"What?"

Julian, absent in his mind as well as his surroundings, hadn't payed attention to anything since he told Wasula to follow him. Something troubled him, something that he clearly had to carry with a heavy heart and mind, as the unlikely duo of Cowboy and Indian walked…somewhere. It wasn't the fear of the coming chase for the horses; it wasn't the ridicule or frowns of the townsfolk once they'd all hear about this; it wasn't his fear that Wasula might abandon him somewhere out on the prairie for him to die, or worse, stab him in the back. No, it was his father's words, and his mother's look. It was his brother.

The young cowboy gave a blank look at Wasula when she quickened her pace, coming up beside him and taking the lead. It was as if he hadn't heard her question, though he had. It just took a while for the absent-minded cowboy to realize what he questions was. His absent eyes focused on Wasula, his back straightening back up and his stride regaining a sense of purpose, as he looked at his Indian friend. Friend?

"Oh yes, my brother…It was a long time ago, when I was just a kid. He went out one night, determined to find some outlaws stealing our cattle. Chris…Christopher never returned. That's why my father and mother reacted like that, not because of you. I don't think you're a 'savage'…" Julian's words were loaded with emotion, a sense of sadness and remorse filling his tounge as the words escaped, yet precise in their statement. To people unfamiliar with Julian, they'd probably find pity in his brother's fate and move on. But to those that knew him, maybe they could sense something else; perhaps an rehearsed line and untold facts?

Who knew what Wasula would think of them?

Julian turned his gaze away from Wasula, realizing he was letting his eyes wander over her slender body in ways he barely had done to other girls…women. Even for his saddened words, he found some comfort in simply looking at her, like at least she was something good in that God-forsaken spot of land. But he didn't tell her, that would be wrong. Instead he looked forward, into the distant horizon. "Where to? I'm following you it would seem."

Alexander Polawski

Location:The Meeting

So that was why they were going to Eden. That was the conversation Alexander had missed out on when he saw sobbing in the tank earlier. And that was why he were going to join them; Revenge, and from the sound of it, a just type of revenge. There was no doubt that Thalia was taking it seriously, now with her war-paint and call-sign all done. This was serious. At least for her, not for Lola. She was doing this for the fun of it. And in some sense, he didn't blame her all that much. When he went to 'Nam, he did it for pretty much the same reason, albit he changed his mind afterwards. But those days, with so much death around, was it all that different than simply killing time?

"I'm in. " Alexander said to Lola, following her up onto the tank and waiting for her to climb down into it. He turned to the other survivors around the tank, uncertain of what to feel. At the one hand they were going to raise some piece of Hell, probably bringing back some unwanted memories to the old soldier. But on the other, they had more fighters now, and a tank. If they were going to raise Hell, perhaps they would be the demons doing it, not the other side?

"Alexander Polawski…Alexander or Alex are both fine." He said out loud to their new brothers in arms at first, but stopped himself for two thoughts. Firstly, did he want to give away his military past to these people? Did it matter? And second, he remembered something. Jumping down from the tank, Alexander jogged quickly towards the pickup truck's passenger side, trying to get Thana's attention. "By the way, got a radio? Might not be a bad idea to have some comms open during this little endevour." Alexander said, pulling out his radio and turning it on. While it hadn't been of much use during his tea-set mission, this might be different.
Haakon J. Elvsgaard

Location:Qasr El Nil Barracks

Haakon couldn't have agreed more to Josephine's words of freedom, finally giving a smile of relief. True, the Lord Major's trust in Haakon was running on a thin line right now, but for now he, and Jo, were on the ride side of it. He was about to question her for their next course of action, when he too caught the sight of a familiar face coming towards them. Aziza Tarek, the woman in question a mere moment earlier in Haakon's questioning, now there. Curious.

Was there such a thing as fate? Haakon doubted it, normally, but now…

And just like that, Haakon missed the chance to say a word of sincerity to Aziza, simply getting in a polite nod to her before she had made her way to the Lord Major's door. It would seem that the honourable gentleman of the British Army were having a busy day.

Haakon turned back to Josephine, at first not quite following what she said. The plan? But it didn't take long for him to pick up what she wanted, which was the same idea he himself had contemplated a few moments ago. "The museum? I don't see any solid reason not to, frankly. Might be able to make our presence in current company less tense too. After you, Jo Dear." Haakon said to Josephine, holding out his hand towards the door and waiting for her to take the lead. "Ladies and Resiliant movies stars first."

Mahendra Huq Zalil

Location:The Egyptian Museum

Again? Had Mahendra done it, again? The proud Bengali, defender of the Suez and scholar of London, had fainted? Twice? Mahendra's eyes started to reopen, once again beholding the impressive architecture of the office's ceiling from his prone position at the floor. A bead of sweat ran down his forehead, down beside his eye and into his sweaty moustache. It tickled, and annoyed him.

"Miss…Miss Ridgeway? Could…could you be a dear and fetch me another glass of water? I seem to have…befallen a sort of dehydration, I think…"

He lied, well kind of. He was thirsty, that was so much as true. But why he had fainted? Twice? No he knew himself too well, and still saw the image of George burned onto his eyes, forever to haunt him unless he manned up and soldiered on. But for now he didn't include that into is explaination, and tried to avert his eyes from George as much as humanly possible as he tried to stand up. "I'm okay, thank you. Probably wouldn't be strong enough either way. I'm born Bengali, you see." He tried to laugh it of.
I'll have a post up within a few hours!

Lady of the Lake?

Haakon J. Elvsgaard

Location:Qasr El Nil Barracks

"Thank you, Sir."

Haakon's exit was quick and low-key so to speak. As soon as the Lord Major had given him his permission to leave, Haakon took the chance and left. Sure he wasn't running for the door, but he made sure to make his steps a little longer then they used to. As soon as he got through the door, passing the soldier as quickly as possible, he was out. Out and with Josephine again.

It was a breath of fresh air to see Josephine again, even if their separation had been only brief minutes, at most half an hour of the day. But unlike the others, as Haakon felt it at least, she wasn't looking down upon him. As he came into view of her, he felt like he could breath out for the first time in ages, and smiled. "You were right, Jo. Wasn't too bad all things considered. Looks like we're still in the race, it would seem."

"Fa…fainted?" Mahendra stuttered out towards the ceiling, still feeling quite dizzy from what had just happened, which was very unlike him. Both the stuttering and the fainting; those things were for men and women with little backbone and jumpy hearts, not like Mahendra knew he was. Or how he used to think of himself at least. A great sense of shame showered over him at the thought of his appearance there, lying at the floor like some…some…woman.

He did however welcome the care that Lauren gave him, even if he felt shameful. Mahendra gave her a tired smiled and thankfully accepted the glass of water she had offered. It felt good, the cold(er) liquid on his somehow pourched lips, like they had been exposed to the desert heat too long. He even felt a bit better in general! He was about to rise up when Laura told him to take it easy. "I apprieciate your concern, Miss Ridgeway, but I feel beeeeee…"

Mahendra had not gotten his head a foot up from the bed before his eyes once again met the sight of George's half-face. Again his inability to control his body seized Mahendra like a punch to the face, and he fell back onto his pillow. This was shameful, especially in the company of women.

Alexander Polawski

Location:The Meeting

Alexander looked at the various survivors of what little piece of Hell that had just happened, though his main concern was his two unlikely aquintances and especially Lola once he saw the trickle of blood on her forehead. Either they had been lucky in that the ground hadn't swallowed them whole, or Lola's madness was too much for even the Devil himself to take. Alexander didn't answer her question of what had happened at first. He simply couldn't, and the others didn't seem particularly interested in giving her an answer either, so he felt compelled to say something. "…no idea Lola, no idea…"

"Wait, Eden…killing? What did I just miss just now?"

His understanding of the situation far from improved as the others began to talk about killing someone in a place called Eden. Alexander, not certain of what the heck was going on, looked in disbelief at Lola as she seemed to jump on the bandwagon like the others, begging Thalia for permission to go on the hunt as well.

"When did we decide on this? And…" Alexander paused, rubbing his jaw while trying to figure out what to say next. He wasn't a killer, not anymore, but still… "I guess I can't leave you two alone. Not if you're going to put yourselves in danger." It would seem the old belief of brothers in arms weren't dead to the old soldier.
@Mattchstick Exactly!

As far as the thing goes unnamed. Now that it has a name, Heavy has the Giggles ;)
@Lady AmaltheaNah, I'll make it, but thank you ^^ I will have something up tonight.
