Ta~Da!
Charlotte and Muffet

For any regular human, today was like any other, but a small number that had a true vision for what was going on could see wonders happening before their very eyes. For example, just on the limits of a human settlement there was a rather particular traveler coming into town. It was pretty hard to miss exactly why this traveler was, oh so, particular. From the ground up, this travel was mounted on an unnaturally large, hairy arachnid. Its skin black as the night, with golden-tipped hairs shooting out from everywhere. The spider was crudely strapped to a makeshift silvery silken saddle with large fluffs cushioning the rider's bottom, and various different bags clung to sticky silk in a neat and orderly fashion.

The rider was perhaps even more 'colorful' than the mount. Adorned in very loose fitting clothing, the woman appeared to be from a very old traveling circus as her clothes appeared to have aged poorly in color, losing a once magnificent shine. The woman had purple-grayish skin tone, black hair, almost looking wig-like, on the top of her head, six long, bony arms that were all doing a different task, and finally five brilliantly shining eyes that in an sort of pearlescent black, appearing purple depending on the light.

"Now, now. Proper form, Muffet, darling." Several clicks and chatters was the reply before the rider, and owner of the voice, felt an adjustment in her mount. "Mm. Adequate. Remember your manners, dearie. We mustn't make a bad impression in front potential suitors, lest we are shamed out of town again." The rider hummed with genuine cheer in her voice, eventually giggling to herself as if laughing at her own joke.

Despite the rather ridiculous sight, nobody batted an eye or even glanced in the direction of the advancing spider as if it were a normal occurrence. Of course they couldn't see it, but that still did not dampen visual of what was actually happening. For the most part, however, the spider stepped around any unwary human which as you expected went completely unnoticed, except if the human happened to have an animal in its vicinity. Horses would buck, dogs would bark, cattle would panic, and birds would squawk as they could clearly see a predatory animal waltz right down the cobbled path and into the boarders of the town.

Once buildings started to adorn the sides of the street in an orderly fashion, Muffet, the spider, climbed her way up the buildings and carried on, crawling along the side of the building. The rider, Charlotte, remained glued to her seat and noticeably unphased, only repositioning her umbrella to shade her from the sun, and to wave at the many spiders that were crawling out of their holes to witness the passing 'queen'.

After only a few buildings, a certain aroma filled the sensory portions both Charlotte's and Muffet's hairs. "Mmm. Delectable..." Charlotte said with a shiver of rapture as the particular aroma of bloodshed could be 'smelled' nearby. Charlotte took one of her hands and gently tapped her mount, giving the nonverbal signal for finding what could be a delicious treat.

Only a building away, Muffet climbed up around the building that was attracting quite some attention. Circling the exterior of the building, Muffet eventually settled right above the door, right as the three figures at the center of attention had just about finished their squabble. Charlotte bent down with gravity to hang upside-down from Muffet's side. "A wonderful show!" Charlotte hollered from her perch. If the three of them hadn't seen Charlotte at this point, they surely would have noticed her now, and of course Charlotte could recognize that neither were likely truly human seeing as they had notice of the beast, which wouldn't appear in the natural world. "~Good day!~♫!" Charlotte sung in delight as hung upside down. "It would be a pleasure to eat you all." Her smile widened as she started to giggle from her own joke.
A Dance with Death: The Pas de Corps

Despite hardly knowing each other, it was touching that John was already slotting into the role of a protector. He was quickly filling a void that was created when Carl had met his untimely end. The thought of safety and John's 'pep talk' right outside the station put a very anxious Ana at ease, perhaps too. Once inside, Ana's posture changed and she looked comfortable. A small collection of survivors had gathered it seemed and Ana took stock of what she thought might be her long-term roommates. They all looked fairly inviting at a first glance, save for the other newcomer. Chase. The man looked rough around the edges, bearing dirt and scars which contrasted John quite a bit. He looked like the very image that Carl had tried to paint in Ana's head when referencing criminals and Ana noticeably stiffened in her apprehension as the man first spoke to her. She forced herself to relax, plastering a friendly smile on her face, but never found the words for her reply.

A muffled rifle shot would sound out, causing Ana to glance around the room nervously but nobody seemed too alarmed. She ask what it could have meant or otherwise, because she was probably the least experienced in the room when it came to that judgement.

---

After some stiff introductions and brief conversation, Ana was given a tour by the seemingly friendly Douglas, who seemed to be in charge here. The place was... well it wasn't up to Ana's still preserved standards of fine living, but she kept the comments to herself. It was a funny thing but Ana had secretly been hoping for a more 'homely' place to settle down in and not a makeshift home in a office or whatever it was. Of course she was still grateful that she had finally kind of found parts of the world she had forgotten, namely other people. Ana was already passively imaging the scenario were life would kind of return to normal and nothing bad would happen.

At some point in the tour, their tour leader noted that more arrivals were coming, or rather, had arrived. Ana had just started to become satisfied with the number they had and now more of them were coming? She didn't know exactly how to process it, but the others seemed comfortable enough to walk out there. It didn't help put Ana's worries entirely out of her mind, though. But again, she was more than satisfied with the others handling it while she remained safe inside.

The three men barged out to greet the newcomers while Ana waited by the front door, anxiously trying to listen in and know what is going on. She was so focused that she didn't notice that Chase, who was noticeably absent during the tour, was headed for the door. He startled Ana, causing her to jump a bit, as he sort of unexpectedly appeared. Stranger still, he had removed his shirt. His 'odd' behavior didn't go unnoticed and Ana clutched her sidearm tightly in her hand, reassuring her. It took a bit of encouragement, but she managed to find her voice again. "Err, what are you doing?" Ana inquired right as the man reached the door. While waiting for his reply, she had taken a step back as if prepared to flee the worst of what her imagination had come up.

And I'm back again.

@Pirouette example unicorns are seen as white mares, manticores as lions, Cytres as monkeys, etc when in front of many humans. Humans that can see usually try to capture or kill mythicals.

Ah that's what I needed. Well I'll make her stroll into town and witness the tavern squabble.
@Pirouette Most everyone active in the RP is in town save my npcs, Lady Amalthea and Wallace; they are in the castle itself. Lady Amalthea and Wallace are in the main corridor. The red bull recently awakened under the castle and sent a shock way through it.

The town and castle, it seems common people know of mythical things, yea?
@Pirouette Okay, that works for me. Move her over to the cs page and enter. Since you are coming in late, I will give you the option to being part of those in the castle if you wish. There are underground caves and caverns that connect in the bottom of the castle and since its residents know of mythicals you can use it as a jumping off point. If not enter wherever.

Perhaps a brief rundown on who is where?
@Pirouette The cs looks good, I have a question though. A big premise of this rp is that mythicals tend to forget who they are truly when in a human form. Now your character is in a mythical form, but what seems to be a restrained verse, will this effect her memory? Also, flipping back and forth between true and altered forms is very rare in this rp, life altering experiences have to take place. Will this be an issue?

Ah yes, Charlotte does not remember her origin at all. She is aware that she can manipulate spiders and looks like a spider, but she doesn't remember her time as a villain or that she is a full on Drider, instead she believes she is some weird spider breed.

Secondly, Charlottes pacified form is a bit of a far cry from her original. However, I had in mind that Charlotte is pretty proud of her uniqueness and as far as she could remember, she never wanted to change. She'll be able to remember slightly more than others at the start but the overall result is that Charlotte is a bit loopy. And she cannot alternate her true form and her pacified form, she doesn't remember a true form.

Ultimately, it might be considered bad for all if Charlotte switches forms. Drider's are naturally evil and Charlotte was no exception.
So my influence is obvious, but hopefully I did a good job at it. I could dive into more detail about a lot of things, like why did "Charlotte become pacified?" or "Why are they invisible?", but overall, I thought that is better left explained in character.
