No that's fine. I'll post tonight since I don't have anything else going on.

Edit:

Going to edit my post slightly tomorrow morning. OPM is all about ridiculous strength so Red's one-handed cleave would probably severely damage the last two segments of the centipede droid.
The walk to the supposed target's house had gone uneventful. No mass panicking, no chaos, no monster. Yet. When you have done this hero business for awhile, you start to get this feeling in the air that something was about to go wrong, that something was lurking nearby ready to strike. It maybe was a feeling of intuition, coming from the job experience, or it might be this super deep connection that all heroes have. Whatever the case, something was going to happen but there was no telling what.

The stakeout of the target's house would happen inside a nearby bakery with a nice front window that concealed enough behind the stacks of strategically placed pastries to prevent easy detection from anything else watching. Most times, keeping hidden wasn't necessary if you were on protection duty, experience dictated. Monsters and villains tend to be a bit unstable and really don't pay attention to the Hero Rankings as much as they should. Thus, they often underestimated just how strong Red was when it came down to brass tacks. But as always, there were exceptions. Particularly cunning villains or monsters would know the Hero Association well. Sizing up the opponent in a fight was crucial and the villains always had an advantage in determining just how strong a hero might be. The heroes, not so much, as there was a broad spectrum within an associated threat class. A cunning villain knew just how to take advantage of that.

Anyway, Red's stakeout was rather brief, only lasting long enough for an episode on TV to pass before activity would force some type of action from Red. A large blue mechanoid was moving across the rooftops just across the street. "Is it ours?" Red finally broke silence for the first time today. Her voice soft and soothing with a particular proclivity for crisp, correct pronunciation. "Eehhh.. Let me check.", Blue responded continuing to flicker as it processed information rapidly. "Yea, look at that. Azure Automation. Recently promoted Class A."

Red nodded more for her own confirmation of the facts than to mean anything to anyone else. It appears she wasn't the only one suspecting trouble here possibly. Going back to the whole stakeout thought, it seemed like what little cover Red had was blown, which wasn't a big deal. She isn't exactly very low-profile herself as an easily identifiable hero. So no harm in introducing herself at least and more than a curiosity, see what exactly the Azure Automation was doing here. Blue did say that more mechanized beings were assaulting these workers and it would be foolish to simply eliminate Azure simply because he was a hero. If angels can fall, heroes can too.

Red stepped outside the bakery and glanced up to the rooftops. She picked a roof ahead of Azure's path and took a great leap towards it, using her enhanced biology to leap far enough and fast enough to reach halfway before vanishing a blue flash. She reappeared in a similar flash right before Azure. "Hey, Azure, pal. Just passing through?" the Transistor spoke up asking Marx directly. Red merely quietly watched him as she awaited his answer.

@Mangrale

Sorry got pulled into some work/school briefly.

Anyway, I'm perfectly fine with what you said in your last post. I'll write something here shortly.

Edit: Probably your next post will be time for the attack. Marx is free to engage first as Red would probably take a bit of a backseat at first to size Marx up a bit and determine his loyalty. Plus, she can't see invisible things.
Beginnings are always tough...

There was a high pitched shriek as a girl cried out, drawing the attention of nearby passerbyers. Some people, more experienced in the matter than others, were quick to be alarmed at such a sound fearing that their worst days were about to be relived. Frantically searching for what could draw the shrill shriek, all eyes that cared found the emitter. A girl, young, maybe fourteen, was covering her eyes while her parents looming behind her, bewildered as they looked upon their daughter's sudden fright. They lifted their gaze from their daughter to where she had looked just moments before. For a brief moment, they didn't understand but then they knew.

"Aah, wow!" The mother leaned over in an excited whisper to the father. "That's the S class hero, Red!" The father nodded, appearing just as excited. It was their daughter's lucky day, it seemed. She was going to meet her celebrity idol! Slowly others came to realization when they saw who was among them. There wasn't any mistaken Red. Especially not with that glowing blue sword and her namesake, her red hair. Once the realization was made, many went back to doing what they were doing, however the girl who shrilled had finally peaked her head out, gleaming in a giddy smile at Red who was just now dismounting her motorcycle.

"Hey Red, I think you have an admirer.", Red's sword, the The Transistor hummed in a soothing voice as the red 'eye' of the sword flickered with each word. Red brought her attention to the girl alongside her parents. It was difficult not to smile but a weakly bent smile appeared on Red's face as she met the eyes of her fan. She swung the Transistor over her shoulder and a approached the girl, who was frozen in overwhelming excitement as she was meeting her idol. Red bent forward slightly and placed her available hand onto the girl's shoulder giving it a light squeeze as Red's weak smile bent upward slightly more on her right side in a sort of smirk. The girl looked as if she was going to melt so Red took that cue to release the girl and straighten back up. She gave both parents a small smile and walked around the small family, continuing down the sidewalk. As she walked by, the Transistor hummed back to the family. [color=00aeef]"It was nice to meet ya.[/i]

Red couldn't stay. She couldn't make that girl's day anymore than she just did. It wasn't that Red didn't feel anything from that, she felt great, fulfilled for the day even, but the whole occasion was marred by her true purpose here. Somewhere in City J a Demon-level threat was running around butchering small families just like that girl and her parents back there. A threat which Red was capable of responding to, but with a major problem: The thing, whatever it is, was hiding nearby. Something was motivating this thing to strike randomly and then vanish before it could be dispatched by someone capable. Why? Red hadn't a clue. Blue (Transistor) had thought it was striking at key targets like an assassin. In the recent attacks made by this thing, there were cases of a few individuals being linked together through some sort of tech company. Could be coincidence as the tech company was large and located in City J, but this city was too big to not rule out the possibility.

According to Blue, the next target might live in this area. If he lived in this area, it meant the target most likely be found here which meant the monster was likely nearby as well. However, what Blue didn't know was that the target wasn't home at the moment. The man was on his way back from his usual jog, several blocks away. A route so predictable that the thing stalking the man, decided to intercept him on his route instead of at his house.

Name: Red
Age: 27
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Rank: S9

Personality: Red's quite a quiet gal ever since she got her voice stolen away. Even after she recovered it, talking hasn't been her thing all that much anymore. If you can look past that, she is a pretty gentle soul most of the time. While she is very kind to those that are deserving, she kind of prefers the lonely road as that is all she knows at this point. Sadly, she seems to lack a sense of humor as the poor voice in her sword can attest to. As such, she is pretty serious and motivated to accomplish what she sets her mind, too.

Bio: Red isn't really sure what she wants anymore. She keeps thinking she wants to go back to the way things were before the Process stole her voice. Back when she was a talented singer and when the voice in her sword still had a body... A human body. However the more she wanders around, the less she isn't sure if she wants to go back. But she made a promise to that ever present voice in the Transistor that she had to change things to go back in time. To fix the wrongs done to the both of them. So that's what she is prepared to do, ready to face anything ahead of her.

Abilities:
Transistor is Red's sword and you could probably also say what's left of her fiance as his soul is trapped within the electrical components of the Transistor. Due to this odd occurrence, the Transistor has been uniquely gifted with a voice and an adapted AI of sorts. It is uniquely connected with its user to provide each other with a symbiosis. The basics of the Transistor are as follows:

Functions() are mods to the Transistor that allow it and its user, in this case Red, to perform unique actions and well as provide passive benefits to the wielder.

Usage of Functions costs the sword energy and while it can regenerate energy, it cannot regenerate fast enough to compensate for expensive or rapid use of different Functions. There are exceptions and anything noted with a Uninhibited tag does not expel enough energy to cost the Transistor anything more than it regenerates, in other words, it'll never gain or lose energy using these Functions.

There is an advantage to using expensive or rapid use of Functions, however, as each use provides a rebate of energy that goes towards Supercharging the Transistor. Once enough energy is stored, the user can utilize the Supercharge for a special ability.

In the unfortunate event that the user or the Transistor receives significant enough damage, a Function may become Defunct. A Defunct Function will not be able to be used and all passive benefits no longer apply. Defuncting is nearly entirely random (Random Number Generator) with the noted exception of one Function which will always be the last to be lost. Restoration of a Defunct Function can only be done by powering off the Transistor and is only advisable outside of battle as the process can be lengthy.

    • Crash() A Function that makes the Transistor feel weightless to its user and only its user, making attacks with the sword appear effortless. This Function also provides a Safeguard to protect its user from serious injury. Defunct results in complete vulnerability for both its user and the Transistor. This Function is Uninhibited. This Function is always last to become Defunct.

    • Breach() A Function which allows the Transistor to fire an energy bolt with the capacity to threaten, even pierce, armor and shields. This Function also provides accelerated movement and reactions from its user. Defunct results in drastically slower movements.

    • Spark() A Function that allows Transistor to shoot several fast, unstable shells that explode with a fragmentation blast.

    • Jaunt() A Function that allows theTransistor to teleport its user to a nearby location. This Function also provides a regenerative assistance to its user to recover wounds faster. Defunct results in loss of regenerative qualities. Supercharge allows for a more rapid recover of wounds.

    • Bounce() A Function that allows the Transistor to fire an electrical discharge that will ricochet in the environment, emitting an electrical shock to anything it touches. This Function also provides a deflecting shield capable of limiting damage taken. Defunct results in loss of deflecting shield. Supercharged results in magnified shield intensity.

    • Load() A Function that allows the Transistor to form a volatile Packet. Striking the Packet with energy (attack or Function) from the Transistor will result in the Packet producing a large blast.

    • Help() A Function that allows the Transistor to form a Friend to assist the user in combat. This Function also provides the user to achieve a Supercharged state. Defunct results in loss of any Supercharged state and all progress towards achieving one.

    • Mask() A Function that allows the Transistor to conceal the user's physical self and amplify the power of their next attack, motion, or Function. Note: This Function conceals the user from unassisted vision only. Note: Movement outside of autonomous actions will break concealment.

    • Ping() A Function that allows the Transistor to fire a rapid burst of kinetic bolts in an inaccurate cone of fire. This Function also provides a reduction in energy toll to all other Functions. Defunct of this Function results in full energy toll of other Functions. This Function is uninhibited.

    • Cull() A Function that allows the Transistor to send out a shock wave of kinetic energy upon impact with the ground. The wave strikes targets upward with tremendous force.

    • Void() A Function that allows the Transistor to project a storm sphere, surrounding the user, and violently electrocuting targets within its domain. This Function also provides a boost in power to all other Functions. Defunct results in loss of damage output in all other Functions. Supercharged results in Transistor triggering all Functions with increased damage output.
Here we go for now.

Charlotte

Free at last. Although Charlotte would have liked to relieve herself of the heavy swords that clung to her body, now wasn’t the best time. Leading with what could be considered a hostile action could put her in jeopardy of facing an uneven fight if a few of those other scallions are chummy-chummy with each other. Instead, Charlotte opted for a more absent approach as she was the last one down the ladder, not even bothering to climb it but instead floating gently down using her Quirk. She would have liked to leave but she could at least see what the fuss is about here. Besides, she needed allies. This little exercise made that apparent.

The basement area, if it could be called that as it looked more like a dirty cellar, was nothing impressive. What was all this? W-was this supposed to accommodations for people? For them? How grotesque. Charlotte made her way through the area, judging all she passed as she made her way to some unknown destination. She finally caught up to the bones right as she had retrieved her banana and began her demonstration of proper condom use. Goodness... what was Charlotte doing here? This wasn’t a meeting of villains, it was a meeting of juvenile delinquents.

”Humph. How absurd.” Charlotte scoffed, ”This organization, if you can even call this loose confederacy such, shouldn’t condone such a disgraceful action! This would hardly be the place I’d ever consider to be intimate and you all shouldn’t, too. Besides, I’d never submit myself to settle for pre-martial. It is just dirty!” Charlotte protested thinking only really of her circumstance. Her family was old-fashioned where saving yourself for your husband was ideal.

She turned to face the two boys who were having a tough time discovering the nature of that little piece of rubber. ”You two shouldn’t get any ideas from this demonstration. If you have any decency, you’d preserve yourself.”
Tula Kealoha

Long Jump, huh. It wasn’t particularly what she had in mind for Quirk assessment so she wasn’t really sure how her water jets would help her here. This also begged the question, does her hydroplaning count as long as she isn’t touching the ground? Probably not, she guessed. Besides, that was a better trick to use for a ground speed test, which was even more likely given the current test.

Tula planned on taking the test last to gauge where everyone else was and to come up with a plan. Obviously the wing girl would do well here, seemed tough to beat at first. Then that boy teleported. Could teleporting count as a jump? Well if his feet didn’t touch… Darn. That looked impossible to beat. A few classmates followed and jumped posting less than impressive results. It didn’t even seem like they used their Quirk, unless their Quirk was worthless in this test, which was possible.

Up next was another boy, Blitzkrieg as he called himself. He was promising that his Quirk was going to be something volatile and Tula believed him taking a step back. It was better to be safe than sorry in this case. As the boy warmed up, electricity sparked from his hands. Electricity. Oh no. If there was one thing Tula hated, it had to be that. Even a static charge from a regular person was enough to taze her! She didn’t like where this was going and since she was hovering around towards the back, she quickly retreated further so she could hide behind a tree dotting the perimeter of the field. Her bad feeling was justified as the boy blew up in a shower of sparks and soared right into the crowd, electricity whipping around dangerously close to hitting a few people before one arc actually got someone. The boy would be fine but that poor girl who got shocked was down for the count. If that had been Tula, she’d be out cold and her heart just may skip a beat or two from that electrical discharge. Note to self: avoid that guy.

Following the conclusion of that, the professor was about to carry the injured girl away but a few more still had to take test, Tula included! He must have remembered as he stopped and a few more took the test. They took their tests and it looked like everybody was about to leave. Didn’t they remember she still had to take it? Oh. She was late and was sneaky around the back of the class. Wait. WAIT! ”Wait!” Tula called out as she darted from behind her cover, figuring it was safe enough with Thunderstorm, or whatever his name was, out of the way. Tula had a running start, webbed wet feet slapping against the pavement and quickly approached the mark to jump.

She had no great plan. She was just going to turn on the jets and give it a shot. She leapt up in the air and fanned herself out evenly so that she would be better balanced from the sudden thrust. Once at the peak of her jump, she let several high pressure jets of water from her hands and feet propelling herself forward. It was honestly pretty tough to control and due to a slight shake from her hand, she ended up spinning slowing her momentum forward and just spinning very rapidly in the air. What might have been smart to do is angle her thrust down at an angle somewhat instead of just roughly parallel to the ground as she hit the sand pretty soon after she started spinning. Momentum still pushed her forward even though she landed backwards, now facing her classmates, and ended up falling back onto her rump. Even though that was less than elegant, she checked her distance.

8.43 m

Good enough. She gave the class a thumps up and joined the rest of them.
I'm starting to suspect that @pirouette has abandoned us

Not really. Weekend is busy since I have to drive back to college and catch up on homework I have put off.
