Just until Yang almost gets beat.

Is the hitman no one specific?
Should I play the hit man, too? Or no?

Shortly after episode 16, I was thinking Yang's out for a walk and she's attacked by the hit man.

Gotcha!

No, no you don't have to. I'm using that for your convenience. You can go ahead and do the first post.

Okay... Um. Exactly what would Yang be doing to set up your scenario?
D-did you want me to write something for Yang?
I think I know enough about RWBY to do one of these. Preferably Yang.
Elena rolled her eyes and smirked at the man's compliment as if to say Really?. It wasn't so much that Elena appreciated compliments or a man's charm, but this is the last place she'd be expecting it. "Very well, Simon." She answered as she took his offered arm up to the bus. This guy must love to schmooze and judging by his pony tail and piercings, he may not get to do it too often so Elena indulged him. "Nothing too complicated. Party settings aren't all that secure because it would annoy the guests and in this case, I'm guessing very prominent and powerful guests. No party host, no matter how paranoid, would bother their guests with security checks. I imagine there will be a single security checkpoint to check for weapons and such. You might consider offering that assistance to Team Two, who might have to bypass security securing our target's data."

While Simon began uploading his phone to the bus, Elena glanced around the crammed tech wagon that seemed really uncomfortable. "My background is simple..." She responded, "European models are always invited by wealthy party goers to impress other party guests. They pay modeling agencies for the girls and the girls are expected to treat the man, or women in some cases, to one of the best nights they've ever had." She turned her attention back to Simon. "Put me on the roster of an modeling agency and make sure I get hired as an escort. After that I know what to do. There is however a second thing..." Elena paused, trying to think over how to approach a solution. "I have a second man in my team and I need him to have a good alibi for being there. A guest list might give us the leg up on who or what my second man should be. Find it and we sho-.." A sudden blare over the intercom interrupted her.

"What the hell could she possibly want?" She looked over at Simon, giving him a suspicious glance not necessarily directed at him but the situation in general. "Well whatever... seems like a waste of time but fine. Let's go."
Elena took one more glance around the room, analyzing who was left: Not-subtle guy, the man smoking, or that other guy. Personally speaking, Elena would have preferred to keep her team small to lighten the work she'd have but also because another person increases the chance of getting caught. More people meant more opportunities for breaks in stories which would lead to more raised eyebrows which then would lead to discovery. Nah, Elena felt fine with her team of two, but if anyone absolutely wanted to join, they'd best hurry and catch her before she spoke with Eight.

Satisfied, she grabbed her mission documents and walked out of the room and made for the vehicle pool in the underground garage. On her way down there, her plan was already starting to manifest. Her false identity was easy and flexible, but that other guy, who knows how well he could act the part. For safety sake, it would have to be simple but believable. That's why having a tech aid will provide that flexibility to her partner's identity.

Elena finally found the large HQ vessel and a pair of scrawny legs poking out. She knocked on the side of the vehicle before talking. "Eight. It's me, Elena."
"Then good luck." Elena said as she uncomfortably sat through another salute. It was nice to see his excitement. It made for a nice change of pace but at the same time, it was so obscure in a professional environment that it was kind of unsettling.

Once again before Elena could get up and leave, another person was asking for her attention. Only this person wasn't present in the room. "Correct, Eight. I'm not only good at disguises but also false identities and the like." Eight's real name, whatever that set of letters and numbers were, was ridiculous by Elena's standards, but to each there own. Hopefully this guy was worth his weight and could help her out with some of the more technical stuff. "Before I go.. Eight. You and I need to talk. In person. A good alibi means nothing if they background check every guest at that party."

yeah some idea of what teams every one else is on would be great. Sure we know Simon and Elena are on certain teams. Where does everyone report too?

If I might offer input here... Since this is a professional setting, I figured everyone would just be responsible for finding a team that best suits them. All it would take would just be talking to the team leads and the team leads will make sure to manage their team so they don't so congested.
