Overlord Thraka — Roleplayer Guild

Hello there! I am Overlord Thraka, commonly called OT! I am looking for some 1x1 fun!

Little bit about myself: I'm a 20 year old guy from the US, and I love RPing. I was introduced into it about 2 years ago, and fell in love with it. After a while, the incredibly long running thread I was a part of another site started falling apart, and finally 5 months ago I decided I wanted to branch out, so I started my search. I hunted through site after site, trying to find the perfect site for me. Finally I came across RPGuild and after a few minutes browsing, I signed up! I started off slowly, but after some practice really started getting into the thick of things. Up until I joined this site, I'd only ever done Free-RP, it's all I'd ever known. But then when I came here and saw the casual level, I was hooked. SO now I post casual-high casual and enjoy the crap out of everything here.

Alright, now that boring history of me is out of the way, here's to other boring stuff

Rules!

- I post at a Casual-high/Advanced level, depending on my partner. I'll generally post a similar amount of paragraphs to my partner, but normally I'm 3+ per post, and I will in general expect the same of you. One liners will get you sent straight back to wherever it is you came from, but don't feel like you need to hold back either. Go all out with how much you want to post, just make sure it's more than a one liner please.

- 18 and older only please. Some of these RP's can go down some pretty dark rabbit holes, and while I'm not doubting you young'uns ability to handle such subject matter, for my own personal comfort (And possibly legal reasons) I'll only be accepting 18+ partners. Sorry :/

- Please do use grammar, it makes your posts hard to read without it.

- If you're going to be away for a longer period of time, please tell me. I'm impatient lol.

- While I don't require full CS's, I like to have one that at least gives a proper physical description plus any pictures you may have. Nothing personality wise, just purely physical.

- Finally I am looking for someone who can post 3+ times a week. Preferably at least once every couple days or more!. This might not be so much of an issue if our posts end up being really long detailed ones, but for shorter ones like 2-3 paragraphs, I'd like to see you post often, as I'll be doing the same thing.

And finally now THAT'S out of the way we can get to the fun stuff!

Ideas!

Now, I only do Fantasy. It's all I've ever really been interested in. Modern bores me to tears, and I just don't much like RPing Sci-Fi. I want to be transported to another world full of Elves and Orcs and Demons, not into the future with... Eldar... and Orks... and Daemons- Okay bad example, but still! My point stands! Fantasy! Bam!

Romance is certainly an option, though not a necessity. I enjoy it when it's well written and not instant, so that's on the table if you'd like to pursue that kind of thing. 

Ideas! Yes! These are some plots I'd like to try out, but if none of these interest you then WORRY NOT! PM me some ideas and maybe we'll come to a mutual arrangement!

Serial Killer plot - Tentatively Open
There is a killer loose in the city of Nurumburg. But the streets are fuller than ever in the dead of night. Crime is down, and the general populace is feeling far less afraid of the darkness than ever, for this killer is not your normal killer. They are targeting the Criminals. Dozens of criminals, from the lowliest pickpocket to even one of the highest crimelords in the city have been brutally slain in a manner so violent that even the steeliest of stomachs has been emptied upon seeing the grisly sights. 

Your character wants to uphold the law, even at the risk of crime going back up. There's a very real chance that once most of the criminals in the city are dead this killer may turn upon the innocent. You take on the task of hunting the killer. Perhaps you're a local law-officer, a mercenary after a bounty, or just a concerned soul. I will play the killer as well as a side character to work with yours,

Dark Vengeance - CLOSED
Mergoux want's revenge on the being who stole her life from her. She was only a child when the beast took her family from her, and took her as his slave, for over 14 years before her escape. Now, the hardened warrior woman wants revenge, and she's going to do everything in her power to get it. 

Your character is her ally in this adventure. You are perhaps her long-time ally and friend, or just someone else who's life has been impacted by the slaver who ruined Mergoux's life.

Rage of Lions  CLOSED
Gharn Werefang is a lonely young Werelion, lost on the path of life as he seeks his goal without much of a sense of hope. 5 years before the RP starts, his entire Tribe was hunted down by humans, who wanted the pelts and hides of his people. They were poachers, after Werebeast hides to sell to rich Elvish, Dwarvish and Human nobles willing to pay an arm and a leg for them. His goal now is to find them, and rescue his sister, who was only a cub when the poachers took her along with the bodies of the rest of his tribe. 

Your character is perhaps someone who helps him, comes across him while traveling or something and helps him. Finally gives him some direction in life, or at least helps him to achieve his goal. Perhaps Gharn and your character become romantically involved, or perhaps they just become good friends through hardship, which seems to follow Gharn everywhere he goes. This idea would involve romance, which the other two really wouldn't as much.

The Wandering Knight. - CLOSED

Horace is a Knight of the Order of the Red Scale. An order dedicated to slaying beasts and protecting people, and Horace is very good at his job. What he's not good at, are following the order's strict rules. Horace fights monsters to protect people, but also it's because it's what he's best at, and what he finds fun! The higher ups deem his methods unsightly and improper, but being that he's their most successful Slayer in nearly 300 years, they give him a task. To wander the wide world and do his job, only to return once he's done the impossible, slain a Dragon, Imprisoned a High Demon and Saved a Kingdom. Confident they're rid of his embarrassing behavior, they ignore him, allowing the carefree man to wander the world, slaying monsters, saving people, and bedding bar-maidens as he pleases. 

The idea here is you play someone who joins up with Horace out of need, or convenience, or necessity. The two characters become friends, and we go from there!

Jirah's loss. - OPEN!

Jirah the Werecheetah hates humans, she hates them more than anything. Her and her mate lived on the edge of the Great Eastern Forest, living peacefully together after they decided to venture from their home together. Jirah was even expecting a litter of cubs, but when human loggers moved into the area, they were frightened by the Werecheetah's, even though the Cats meant no harm. Attacking in the dead of night with bows and arrows, Jirah's mate was killed, and she was so gravely wounded that she lost the cubs. Now she wants revenge on the humans for ruining her life.

Your character is whatever you want it to be basically. It could be a wandering Knight who stops Jirah and instead refocuses her anger on something or someone else. It could be a troublemaker who helps her commit her murders, it could be a townsperson who manages to help her seek true justice for those responsible, it could be a lot of things, who it is would ultimately be up to you!

A New World - OPEN!
Your character lives in a fairly bog-standard Fantasy land, plenty of monsters, Elves, knights and dragons, but instead of many wizards, there are tremendously few. Usually less than ten alive at any given time across the known world. Your character is either A) and explorer or B) Whoever you want, but the point is that you set out with a crew of men, women, Elves, Half-Orcs, etc in search of a new land. You set sail across the fabled Endless Ocean, a voyage no-one has ever returned from, though many have tried.

Sailing across it is mostly mundane, though the rising tension of sailing into endless abyss becomes more realized once food stores run too low to make a return trip in time. You've gone too far already, the only hope is to sail onwards and hope you don't fall off the edge of the world.

Finally, only a few days before supplies run out, your mighty ship makes landing on a beach, bordered by a dense jungle. Upon your first night there, you and your crew run across a native or two, tribal peoples who run off when they see you. They look human, of various races and ethnic backgrounds. 

However as night falls you are beset upon not by the Tribal natives, but the beings known as High-Beasts, great civilizations who rule over the jungle and the land you've discovered. Instead of wanting to negotiate, or learn more about you however, they simply want one thing. To capture you all and bring you to their temple to slaughter you Aztec style, as they've done to all 'Seacrossers' before. You manage to escape with help from a Tribal local, but the chase is on. It's up to you to fight back, survive against the onslaught of High-Beasts, lest you end up with your final moments being spent staring at your own heart in the hand of a priest.

I'm perfectly open to other plots as well, these are just some of the ideas I had. In fact, please feel free to suggest plots, as I'm looking for something new to try! Something I've not done before that could be a lot of fun!

For plots not involving mine up there these are what I'd be open to playing. Again if you have another interest please feel free to PM me with your ideas! Bold indicates what I would prefer to play. Race interests mean I'm open to any class being played, and Class interests mean I'm open to those being any race. (You pick Knight x Merc they don't have to be human. They can be anything you want) And yes, I know, lots of Werebeast stuff... I have a problem...

Do note that my Werebeasts don't follow the usual rules of Werewolves and the like. They are a race of peoples with shapeshifting abilities, not humans bitten and cursed to transform only at the full moon. I realize some people prefer the cursed form, but I do not. My Werebeasts can Shapechange at will, and retain their human mind. Please don't ask to do the cursed kind, as it will be revoked.

*Her instincts tell her something's off about Laura, but she's just an old woman she reasons with herself, what harm can an old woman do?*

*Thoth nods and stands over the grave. He begins speaking in a language not of this earth, but even though verbally he is incomprehensible, his voice rings through everyone's minds, echoing in the language they know best*
Thoth: We lay thee to rest Great Elder. Once known as Hephaestus the Blacksmith, Nergal the Bloody and now known as Horus the Avenger. May you move swiftly to join Danu in the skies, overseeing us all and casting your gaze on those you care for most. Maybe the humani remember you throughout time eternal as the great power you were in life. Rest now, and worry no more. Your time is done, and you are at peace. 

*The air around Horus shimmers and a golden casket forms around him. Gleaming brightly in the sunlight as Thoth holds out one hand, guiding it into the earth. There's a soft thud as the casket reaches the bottom of the pit, and Jilial starts to sob again. Thoth clicks his fingers and the scattered earth moves and refills the grave, burying Horus instantly. Finally, Thoth closes his eyes and concentrates, the air shimmering over the grave. Slowly, a Golden Statue of Horus fades into existence, marking his eternal resting spot. The Statue is of him with his arms crossed and what can pass for a smile on his falcon features*

*Thoth sighs, walks over to the statue and using one finger, writes in the base of the statue as if it were still liquid. He writes "Here lies Horus the Avenger, Great Warrior, Loving Partner and Protector of Humankind". He backs off a few paces to admire his work then sighs*
Thoth: I... am not particularly capable when it comes to aiding those grieving loss.
*He looks at Jilial then at the others*
Thoth: Does she have someone to care for her? I fear that she may lose herself, she was the Goddess of Love after all, and this blow... may break her if it hasn't already.
