatures from the 5th Dimension called Mxyzkrulls. The short green shapeshifting aliens mimiced his human behavior, even taking on more standard humanoid appearances. However when the aliens opened him up, Lee's metahuman abilities kicked in and he became two dimesional and flat on their operating table. It would take him six months to finally escape and return to Earth.

Lee took on an identity of his own, the 4D Man, and began working with a branch of the government to take down shapeshifting enemies before joining the ranks of the JL:A.

Supporting cast/characters: Mxyzkrulls [Mister Mxyzptlk + Skrulls], 4D Man's main enemies and inhabitants of the 5th dimension. Shapeshifting powers as well as the ability to teleport across dimensions.

Amalgam Universe Notes:
* Took a couple of side characters to make somebody with more amalgamated abilities.

* Is a member of the Justice Legion: Avengers, and also served in the European version
of the team called the Justice Legion: Excalibur.

@Chaotic Chao Superboy and Iron Fist? Super Fist? I can dig it. I'm making my character a combo of 4D and 3D Man, the Universe Boy thing was just my first idea and gave birth to the idea of Bizzaro Universe Man being among Dark Skull's army.

@DoubleBlue Beetle and Ant Man is a nice combo, the Blue Ant maybe? With the backstory I wouldn't get too into it to leave more options for potential players.

However when I googled for Amalgams, I found this and liked the idea...
