@Rune_Alchemist Alright. Heh. I do wonder a little how Ralia knew to only teleport herself, but hah. We do have it established that Teleport can be used on others because Abras teleporting others are a thing in the game, but, heh. I know Hector has a bunch of 'secret signals' for tactics they've trained in the gym, which he's been using here and there, but... heh. ANYWAYS! Nicely posted. I'll have a reply for you soon enough.

@Pikmin Eye I'm going to say "unclear" on that point. Cathia has been exchanging her Pokémon freely without consideration for any imaginary trainer-boundaries, like the ones you two have by ensuring you always have one Pokémon out each. You're currently in the midst of heated battle, there is no judge to call you out on it. If you decide to follow the same rules as Cathia, then yeah, you can. I'll keep how Cathia might react to myself, though. Teh-heh.

... Huh. I just realized, Cathia had an inherent advantage in being alone, if no matter what order her Pokémon were taken out in she'd always have her last two Pokémon at the stage. Following those rules, perhaps Martin should be allowed to send out his other Pokémon right about now?

Flabébé flew to block Vine Whips, but no Vine Whips came. Instead, Sprout dashed and jumped into the water, making Onix have to break to avoid splashing into the wet substance which would have ensured defeat. Flabébé, weak and a little confused, finally let out a little cry as the last of her health was sapped by the Leech Seed binding her and she fell to the ground, fainted. ‘Flaaaa…’

‘Flabébé…!’ Cathia cried out a little, before biting together and returning the fairy to her Pokéball, before grabbing and throwing her one other remaining Pokémon into the mix. Marill bounced out, ready to play again with a little smile on its blue body, but it still retained substantial damage from before.

‘Onix, back away from the water, Rock Throw! Marill, be ready to Water Gun the Bulbasaur’s attacks, but otherwise, Tail Whip!’ Cathia commanded. And, as commanded, Onix pulled away from the water a bit, the huge shape making echoing noise as the rock snake curled its tail another boulder to throw. Tinier Marill dashed to stand at its side, and unless otherwise seeing Sprout do anything, would Tail Whip.

So, what would he do now?

@Eklispe I'll be on a bit of a vacation the next 10 days, so you don't really need to hurry to write the next post in the adventures of Wisp Creep, heh.

Pokémon: Start

... That post was originally intended on being posted on Monday. Then I'd be like "So, from Friday this week to Sunday next week, I'll be unavailable as my family's going on vacation. So, if you're fast enough, I'll see if I can post for you on Thursday too to make up for it if you're fast enough!"

... But now I got delayed and am posting on Thursday. Huh. ... So, I'm going to be missing for 10 days, pretty much. My apologies
for that coming out of the blue, now, instead. I can't guarantee I'll have a post up quickly upon my return, but I'll do my best! Maybe I might even have internet, though I wouldn't be able to be active much. Haha. We'll see.

Pokémon: Start

Yeah, nope. Eggs have no difference whatsoever on them that indicate what kind of Pokémon lies within. It’s simply a fairly large oval egg that has numerous green spots of varying sizes here and there on its mid-section. All eggs have that. Impossible to tell what might lie within.

Erza turned and dashes towards the west, into the road leading to the Silent Forest. On this route, it soon enough stopped raining, but on account of having been rained on before Erza was definitely still soaked. In any case, he passed through the forest, heading towards the destination.

Path to Silent Shrine

This on the inside of Silent Forest. To the left and right are two different parts of the forest, the right side considerably darker due to the rain-clouds overhead. The only real sounds that can be heard is that of the wind blowing through the forest and rustling its many leaves, otherwise it feels very silent and calm. This, with of course, the exception of the trainer coming sprinting down the path in the direction of the shrine waiting at the end. On the way, he might run path small surprised-looking green bulb-Pokémon looking past him as he run, or white cloud-like beings floating by him in the wind as he dashes by.

Pokédex Entry #548 – Petilil, the Bulb Pokémon. They prefer to live areas with moist, nutrient-rich soil. They’ve been known to be used by humans to find areas suitable for planting plants. The leaves on their heads come right back when plucked off, and while extremely bitter, they’re known to refresh a tired body.

Pokédex Entry #546 – Cottonee, the Cotton Puff Pokémon. They’re extremely light and mostly go where the wind guide them. They’re known to feel more at ease in a group, so they stick together with others of its kind and resemble clouds floating about. If attacked, they shoot cotton at their attacker to distract them.

… Of course, if any of those made Erza stop his dash, then it was totally alright and he can continue his actions from here. He just doesn’t need to open the below hider. Otherwise, he was free to continue dashing, eventually reaching the opening on the end of the path, and emerge in sight of…

Silent Shrine

While not necessarily at night, it’s a shrine inside the forest. Red pillars and walls adorned with white drapes and lantern statues stand to light up the area during night, and the place is clean and so. The air feels fresh and serene, and few sounds can be heard other than that of wind blowing through the nearby trees. The Silent Shrine does hold up to its name like that. However, also can be noted, there’s basically nothing here. It’s a spot important to locals and traditions say you should be praying at the shrine before your journey. The one thing that does stand out, is that there’s a guy manning a little shop on the side, selling small souvenirs of proof of having been here as well as leaflets telling the tales of this place of tradition.

Should he enter, he’ll find the shrine to be basically the same on the inside, a place with white walls held up by red pillars, and an altar to an unknown figure in the furthest in. There, one could pray to whatever it is should one desire, and in fact, there were a couple of trainers here doing exactly that.

They were reasonably grown young men. One had brown hair, a strong posture and stood tall, looking over the place with a bit of boredom while he himself looked like had absolute confidence in himself. The other had light-green hair, wore glasses and had an overall expression of that the world in itself was annoying, while he stared at the altar. Of course, Erza didn’t know who they were. The following is a conversation that will take place regardless if Erza listened in or not, but he can have heard it if he wants to.

‘Tsk. The Gym Leader wasn’t here. Where’s she, then? If she’s not in town, and not at her shrine…’ The brown-haired one complained a bit, looking around the otherwise empty shrine with disdain.

‘Don’t whine, Rodger. If you had listened to the words of the townsfolk, you’d have heard she often gets lost inside Silent Forest. We’ll have to assume this is the case.’ The glassed one commented, analyzing the altar of the shrine.

Rodger

‘Well, I’m not looking for a lost little girl in a forest if I can help it.’ Rodger scoffed, before turning to glare at his companion who was kneeling in front of the altar and clasping hands together while closing his eyes. ‘ … Oaken. What are you doing?’ Rodger asked.

Oaken

‘Praying.’ Oaken simply responded. Rodger scoffed again, looking away and at a wall.

‘I didn’t take you for the kind.’ He simply said.

‘I’m not. I’m simply honouring a local tradition.’ Oaken replied, not in the slightest bothered by the words of his travelling companion.

‘… Peh. Waste of time.’ Didn’t seem like Rodger appreciated it.

‘Maybe. Then again, they say those who’ve prayed at this shrine are blessed by a spirit of victory, and if that just happened to be true, then I wouldn’t consider this time wasted.’ Oaken simply commented.

‘Your call. But I’m not kneeling to any speculative sprites for my success.’ Rodger shrugged.

‘All champions of Isson are recorded to have prayed to this shrine at one point or another.’ Oaken simply defended, causing Rodger to frown as he considered the words for a couple of more seconds. Then Rodger shrugged again.

‘… So be it. I’ve made my decision. I showed my worth and got a Pokédex without relying on spirits, and that’s how I’ll continue.’ He reaffirmed, with determination.

‘Suit yourself.’ Oaken simply remarked, continuing his praying.

So the conversation concluded, Oaken sitting in place a little longer while Rodger glared into a wall waiting for him to be done.

Sprout turned to send a Leech Seed at Flabébé, and Cathia had a choice to make. She made it.

‘Flabébé, COMMIT!’ She commanded, and as commanded, Flabébé committed to the attack, letting the Leech Seed latch onto her and bound it’s health-sapping vines onto the fairy, but Flabébé flew forth.

Atlas came out and went into the way of the rock Onix threw, while also preparing to throw mud at Flabébé. However, when the boulder hit it sent Atlas rolling and slammed into a nearby rock, causing remarkable damage as the rock crumbled against Atlas’ steel shell but shook his insides. It’s Not Very Effective, but it was a Critical Hit. Atlas fainted. But, the rock sure stopped.

Flabébé hit Sprout with her tackle. It didn’t hurt all that much, but it did more than Leech Seed sucked back through the unseen connection in the air between them. Flabébé gasped a bit from the drain, but… while she barely had anything left… she wasn’t yet out, and smiled again, because she was making another Tackle.

‘Flabébé, block any vine whips! Onix, SLAM HIM!’ Cathia commanded, pointing at the grass Pokémon.

Onix, undisturbed by how the rock had been stopped, kicked off and surged towards Sprout. Now, Onix didn’t actually know Slam, but a Tackle from a surging Onix coming forth at full speed was sure to hurt way more than Flabébé’s Tackle anyway. It could be noticed by now that Onix’s level was a bit above that of surrounding Pokémon. Cathia had delved into the Wet Caverns and come out on the other side with a powerful price. She had obviously wanted to show it off, but ended up against a horrible type-match up. Still, she tries.

Now, Martin stood alone, but against two greatly weakened opponents. What would be his commands?

Joshua smirked from ear to ear at being called “gallant”. A childish smirk of joy. Anyways, moving on.

‘Cooldome, eh?’ Joshua smirked while playfully shuddering a bit. ‘Can’t even imagine living in such a place. Must be extremely cold. Which is probably why you don’t look even the slightest bothered by this cold. Yet, your presence and smile is so bright and comfortingly warm…’ He grins. ‘I guess that’s how you keep warm in Cooldome, eh?’

‘Johanna Olson, correct?’ Ewan remarked, having heard from the encounter with Lesley. ‘I’ll keep it in mind. Thank you.’ He nods to her, and then they could head on.

‘Honestly, I want to check out the Frozen Cavern a bit! I realize you both already have ice-Pokémon, but hey, don’t leave me behind, I want to be cool, too!’ Joshua grins about what he wants to do.

‘Yes. Catching more Pokémon is a priority. Our teams are not balanced yet.’ Ewan agreed. ‘I’d wish to examine the wild-life here to see if there’s anything out of the ordinary that could be captured.’

But then… yeah, house. It’s a red house placed right next to a cliff-face on one side and a waterfall going down from the mountain on the other, the house looking really square but also large,

‘Huh. Who’d live out there?’ Joshua asked.

‘It’s still fairly close to Lakewatch Town. It’s not like it’s completely secluded.’ Ewan logically stated. Still, they approached…

So. There’s a sign. A sign with a huge arrow pointing at the door. “Inviting Pokémon Trainers!”, it says. So, would she enter?

IF SHE ENTERS…

… So. It’s a regular one-room house. There’s a bed in the corner. A couple of shelves here and there with personal belongings and books. The floor is square plates of smooth mineral, heated from below. There are windows outside, and in the back is a large, white stone wall against the mountain. There’s a refrigerator and cooking area, with oven and all the things. Around the place, on window-shelves, in the book-shelves, and on the walls, there are framed photographs, all of the same man. A older man, bald on top of his head with a band of hair still clinging to the sides of his head, looking jolly and posing with a younger, extremely exhilarated kid…

A table stands in the middle, with numerous chairs around. … Except, one of the chairs is absurdly oversized. In fact, it’s about the size if there was a chair, someone sat down on the chair, and then threw over ANOTHER chair that covered the fact someone was sitting on a chair under. Oh, and there’s air-holes, and the chair’s wearing a pair of red-rimmed glasses.

You’re being watched…

And it’s bloody obvious from where.

Lorette looked a bit confused, but okay. The Raltses dared to come out again as the more aggressive emotions of the two Virtue Grunts left the area, and they were more at ease with Amelia and Lorette. Larvesta was still in place, and gave a little comfortable grunt as Amelia patted its head.

‘It’s okay. It’s not something you could help.’ Lorette said with a little smile. She breathed in, and let Amelia warm herself up a bit more. A Ralts offered her a towel, if she wanted to dry herself with that. They seemed to be thankful about the aggressive people being chased off.

Now, you edited that out, but still

If Amelia did check for Gastly’s areas in the Pokédex, it’d give a message.

Currently Unknown

But, Amelia knows very well that Gastlys are more than common at the Witchpeak Cemetery and on Route 19, and so every inhabitant or visitor of Witchpeak knows as well. Most of Isson knows that. However, as she could observe by checking other Pokémon, the Pokédex has records of Pokémon she has encountered in the wild. It simply has no data until someone with a Pokédex linked to Kalmia’s system encounters one. None of them have encountered a wild Gastly yet while in possession of a Pokédex. This feature of the Pokédex is still being updated.

‘I suppose it’s about time for me to get going back. There’s probably some trainers who want to challenge me by now.’ Lorette analysed, but of course Amelia was warming herself on Larvesta right now. Couldn’t leave until she was done. ‘Ledian can Safeguard us from the rain’ that totally works ‘so, want to come?’ Lorette asked, looking over Amelia.

‘Oh, and Flabébés? I may need some help to get home.’ Lorette smiled up at the floating fairies, who smiled back and gave some happy calls. Because, yupp. Without their help, Lorette’s just going to get lost again.

Conkeldurr moved to intercept Froakie, and it really looked like he’d be able to intercept where the frog jumped this time, but the sudden blast of wind hitting the larger Pokémon actually shook him off-course and Froakie barely managed to dodge under the giant slab that was swung to hit him. Froakie, while exhausted, managed to jump a bit away to safety, spinning around to face their enemy again. Meanwhile, Conkeldurr also took Ralia’s Confusion, along with more poison damage. It was… REALLY starting to pile up, now. It was impossible to tell how little, but Conkeldurr could not take much more.

‘Alright. Rock Throw.’ Hector commanded with a smirk, and Conkeldurr raised his huge concrete block over his head and looked like he was about to send it flying at Ralia and Lure… but instead swung about and it flew at Froakie, who hadn’t been entirely ready because of Conkeldurr’s feint, and unfortunately wasn’t able to dodge out of the way again in his somewhat exhausted condition. The slab came crashing down and Froakie stumbled out of the blow after having at least being able to avoid being flattened, but fell over from the damage of the impact and fainted.

But, while that happened, Conkeldurr took another Gust and Confusion, both super-effective moves that caused the Pokémon to recoil angrily, it’s movements now noticeably sluggish and injured-seeming, and it glared at the unit of two remaining opponents.

‘ALRIGHT! ONLY TWO TO GO!’ Hector shouted out, clutching a fist at Lure and Ralia. ‘Charge them and CHIP AWAY! And if they teleport…’ Hector smirked. ‘Await my call!’

‘Conkeldurr…!’ The Pokémon called out, and hit its remaining slab into the floor and launched himself at Lure and Ralia, specifically aiming for Lure. Now, Lure was fast, but Conkeldurr was faster by sheer level-difference. However, they still had some time before the fighting-type arrived, and it was still possible to dodge by sheer maneuvering even if Conkeldurr was faster. But, Hector behind was jumping a bit back to the nearest wall, keeping his wits around looking around. If they didn’t teleport then he trusted Conkeldurr to have them beat, but if they did teleport, Hector was ready to report their next position.

For a slight look into the future, if Ralia teleported them and Hector could see them, he’s quickly call out their position and Conkeldurr would spin and throw the remaining slab of rock in that direction, sending it flying with his massive strength.

So. What would they do?
